@TheGuitarLord mice are actually bad for a spider. the high levels of calcium in the mice can kill the tarantula. only large tarantulas can eat them, but only very sparingly.

@SamuelRadioactive All depends how often you feed your T :) once every two weeks and itll eat like this, unless its a slow growing T like a Brachypelma or Grammastola, they are known for going on long fasts

I just got a Rose Hair about 2 days ago and it's super calm. I mean it didnt even seem stressed when it enters a new habitat like other pets. It ate like 2 crickets drank from its dish and explored it's habitat right away. Im planning on getting a Mexican Red knee, does any one know how much they are? Btw awesome tarantulas, they look really healthy and calm.

All of these should be fairly dodcile. Yes, all known tarantulas have venom but in most cases its not very potent and is just realy unplesant/painfully, nothing more.

@HatesStupidPeople194 Brachepelmas (Mexican Redknees, Fire legs, curly hairs ect.), Grammastolas (rose hairs, chaco golden knees Brazillian Black, ect.), Avicularia (pink toes) genus' are good. All are docile and all have a few affordable species, I'd avoid a rose hair though dispite their commonness , they are almost always wild caught and can be somewhat unpredictable. Avics are very pretty and very nice.

I have Three adult females of the following: G. Rosea, G. Pulchripes, and a H. Maculata.

And unsexed babies of following: L. Parahybana, N. Chromatus, L. violaceopes, P. Regalis, G. Pulchra, A. Versicolor, H. Albostriatum, and a C. Fasciatum. My babies range from two inches to just a quarter of an inch.

How can you tell if a tarantula is male or female? The males have bigger Pedipalps right? I have a Grammostola rosea, I'm quite sure she's female, but I want to make sure.

Do you keep them all at the same temperature? And is it room temperature?
