Wow that guy..... I would have KICKED....HIS....ASS. No one EVER talks to me like that. With that footage I would put him behind bars. Not help him fix his boat. Puh-lease....
It is a sad fact of life that many animals suffer abuse of some kind during their lives. Abuse can take the form of physical assaults or punishment - but many suffer from the silent abuse of neglect. please support abused pets by visiting ABUSED-PETS DOT COM
I am a resident of Corpus Christi and the wild cat population is out of control. People will feed them and not give a thought to the fact that they are just prepetuating the cycle......I know a few brave souls who will catch and fix cats. I am not surprised about the chaining of dogs, I see it often. People here are much more interested in protecting property from damage, graffiti offenders have some of the highest penalties in the state. Dog and cat abuse comes last.
yup thats Corpus! This makes me very sad but its so true how so many people there leave animals chained up, people even let there dogs run around. I know this first hand cause i was born and raised there. I walked to school almost every day of my life and it sucked so bad to have a million dogs barking at you and or follow you. Walking at night was the worst! No matter what street you go down there's someone waiting. If you ask my mom I would try to bring a dog home like once a week. Very Sad!
Thank you for being there for Shepp, for all the Shepp's ! Our hearts broke when this case was made public -:( and we are so sorry that his suffering wasn't taken seriously by the courts. How sad :( May what goes around come around to those who cause his suffering and death.
stray cats and given them a dream life that i would have wanted if i were a cat :) and i know that there are also a lot of good caring dog owners here as well. I applaud you for bringing attention to these matters and too hope people become aware of the treatment of helpless animals. Again thank you for your efforts and i wish you much success in the education of animal laws...<3 R.I.P SHEPP <3
Well tammy i must say i am also outraged by what the lunas received as a sentence it is beyond pitiful that poor shepp recieved a death "sentence" i cried everytime the story was on. Since i live in corpus christi i know that the conditions some of these animals live in is horrific but know that not all of the city is like this. The parts you showed were the poor side of town and i don't expect any less. However be sure that there are good people here like myself that has taken in 6 cats...
Animal abuse happens everywhere. To portray this as a way of life in Corpus is ludicrous. Go to the midwest where it happens all the time. No one says that's the midwest. Bad people everywhere. That's why these organizations get laughed off half the time. They only show one side and people know it. Lots of animal lovers in Corpus.
Where are the lawmakers? They should be ashamed that they are not prosecuting these people in an appropriate way. Shame on them. What have we become. Shep certainly deserved better.
How brave of you, Tammy, to confront animal abusers in Texas -- especially when the law allows these gun-toting rough-necks to shoot at will anyone they can drag into their house and claim was an 'intruder.'
Hey!!! You don't bring a knife to a gun fight...if someone physically threatens my well being you better believe im going to protect myself that doesn't mean we are rough necks...now someone who would shoot a person for no reason is a murderer not a texan...
We don't have to drag them into our house. They just have to be threatening us while on our property. We have the lowest crime rate in the country because who mugs someone who probably carries a gun. As for rough necks, Texas has soem of the highest educated, richest people in the world. We also have bad people just like everyone else.
Probation and fines for the despicable Luna duo who left Shepp to starve to death on a chain that was embedded in his neck? OUTRAGEOUS! Corpus Christi lawmakers, shame on YOU!
The anti-cruelty laws in the U.S. are pathetic, as pathetic as the loud-mouth hillbilly with the four wives and more kids than we can count. Sickening!
It is totally ludicrious that the "owners" of Shep only got a fine. If our laws don't become tougher to help these animals, then they will always die at the hands of morons. As for the guy from Corpus Christi, He deserves the moron medal of the month. The more he talked the stupider he got. Bravo to him. NOT. Thanks for all you are doing to help the chained dogs. May Sheps death not be in vain and may we learn from mistakes.
I remember the rescue of Shepp and am heartbroken that this sweet innocent dog died and that he ever went through what he did. Thank you for taking him in and letting him know there are good people. Anyone who can, please help this organization. Thank you Tammy and Dogs Deserve Better.
here in polk county florida, if the dogs have food and water, and shelter( which only has to be a tree) thats all that is needed for complience of the law.they can be in a pen for all of their lives without freedom, and exercise and thats ok with polk county,or on a chain sleeping in the mud and thats ok.....that is what its like to be a slave, and that is so sad
This fool should be in prison we live in a civilized nation with laws. He is not accepting either
