I almost broke a damn leg at the Spot/Dishwalla/Refreshments concert back in the day... Storm106 was my whole reason for existence. This concert was BADASS.
excelente cancion, excelente grupo, excelente disco, si alguien quiere el disco pidamelo y se lo paso es uno de esos discos inconseguibles pero si lo quieren pidanmelo
I got a divorce when this song was popular... divorced my wife who was almost 30...got with an 18yo... 12 years later... still together.... so guys, pick a younger girl than you, and you will live HAPPILY EVER AFTER... MoonJuneSpoon!!!!
I was so excited to find this video! When I was in 6th grade or so they were always on 94.9 zeta, and I was obsessed with it. Nobody I know seems to remember it though! So sad
It's funny, I popped this cd in the car earlier today and most of the songs would be pretty popular today. I think these guys were ahead of thier time.
Always loved this song ever since I first heard it back in the day.
I heard this song on a "Vans Warped Tour '96" CD when I bought some Vans shoes. Awesome CD: 1. Goldfinger - Anxiety 5. Dance Hall Crashers - Queen For A Day 6. Genius - Shadowboxin 8. Sublime - Paddle Out/Wrong Way 10. Loud Lucy - Down Baby 11. Lifter - Headshot 12. Kicking Harold - Kill You 15. Spot - Moon June Spoon 16. Hog - Get A Job 17. Reel Big Fish - Snoop Dog, Baby 19. Possum Dixon - Crashing Your Planet 20. Mr. Mirainga - Jalopeno Eyes 21. Make Out City (Where It's At Remix) - Beck
That was at Markham Park right? I remember I had five transmissions to change out that day before I could duck out of work to get out there and see the show. I was so damn tired, I never made it. I live on the west coast now, but I remember when Zeta was a rock station, now it's some kind of No Habla Ingles station. A lot of things were better then!
yes, that was the concert at Markham Park. and yes, Zeta is no longer. after 20 -30 years of being a rock station, it is now spanish. The rock station we have now is 93.1 and is is similar to Zeta with the same 25 classic rock boring songs being played. These "rock stations" today need to play more of a variety. and yes, i agree ALOT of things were better back then. it is good to know so many people remember this band and this song.
To answer about what happened to spot interscope entered into negotiations with Ardent to acquire Spot. Unfortunately, the deal ended up in litigation within a year, and Spot was forced to quietly ride out the remainder of a 5-year contract without support to tour or release additional material. Basically they got label fucked, as so many other great bands have been.
MEMORIES! I am glad you posted this. Reggie, Davis and Chad were some cool, down-to-earth guys that I loved to watch perform! I went to every show that I possibly could. I miss the days of good tunes.
NICE!!!
