  • blackpower!

  • he thought about it...

    LOL

  • Does anyone know where I can find this film?

  • @yserrant amazon.com

  • FUCK YES!

  • this is so sweet. i love that little boy.

  • brainwashing at its finest.

  • Please tell me you are white, and therefore don't understand the significance of this message? It's not about brainwashing. It is about reeducating ourselves. We have been taught so many negative things about ourselves, since slavery, through the media and corrupt social institutions. We need to drill home the message of change, so that our children don't revel in self hatred.

  • sigh...Re-educate ourselves? Please tell me you arent already indoctrinated

into thinking youre an 'african american' . If so, i think you should

seek help because for starters, claiming two nations is absurdity and

secondly its not true according to history... We are neither negro or

    african american.

  • So, which term would you prefer? American, hum...

  • @onealterego No. It's RESISTANCE TEACHING at it's finest. lol

  • the true nationality of this boy is black American not Afro-American whith this kind why you dont call white American Euro-american?????

  • The actual term is African-American. Afro-American was a term that was used in the 60s and 70s.

  • NO!!! I'm black and beautiful!

  • I heard that phrase on a song by Public Enemy called "So Whatcha Gone Do Now?"

  • That was the term in the 70s, from being just Negro, to Black, to Afro American, to Black, to African American

  • African American is an oxymoron. I teach my children: You are a human being first and foremost, and there are certain inalienable rights given to you, GOD-given and not Gov't issued. Your nationality is about as relevant as your eye color. People shouldn't be labeled simply so the system can derive where they belong and to what heights they can soar. BE HUMAN(E)!

  • Color blind-ness isn't the answer either. Because that ignores the deep embedded inequalities in the system that perpetuate prejudice and more inequalities.

You have to recognize the differences, and acknowledge that simply saying race doesn't exist - doesn't make everyones education and everyones environment equal. It actually makes it easier to say that 'those people are poor for xyz' and then to correlate that to some made up reason - ignoring the real reasons like institutional prejudices

  • @dln3472

But at the same time, it's super annoying when you ask someone what their nationality is, and they say American. It's like yeah, we get it, we're ALL Americans here, but if you look like you're from the Middle East, or Asia, where there are a dozen different possible nationalities, that doesn't help, and saying "American" just shows that you're super sensitive and afraid of being stereotyped.

  • *Tears* I say that I'm black. I used to say African American but I guess I've been so used to people asking me if I'm mixed that I just say Black. It's correct to me!

  • This is scary, it's just me or does it look a slight indoctrination?

  • i hate the term african american, it trys to say that you are belonging to both and you dont. If you are african then say youre african, if youre american than say that. Be proud to be an american and leave it to that.

I am NOT a European American, i am an american and im proud of it

  • i sent them 2 but i have not heard anything back yet

  • i want to see the entire video where can i find the entire video?

  • You can purchase it at the PBS website!

  • Right on!!!!!

  • aww that lil boy is sooo cute " I'm black and Bruutiful" but being real, its nice ta know that black is beautiful at a young age!

  • Hmm. Yeah. This is no different than any other indoctrination brainwashing. How about just presenting the facts to kids and letting them think for themselves. Sad.

  • HIs nationality is moorish amercan. Saying Im not a negroe, I am black is like sayin Im not skinny Im thin. Negroe means black in latin.

What we are is neither of those titles, because they were both giving to slaves during the time of slavery.

We are the moors, and we are native to the america's. WE PRE-DATE COLUMBUS

  • Native to the Americas? Care to share your source of information for that? Native Americans are native to America. No one else is.

  • IT'S FROM A 1 HOUR DOCUMENTARY CALLED No Dreams Deferred BY BILL COSBY, IF ANYONE FINDS ANY MORE CLIPS FROM IT OR WHERE TO PURCHASE THE DOC. PLEASE SEND ME AN E-MAIL...

  • I SAW THIS IN SCHOOL!

  • what a cute kid. Awsome video.

  • he's sooo cute and smart!!

  • that kid is a good actor. i'd say i'm green and shit gremlens if my teacher were offering me money. good child actors.

  • Got that right.

What does this teach young black kids.

#1 They are different and the rest of the world is out to get them.

#2 It's all about money. And the tricky white man is going to buy your soul!

    Haha!

Seriously though, it's really sad. There's nothing empowering about this.

  • Brainwashing, conditioning, & programming. Yup! That's liberal "education".

  • hell yea

  • AWESOME!

  • what's the name of this movie? It looks interesting.

  • damn, if only there were schoools with teachers like this now, great clip man

  • Exactly.
