We don't 'all hate each other' - that's as accurate as referring to the Confederate States of America as a modern institution. Putting the world under a single government is a rather dangerous idea, if we needed to defend ourselves from Aliens or we simply hit the next stage to where we're constantly in interaction with Alien civilizations, I would suggest the formation of a confederacy, every country or region maintains its control over its territory, lets say there's 8 territories, well 1 territory wants to change the system through military force, the other 7 simply smack it down.

For all nations to unite they would have to retain a great deal of autonomy and have a say in what happens resembling a federation. The point is we never had such a thing so there is no way to explain what it would be. The nations that supported rebels did not send in troops to defend them but revolution spreads like wildfire look at the 1840s as an example.

@JakeJohnRogers Lol. I'm sorry, but I had a good laugh at this. I don't mean to be disrespectful, but your argument makes little... no, it makes almost zero sense. The whole idea behind the struggle is that theists have beliefs that are other worldly, not based in reality; therefore, illogical. And no, I doubt some of the rash decisions theists make would happen if theism vanished. The human race would instead fight in reality based on real values and morals; an unavoidable conflict, sadly.

@papastiffy lol no they wouldn't, your words make it seem like as if everyone became an atheist that all struggles and ignorance would vanish, and people would become a lot smarter. People would still act the same, except without the religious wars, which haven't been as big or as aggressive as they were. Also, how can you say atheists would fight over reality based things, when many atheist scientists are talking about 11 dimensions, multiple universes and alien contact.

@JakeJohnRogers OK, you missed reading my entire comment. In order to have this argument you need to pay attention else it gets boring. I said atheists would still fight, the human collective cannot avoid this at our time in the evolutionary stage. And you act like science is fake if you are ignorant to the LOGICAL thought process that goes on behind discovering 11 dimensions, parallel universes and the possibility of other life. Scientists dont see a second hand book and call it the word of god

@hayato735 Not really. Type 3 is not a medically accepted term. It is often used to refer to gestational diabetes. The types are not important though, the underlying cause is.

I'd rather say the opposite, that NAFTA being born fairly later than the EU was created to compete with the latest, unlike Dr. Kaku suggests on several vids. Come on, NAFTA members can not even freely go into each other's countries, whereas the EU is far more than economics, above everything an opt-in supranational goverment if u may with its our parliament (hence its importance in terms of a type I civilization). Still great thoughts and crystal clear speeching as usual from our friend Michio.

I only wish I was intelligent enough to understand the kinds of things physicists do. Then again, it would be like knowing the trick behind a magic trick, it just wouldn't be impressive anymore. Then again, there would be far greater puzzles to solve, and a chance to advance civilization. Then again...

And He has made between them a barrier and a forbidding partition" - Clearly here is a reference to the separation between the drinkable fresh water from lakes and rivers and the salty sea water. The barrier is clearly the land in this case yet islamic scholars claim its a reference to differing sea water densities being in separate streams. It does not say this in the quran.

But clearly states nothing but a non-provable heaven and the earth being somehow disconnected. Totally abstract and no revealing conclusion can be made in relation to science from anything stated in the quran.

The islamic scholars attempt to associate the dust clouds seen via satellite images with this extremely vague statement which prior to these images being released would have been interpreted as stated; as actual smoke, which is what it says, not dust clouds or anything else.

Its very tricky territory when having a skeptical inquiry on religion. Especially religions that claim to be pristine, perfect and never changing. The other night I was having a chat about the imperfect nature of some suras in the quran that had to do with sun and the moon following a geocentric model. It was, dreadful he could hardly control his emotions. Instead of having a calm demeanor speaking only for clarity and the sake of truth , I was labeled a valueless ,filthy sex-crazed atheist.
