  • AHORITA, OCTUBRE 2011..MUCHOS DE ESTOS NEGOCIOS..YA SE FUERON...VINIERON OTROS..Y TAMBIEN SE FUERON!!..JAJAJAJA

Y?...A DONDE SE FUE "RITMO LATINO"???

  • @cubano305puto Wrong dude. I live in NYC in Washington Heights, that's hardly a white suburb. I don't hide my race or my nationality either, I proudly claim that I am a mix of Cuban-American but that still will not stop me from saying the truth, Union City is now a cesspool. Get your facts straight and open your eyes, the people who are there now are not the same hard-working Cubans, Germans, Italians and Irish people that I knew growing up.

  • I must say, i'm glad i moved on and no longer live there. The town and surrounding areas are just not the same..

Jersey way of living in general is quite a haggle of stick and move, rush rush kinda life style, where people get dressed up just to go to the mall. $1300 a month rent to live in a box??

NO Thanx!!! I Miss dirty Jerz, but not that much!!

    I must be getting old!

I like sunny days,no snow and not having to argue over a parking space:)

  • I AGREE .good by dirty jerzy... i love it but cant stand the roaches. yuck..

  • Just, great food, getting together with friends, hangin out on Bergenline. It was Ghetto Fab, but it was fun!

Speaking of Bergenline Ave, every old timer from Union City that returns, for whatever reason (visit), will agree that going on B'line again is a true indication of how much Union City has gone DOWN HILL! I hate to diss my old stomping grounds, but yes, we all strive for better things in life, so I rather remember Union City as the fun little shit hole it was! Good child hood memories.

  • so true good child memories. i loved bergenline the shopping the food . the people . but so much has changed since i was a kid.

  • FouFouGrrl, unfortunately I must agree.

Back in the day, growing up there you were blind to the shit hole, because everybody, all cultures blended nicely, everyone got along. No wannabe gang nonsense.. A wonderful melting pot!

    .

  • I use to DJ High School dances for EHS, UHS, Memorial and St Joes!

Sports rivalries were great between all local schools, especialy Emerson vs Union Hill (Turkey Day football at Roosevlt Stadium)

  • Emerson eagles woo hoo

  • Lived there for years, graduated from Emerson, hung out at Union Hill at lunch time, went from Oddessy to Zenon to Studio, all in that order...Many great memories!!! Man, times have changed!

  • city limits!!!!!

  • I miss my city

  • this is my city nd i run shit out here lol

  • Did live there for 19 yrs & then left for what I think were better places. Some people are not content to stay living in one place just because they were born there, especially when it has become a ghetto.

BTW - I can tell by the caliber of your wordy response that you also benefited from a "top notch" Union City education. Let me guess, Robert Waters or maybe Edison? Either way, good for you and thank you for proving my point!

  • ahhh home sweet home..

  • this is my home town also

  • first who ever took these pics learn that Bambi & that $10spot stores along with some other shots are in West New York NOT Union City. If you going to represent Union City get the right pictures.

  • NO SHIT HOLE

  • Union city consisted of more then just Bergenline Ave. No love for Palisade, Summit or New York Ave huh.... rep the whole town.

  • Even more of a shit hole than it was back in the day.
