Terrence Howard got greedy, he lucked out "big" in the 1st film due to a contract screw up and when they offered him what he was suppose to make for the sequel, he said no. I like Don Cheadle, but I don't think he has the look for Rhodey, I think Howard looked the part better. Same with Will Smith, I don't think he looks right for War Machine. I think the best actor to play War Machine would have been the guy who played Spawn! Can't remember his name though...

Its only my opinion, but I can't see Smith in the role. He's too slim, too tall I think. Besides, Downy just got back into acting in a big way. If Smith was in the role, he would have probably gotten top billing or a the very least equal billing. The movie is called Iron Man, not War Machine. War Machine better not be a focus in the movie, he should just pop up at the end. The climax of the film is gonna be Iron Man vs. Whiplash.

Well, I still can't agree with you and your Robin argument made it worse. Robin was introduced into the Batman films to try to bring in audiences. Heck, the character was introduced into the comics to humanize the Batman. Heros have to be above the norm. In reality, Rhodey was introduced to support Stark when his human faults overcame him. When he wore the armor he was still Iron Man. War Machine came later and he could never shoulder his own comic. I think the same should be said in the movie

I never meant to come off as an argument or as me being angry. Just like you, I'm just giving my opinion. I think I may have gotten a bit short because of the Robin thing, I don't like Batman at all. My opinion is, he's not a hero. No one wants to acknowledge that he is little more then a vigilante. Robin, who wore bright colors, was nothing but a distraction for batman's villain. War Machine was a potential equal to Iron Man, but wasn't a spotlight for the comic. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Actually in all of his interviews he's said that it wasn't about money- they cancelled him without him doing anything. They wanted Cheadle because he's a more recognized and awarded actor. He said he's sad about it but still wishes them well on the movie- it wasn't his choice and it wasn't a matter of him wanting more money.
