  • this is great :]

  • Thanks. Merry Christmas

  • Monsignor Moss started this almost 20 years ago with permission of the local bishop which under the "Motu Proprio' is not required anymore. People of the parish had gathered a lot of signatures of people who wanted the TLM back into the church. This petition was sent to the bishop who then agreed. FYG. Monsignor Moss has his own website under his name. If you are interested please check. His extension is .com He was just a wonderful and kind priest. We miss him a lot.

  • This is the first Mass I have seen celebrated ad orientem at a free standing altar. This is a beautiful Mass, how does one institute its celebration at a parish church?

  • Must Christ be continually sacrificed in the mass, or was His blood sacrifice on the cross 100% sufficient to pay for all our sins for ever? In John19:30 Jesus said, "IT IS FINISHED", which in the Greek is "Tetelestai" meaning "to make an END, to ACCOMPLISH, to COMPLETE something, not mearly to end it, but to bring it to perfection or its intended goal."

  • Your are obviously not Roman Catholic. It is a view that some Christians have who do not like to think about hell. But that is a very real thing. The sacrifice of the Mass is the core of our faith. Christ said: "Do this in memory of me" when he offered his body and blood during the last supper. The body he gave up for us and the blood he shed. When he said: "It is finished" means that He had completely fulfilled his Father's will. The rest is now up to us.

  • This church is holy.

  • I believed the Priest who celebrate this Latin Mass already died, I'm not sure when> May God grant rest to his soul. he is a holy priest.

  • Unfortunately you are right. We still miss him every day. He was indeed a beloved and holy priest.

  • You are correct. He died July 9, 2006. He was indeed a holy priest. His website is all

    about his priestly life.

  • Oh my to me it seems so firmiler to the new mass but whats different is the latin thats all I pray to God to bring it back and im only 17 and i love it does anyone know if there going to bring it back Universaly if anyone does please responed back please.

    God bless :) :D

  • The Motu Propio gives the option to celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass in any parish worldwide without consent of the bishop.

  • West Bangor is located between Bangor and Pen Argyl. TLM is now held in Allentown-St.Stephens

and Scranton plus some locations in New Jersey.

  • What is the status of the Church Now?

  • St. Roch's church is still under appeal and nothing has changed up to now.

  • Which Diocease?

Why not start a Rosary novena with fellow former parishonars.?

  • Diocese of Allentown, PA. The rosary is prayed every day for as long as I can remember. Every morning before Holy mass. Are you really 108 years old?????

  • They should make this the traditional Latin Mass chapel (either FSSP or ICK) for your Diocease. What Diocease is this and in What State?

  • Don't you think we have not been working on it, the appeal is still in Rome but it appears that they don't have any priests available. We have also contacted them directly on this matter. Rest assured the closure was not accepted without any protests and actions taken.

  • Dominus vobiscum

  • Et cum spíritu túo.

  • Et Pax Domini sit semper tecum.

  • Great latin mass gloria in excelsis deo, beatiful

  • Et cum spiritu tuo

  • Et cum spiritu tuo, and peace be with you always

  • Latin Mass is a beautiful singing of Catholic Liturgy, as the Seven Sacrements, there are Seven Sessions. Commencing in Confession of sins and Our Lord's Mercy; the Gloria be to God on Highest; The teaching from the Gospel, in response, the faithful Profession of the Creeds; The Secrificial Offering and Consecration of the Holy Eucharist; The Lord's Prayer shows us an example of Humility; Lamb of God takes away the sins of the world, yet I am not worthy to receive Him but I DO; Go in Peace, Amen

  • Peace with you and yours always.

  • Et cun spiritu tuo

  • Thank God the mass exists! We have the mass in the Western Rite Orthodox church. I used to serve a mass provided by the FSSP but now am attending a Mass of St. Gregory. It is the same liturgy and both are awsome. This video is great for learning how to serve the mass. Watch everything!

  • After much prayer and consideration, after viewing these beautiful Tridentine liturgy videos, I made the decision to return to the church. There is nothing like this mass and I love the Real Presence of our Lord and savior.

  • May God bless you and that you may find Him in this beautiful Holy Mass.

  • Deo gratias!!!

  • I grew up attending the Tridentine Mass. If anyone wants to know about the nearest Mass in their area (US or Canada), contact me and I tell you everything I can. All the Masses I will let you know about will be the exact same, no matter where you live ;)

  • I grew up in the Tridentine Mass. For any that are interested you can contact me and I will give you the nearest Tridentine Mass. I've got a list that covers the US and Canada...and no matter which one you go to, they will all be the same ;)

  • Please try to attend and even if it is a new experience you will learn to appreciate it.

It is so truly CATHOLIC!!! That's when you really feel comfortable! God bless you.

  • Thank you for posting this video!

As someone discerning conversion to Catholicism, what draws me to the Church are those things that distinguish her from Protestantism and other faiths. Making the mass resemble an evangelical fellowship might make Catholics who don't understand their traditions feel more comfortable, but I doubt it has led to any more conversions, especially from Protestantism.

I found a parish in my area that conducts the Tridentine mass and I hope to attend.

  • I'm not a Catholic, but thanks to youtube I can appreciate the beauty of the Tridentine mass. It's a shame that masses differ so widely depending on the parish. I visited one last week where there were altar girls and a "worship" song (evangelical Protestant). Perhaps parishes in heavily Protestant areas are starting to resemble their non-Catholic neighbors?

One of the beauties of the Church is her tradition, history, and recognition of the importance of solemn worship and ritual.

  • You are so correct in stating that masses differ between parishes and that should never be. I have been traveling for near 40 years due to my profession but it is a shame that you first have to look around if you are in the right place. That NEVER would happen with churches where the Traditional Latin Mass is celebrated. Please love thy neighbor if they are protestant but don't join them.

  • Whoa...why is the benedictus after consecration? That's so weird for it to be not after the sanctus.

  • I think we received 2 messages?

In any case to answer your question this High Mass was celebrated on New Years Day.

    God bless

  • Beautiful. The Latin Mass is central to authentic Catholicism. It should be revived and it's propagation lead by all catholic Priests. Anyway we already know its translation even if we didn't study Latin. Better if we know Latin.

  • the sad thing is that so many churches have been modified for the novus ordo mass, hence the small altar and not the grand high altar

  • You are correct. Fortunately there are quite a few churches where the high-altar has been kept in its original state. In that case all it takes is remove that "table".

  • This video is very good. It makes me happy that Benedcit is trying to fix what untold damages the Vatican II has incurred on the Sacraments, most especially, "The Sacrament of All Sacraments"

    Viva il Papa!!!

  • Gloria in Exelcis Dei !!

  • The moto proprio took effect september 15 at the feast of the exaltation of the holy cross, so it is in effect and there is much hope even among moderate older priests that the slight revival of the tridentine mass for those who desire it will lead to a realigning of the new mass in with the real truth that the old mass preaches though they are both valid forms of sacrifice

    pax vobiscum

  • IHS! (In hoc salus!)

  • Dutch people can attend such a tidental latin mass at the St. Agneschurch, At the Amstelveense weg! Two fssp priest keep the tradition alive!

  • The parish in Alkmaar needs such a mass to attract more people! We need priests like this. No more Jan Bus!

  • Hi, thanks for a beautiful latin mass! I would be going if it were available in our country!

    God bless, P

  • May be soon when the Pope's MP comes into effect. Keep just praying, don't give up. God bless

  • The Traditional Latin Mass is the TRUE Mass. The Mass of the Saints. The Mass of the Ages. The Fullness of Graces are in this Holy Mass; unlike the modern ones which are similar to Protestant services. I highly recommend all to attend who have not done so as yet.

  • It is a bit disconcerting to estimate the average age of the congregants in this video.

I grew up after Vatican II, and was the beneficiary/victim of guitar masses and so forth. I never heard mass in Latin until I spent time in Germany. The Latin Novus Ordem is also beautiful. Unfortunately, my city is losing it's only priest who performs the Latin N.O.

    I've never been to a 1962-Missal mass.

  • I don't know if I read you right but 2/3rd. of the congregation are young families. Don't look too much for the older ones. They were unfortunately part of the problem ever since the 60's.

  • That's good news, and not much of surprise: Those of us who grew up in the 1970s--at least in the US--never had a chance to hear the old style mass. One parish in town here does the Novus Ordo on alternate Sundays. That's it. But most of the Catholics I know who are late-30s to early-40s would take our families to Latin mass in a heartbeat, if given the opportunity.

Out bishop is fairly solid. So now I have hope. Thanks for posting!

  • Excellent. Great news about the Moto Propio. I think most Catholics do not even know about the Latin Mass. I think the MP will grow the ranks of the Latin Mass.

  • Is this an indult mass; i.e. has the blessing of the local bishop?

  • I would like to try attending one of THOSE Masses someday!!!

  • If you have it in your area, definitely try. You will keep coming back. God bless.

  • I love the traditional mass, I wouldn't go to any other...

  • You are right. Any other could not come close it.

  • Look at what the modernists destroyed

  • Yes, it does not take a brain surgeon to see that.

    Truly sad.

  • Great!!! W THE CATHOLIC LATIN MASS!!!!!!!!!!

  • THIS is a mass!

  • Yes, indeed! Thanks!

  • Incredibly touching. He must have been a wonderful man.

  • Thank you in his name. He indeed was a wonderful priest.

  • Hey, my middle name is Roch, and I also love the Tridentina Mass and I am a seminarian.

  • Would you celebrate it as a priest if it is allowed?

  • Sorry but I am not a priest. But if I was one you bet I would!!!

  • so solemn, beautiful mass
