Wow! I remember watching John and Robert demonstrate their machines and the Hirobo line they carried at the 1982 IMS show in Pasadena. I immediately bought a Cricket, but could never fly it the way those two did. Thanks for the blast from the past.

Wow what a blast from the past. I can't even begin to count how many people I trained with the Cricket. Learning to fly today is child's play compared to learning back then.
I would venture a guess that most of today's pilots would ball it up into a pile of junk if they lost a Gyro. I bet most people today would give up trying to learn if they had to learn to fly a fixed pitch bird using an airplane radio with no gyro. Only real men flew Helicopters back then!
