In the push press you dip down as if you were going to jump into the air and push with your legs and then when your legs are fully extended you press with your arms. In military press (aka Press) you keep your knees locked.
I've always thought the two are the same press. Although the web states that the push press is the military press with a little bit of help from the legs going down and then exploding upward to help get the weight up.
@mine1username A lot of guys start the set as military press but use the legs to get out the last coupel of reps, it's an effective way to max out the muscle.
