Who is the goofy-looking jackass in this video anyway? As if we don't have enough distasteful right-wing talk radio hosts of our own, that we have to import more of them from England?
Chrissy sure didn't have a tingle up his leg for Simon. In facty, Chrissy looked like there was a terrible smell in his studio during the whole interview! Well done Simon!
Hes not a jackass...actually I listen to him a fair amount on the radio because he subs for the regular host here in Orlando. He is a strong Conservative and in my opinion he is right on. Chris Matthews clearly has a liberal agenda. He just does not admit it. Its ok that he is a liberal but he just does not admit it. He certainly is biased but is not normally called on it. I think this interview was awesome.
@wensnider Sure, Matthews is left of center. That's not the point - if you'd watch his show, it's 90 percent election strategy. Sharpton is a cheerleader for Obama. Maddow is obsessed with uncovering Republican dirty tricks (a sisyphus task), Ed Schulz is a liberal populist. Matthews on the other hand is a political junkie, and that's what his show is about.
@MrMatthiasSchneider Did you not notice that Matthews DID NOT deny that "he was working for the reelection of Obama". Matthews rarely has a consevative on his show. I turn on MSNBC every morning to see what they are talking about. It's a bunch of liberals praising Obama. The whole network is working for the reelection of Obama. MSNBC, and all their liberal host, have been pushing for Romney to run against Obama for months. MSNBC 90% of the time only have liberals discussing issues.
@justlikepriest Matthews has several conservatives on his show every week. You apparently don't watch his show, because every week he has Todd Harris, Michael Steele, John Feehery. He had Tea Party asshole Joe Walsh on - he has on any conservative who'll come on. You don't know what you're talking about, and that's why your claim that Matthews is trying to reelect Obama is bullshit. Sharpton, Ed Schulz, Maddow? Sure. Matthews, no.
Chris told the folks at Morning Joe that he felt it was "his job to make this (Obama) presidency a success". They challenged him, and he didn't relent. Once upon a time, Matthews had a fairly balanced show. But long before Obama announced his candidacy, Chris moved hard left, and has been kicking Republicans ever since. Those conservatives you mention get very little time per week. Most of his segments have two liberal guests beating up on conservatives.
@klrdotorg Imagine wanting the sitting President to be successful! Who wouldn't want that? Aren't you actively rooting against America if you don't want the President to be successful?
Thanks for your simple-minded argument ... it's cute. The idea of a journalist / political commentator actively rooting for a particular president does concern some people who have critical thinking skills. If a particular president was implementing policy that you believe to be bad for the country, would you be "rooting" for his success? Maybe that's a tough concept for you to wrap your mind around.
Perhaps you should go back to calling this guy "goofy looking".
@klrdotorg That is pretty freakin funny. You guys on the right have an entire network dedicated to distorting the facts and getting Republicans elected. They drummed up sentiment for the disastrous Iraq War and the disastrous Bush tax cuts that the budget still hasn't recovered from. So does it bother me that Matthews wants Obama to be successful? Absolutely not. Fact remains though that if you watch his show, he doesn't cheerlead for Obama, unlike e.g. Sharpton.
"You guys on the right have an entire network dedicated to distorting the facts and getting Republicans elected."
As opposed to MSNBC? Your posts are too dumb for words. Go back to the cheap insults of this former Brit ... maybe you could convince your local congressman to sponsor a law that would prevent foreigners from becomming U S citizens ... if their true aim is to become conservative talk show hosts. Thanks for the entertainment.

@klrdotorg LOL.. what the hell are you babbling about? I have no problem with immigration. It pisses me off however when ugly jackasses like this Simon Conway idiot come over and spread lies and propoganda designed to fool poorly educated voters. Am I to presume that like your dim-witted friend ACS6943, you too continually vote against your own economic interests to elect people who crap on you while doing the bidding of billionaires?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@klrdotorg Oh fuck off. The right has an ENTIRE radio network and FOX to carry their water for them, and they don't even try to pretend to be neutral. So, you can shove the "it's not fair" bullshit up your ass. Chris is at least respectful, the troglidite from the right, starts off with wing-nut talking points. Republicans like Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin, O'reilly? They get very little time? Join us in the real world.
@MrMatthiasSchneider I said, "rarely'. Which means once in a while, which is not often. So, Matthews has someone right of center on his show once in a blue moon and you don't think he is an Obama cheerleader? When he does have a conservative on he interviews them much differant than a liberal guest. Remember the night of the election when Matthews said,"I have a tingle up my leg"? Just by that remark we all know what side of the aisle Matthews is on.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@justlikepriest You're wrong - demonstrably wrong. He has conservatives on all the time. You clearly don't watch his show. He has a regular stable of conservatives that he brings on together with a liberal, and they debate - every single show. And probably once or twice a week he has a GOP guest on. I mean, it would be one thing if you watched the show and knew what you were talking about, but obviously you don't.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@justlikepriest hahahahaha Yeah, I can see how he doesn't have conservatives on, WHILE watching him have one on. The ironic thing, is you don't seem to have a problem with Right-wing assholes working for electing right-wing people. WIERD. You do realize that you're a hypocrite, right?
@Rushtrdamus #1. I said, "rarely'. Which means once in a while, which is not often. I DID NOT say Matthews "doesn't have conservatives on". We all know FOX is working NOT to elect Obama but, we all know Matthews and MSNBC IS working for the reelection of Obama. Why won't Matthews just admit it? #2. Why can't you liberals have a discussion with someone without using obscenities? Name calling and using obscenities is like crack to you liberals, you can't controll yourselves.
@steelhuevos hahahaha This douchebag couldn't handle Chris if Matthews were in a coma. I call this wanker's show all the time and he couldn't handle a debate with me, let alone Chris.
@acs6943 Great argument. You can always tell a half-witted right-winger when they bring out the devastating knockout punch of "libtard." You would be funny to point and laugh at if you didn't continually vote against your own economic interests and thus repeatedly give us asshole politicians like Mitch McConnell, who would rather give tax cuts to billionaires than to you.
