The founder of The Weather Channel is John Coleman, who was a former Good Morning America meterologist, and did the weather in Chicago, and does the weather today in San Diego (my hometown).

I remember when TWC logo was changed. It was August 1, 2005. It was changed from a TV logo to a solid colored square.

It's something that the Weather Channel has NEVER changed it's logo.

A slight change a few years ago, they went from a TV shaped logo to a square logo.
