Separation of Church and State has long been misunderstood.
First of all, the First Amendment ONLY says what the Federal Government CANNOT do. It does not outlaw State Religions, which continued to exist for years.
Second, it does not outlaw religious significance in all government transactions.
Thirdly it does not in any way prevent religion from seeking to impose its ideas upon government.
These are three things most people who recite "separation of Church and state" do not know.
However...I still think that it's wrong for people to hide behind the bible when it comes to these things...from what I remember the bible spoke of love...not love for everyone except those select few that make us uncomfortable...

There were a few founding fathers who would have disagreed with them. But most would have agreed and we still see remnants of that like Bibles in courtrooms.

Behavior that can be interpreted as homosexual may exist... but it is not the primary process of sexual intercourse for these animals.
It might be said that they are bisexual.
