  • Bicycle Motocross is the best type of bicycle racing!!! BMX Rules!

  • Oh man last month I was on a bmx ride in LA with about 200 other riders and Greg Hill was there. Awesome ride and he even raffled off a custom made bike.

  • To helipilot727... Do it man! I started back a couple years ago and I'm lovin it!

  • Wow, this really brought back memories, I raced through the 80's and I sure miss the racing scene then. I loved the pics in the mags of the pros, all great role models at the time. Things have changed, but today I watched a national race and have been thinking about racing again at 38..!

  • Very cool vid....

I had an 81GTpro and then 83Gtpro in the early 80's. Now I got an 08GHPpro xl... No guessing who my hero was back in the day!

  • I got a GT Pro bike from '83 thanks to Greg winning on his so much.Smoothest bmx bike I ever rode, and jumped good too.too bad it had wings on the down tube and flew away one day

  • Very cool. The music complimented the pictures quite nicely. I don't know how many people know this, but Greg started racing pro at 14. I have a picture of him racing pro at a Shawnee, OK national in 1978. All of the top pros were there. I was a year older than him, but never got the chance to race him. At least I don't think so. I raced 15 and 16 expert, but only went to a couple of nationals.

  • I raced during 1980 and watched all you guys at the Pontiac Silverdom. Back in the Harry Larry Days. My nephew races today 14 expert Brandon McDowell. Check him out when you have time!

    Uncle B

  • Makes me want to break out my Pro Team Model....I think I have the first year when GT took over for Robinson....1987 or so.

  • They don't make bikes like they used to.

  • man i loved te 80's,and i'm still ridin!!!

  • If your looking for Greg, Oz and others, check out BMXActionOlineDotCom. He's still very active in the sport. And there's lots of stuff about the old BMXA mag.

  • OMG,Damn I remeber the days with me on my Diamond Back Silver Streak and my brother on his Harry Leary Turbo Diamond back racing in the early 80's..man those were the days!

  • Skills, Power and a beard- Greg had it all......I always wanted a GHP for Xmas but I never got one....so sad.ride on.

  • OMG he came to my home track a couple years ago!i just remembered

  • I used to breath, eat and sleep BMX...he was my first BMX hero!!!!

Where have all those guys from back then gone too??

  • there are still around. Greg still races for GHP his old company.

  • Awesome! I recognize these pictures since I still have most of the magazines [bmx action, bmx plus]they came out of. Greg Hill was one of the best riders ever in bmx history. I have seen him during the world championships in Holland in 1983 and he was my hero back then. Great memories.
