Just a note,there is no such thing as a 'police scanner'. They are actually public service scanners and if your local police are still using analog(most are digital now) radio system, you can receive their calls. There are no laws in Ontario prohibiting communication scanners. If you can receive a signal it's fair game...enjoy.

I live about 10 minutes outside Winchester. I wish I live in Winchester!!! I got my scanner at The Source in Ottawa. I got it for (about) $200.

Well, I wish I can get police. Your not allowed to have police scanners. This scanner I have is a hand held scanner. Like the CP frequency, that is analog. Police use digital frequencies. And my name is Riley.
