  • wow Mick was thin and athletic back then :)

  • omg 5:52 somebody except for me should do a cactus jack WCW bump real.

  • it looked like Mick was putting a baby to bed with that back breaker

  • mil mascaras cant sell for SHIT

  • Mil Mascaras looks like shit. Every move he does, his kicks, his punches, they all look weak. And he has the nerve to no-sell Foley? Gimme a break. How this clown ever became a "Legend" is beyond me.

  • I wanna be Cactus Jack Manson.

  • Mascaras and Foley may be legends, but that match was horseshit!

  • did the announcer say Captain Jack Manson?

  • damn that cactus is one fiiiine lookin cat! oowwww!

  • Mascras was 65 years old.

  • Mil Mascaras put on a good WRESTLING match. Mick Foley was trying to put on a show cause he really cant wrestle. People who are saying that Mascaras wasnt selling the moves have to realize that Mick Foley gave no moves to sell. Mascaras is a good technician, Foley is just a performer and stunt man

  • @vampiroatomico lol how DOES it feel to have Ric Flair's balls in your mouth?

  • @Princepurple1 I think he likes it more on Space Mountain, WOOOOO!!!!

  • I was at Wrestle Reunion in January, Superstar Billy Graham and Mil Mascaras were both signing autographs for fans and taking pictures together with fans. They were having fun with the fans

  • lol @ all these marks saying mascaras was unproffesional for not selling just because he didnt sell to jericho and foley, of course, american wrestlers cant look good without the other guy puting them over, mascaras was a real wrestler, he was there to wrestle, not to put a circus act, he was able to look good by himself unlike the other guys...

  • Mil Mascaras is a scumbag. I don't care if he is considered a legend that does't change what kind of person he is.

  • mick foley lost his front teeth in a car accident two weeks before this, that was spit

  • THis was the same night Cactus destroyed that band on the stage.

  • Mascaras is an unprofessional assclown

  • The teeth were knocked out in a car acccident.

  • LIKE IT OR NO!!! MIL MASCARAS IS A LIVING LEYEN IN OUR SPORT.... WRESTLING....

PEOPLE THAT LOVE WRESTLING RESPECT MR MIL MASCARAS!!!!

  • mic sure looks good thin

  • Mil Mascaras is spanish for "I sell for no one" lol

  • @satyran hahaah yeah

  • @satyran Just like his nephew, Juan Cena

  • @satyran no because here in mexico wrestlers really fight we dont talk for 2 hours

  • Did cactus spit out 2 teeth holy fuck.

  • God... Mils sucked a dick...

  • HA!! I remember when he first started he went by Cactus Jack MANSON!! It's funnier now that Marylin Manson has came out since, now when u hear Manson you think more of Marylin then Chuck

  • te pusiste con una leyenda pendejo

  • butt hurts americans 'cuz amercan wrestlers cant do a shit in the past or now.

True legends only in Mexico and Japan!

  • I always figured Foley's inspiration behind the Cactus Jack character was Charles Manson.

  • Wow Mil Mascaras was 48 years old here and still moved quick as lightning.

  • Thumbs up if Foley's book sent you here

  • Wow, Mick looked thin back then.

  • Lol at 0:18 "CAPTAIN JACK MANSON"

  • I've always admired Mascaras but its not just Foley who has said that. Chris Jericho and "Superstar" Billy Graham, amongst many others, have made the same complaint.

  • Rick Steiner stayed up all night studying for a urine test, awesome,Jim Cornette is the man!!!

  • Mil Mascaras was a shitty wrestler and he only looked good cause the other wrestlers carried his ass

  • I read about Mascaras completely failed to sell anything Foley did in this match, I figured it was an exaggeration. No. Mascaras really screwed up... badly... around 5:38.

  • @astrosteve read it, too in foleys bio... unbelievable, that no-selling jerk nearly crippled foley. Was there ever a match mascaras vs hogan? *g*

  • hahah let go bitch ! 4:53 hahaha Mil was Bad ! hahahah VIVA MEXICO CABRONES !

  • Mick Foley choose extreme style because he cannot wrestle, is not that mascaras didn't sell, is just that Foley doesn't know how to wrestle, the U.S. has a lot of wrestlers that can face Mascaras with good matches like Sting, Vader, Flair, but Foley? I mean C'mon...

  • @nitromorphosis No... I watched a Mil Mascaras vs Pierroth Jr where Pierroth called out Mil on the mic for being late and not nice to the other wrestlers.

  • Hard to believe Mil is Alberto Del Rio's real-life uncle.

  • ya vi por que foley no quizo luchar con rick flair

  • Nice. Nestea Plunge

  • Mick said he had to job to Mascaras and didnt want to. He wanted to kick out at least once to look at least kinda good.

  • @fixxxer3456 Mick didn't even want to wrestle him period. He told cornette mil sucked and the match would suck ,so cornette told him he would do what he could to put him over on commentary and make him look good.

  • To quote Cornette, this match sucked a d*ck.

  • Eso si es estilo para caminar en el ring!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • its LIKE watching a match between a jiu jitsu expert (mil mascaras) vs a street brawler (catcus jack)

  • all you mil mascaras haters can kiss my ass you people dont know shit about real wrestling

  • @c4macho q es lo dices tu puta barata aprende a rrespetar a los luchadores chingones pendejo de mierda

  • Crabman has read Mick's book then...

  • Y2JROCKFAN

    ANTONIO INOKI IS MIL MASCARAS

  • @CHRIZT28 nice try mate lol

  • Mil sold that backbreaker like a chump, he looked like he was afraid to take it

  • How old is Mil?

  • @bookert01 240

  • Comment removed

  • My god what a bump!!!!

  • 3:44 see how bad the fat kid in the blue shits himself when foley points at him

  • JR and Jim Cornette. wow.

  • Mil didn't do much selling on America because he is a LUCHADOR NOT A WRESTLER, i mean, why wrestling fans believe all in what Foley said on his biography book?, is only his opinion as a victim of Mil Mascaras quality like a lot of other wrestlers and only because their're american like all of you, you think their right... and yeah i know, Mick is a great hardcore fighter, but actually not a technique wrestler just as japanese or mexican people, but all of you... already know that ;)

  • @Kraodo Then Why did mick do so well in japan? and I am not talking about the deathmatch tournament. He worked there for years before that in companies where wrestling came first. He actually turned the iwa/fmw down because he wasn't interested in the barbed wire and stuff like that,(it was called garbage wrestling by Giant baba,Antonio Inoki and the other japanese promoters) and he only went and did it because of terry funk.

He is best known for hardcore but he didn't always do it.

  • @Kraodo Rubbish. Chris Jericho siad he was an egotist as well. I have seen Luchadors sell moves in America before. Mil Mascaras was happy to achive fame and then do nothing else for the rest of his Career. I am not American either an I still think Mascaras was over rated and went around happily sandbagging other guys, because he thought he was better.

  • When Mascaras wrestled here in North America, he worked all his matches like they were his Mexican "super hero" movies - the "good guy" always wins and registers no pain when you beat on him. I had a ringside seat at Springfield Civic Center (MA) in 1979 when Mil wrestled George "The Animal" Steele. Mil sold NONE of Steele's moves, and dropkicked "The Animal" out of the ring. Steele WALKED back to the dressing room and as he passed me, I thought I heard him say "the hell with this shit"!

  • What I saw ? A wrestling class

  • I remember Foley talking about Mil (and this match) in his first book and he was right - that backbreaker was pathetic. Also, that plunge was awesome.

  • that's why mil maskaras did it he knew that would happen

  • Jim Cornette at 4:41, LOL.

  • Foley can't wrestle, why should an already iconic personality put over an untalented slob? I'll give it to him, he's taken some sick bumps. But what skill does that take? Seriously. If you want to talk about a "Hardcore Hero", think Mike Awesome.

  • @ManiacFresh

Being a good wrestler doesn't make someone great. Look at Austin and Hogan. All the did was punch and hit some weak moves (exception of the Stunner). But they are still two of the greatest ever.

  • @Corvus887 As far as Austin goes, watch some of his old WCW matches (as "Stunning" Steve Austin). Not a great hold-for-hold wrestler, but not weak either. The Stunner, however, was nothing more than DDP's "Diamond Cutter" (much like Randy Orton's "RKO"). What people put down about Mascaras is that he was incapable of "selling" for his opponent; it was all about Mascaras. He wrestled his matches like he was making one of his Mexican "super hero" movies - he always wins and registers no pain.

  • @elc1960

I actually think he adopted the stunner from Mikey Whipwreck (not sure, but i think he did it first in ECW), but I always thought it was a great move. Even if it wasn't, he sure as hell got it over.

But that's kinda the point I was making. Being great doesn't really mean that u were good in the ring. Just means that u could sell tickets.

  • @Corvus887 True, very true. There seems to be a severe "charisma deficiency" in WWE and TNA today, though. And, oh yeah, a little concept called "ring psychology" as well. Kinda makes it easier to sell those tickets, y'know what I mean? And good storylines. They mean more than a group of heels indiscriminately running in and beating guys up for no reason (Nexus, Fortune). People are upset with the two main promotions doing little more than copying each other every week.

  • @Corvus887 (continued from other post) We do agree on the ability to sell tickets or not sell them being what ultimately makes these guys great or not great. There are other factors beside those, amd WWE and TNA are left kinda wanting in those areas. Flair, AJ, Hogan, Orton, Cena, Undertaker - they have it. Kane, Kofi, Robert Roode, Punk, Matt Morgan . . . not so much. Morgan was with WWE (developmental deal) for years, but he just never clicked. Still hasn't quite clicked with TNA.

  • @elc1960

Yeah, I think that Fortune and Nexus are attempts to recreate the nWo and 4 Horsemen. Only difference is, nWo and Horsemen had established big name stars. No one gives a damn about guys like Barret and Kaz, even if they are talented. And ring psychology is DESPERATELY scarce in today's scene. Even tho Foley is my all time favorite wrestler, Flair was right when he said that Foley drew a lot of money, but had little technical ability. Psychology and charisma beat out talent any day.

  • @elc1960

And for some reason, I just never got with Morgan. Dont know what it is, but I nvr really cared for him.

  • @Corvus887 Amen on both counts! I've been a pro wrestling fan since 1969 and this era has a lot of . . . blah. The old school was slower and more deliberate, but the matches were better. Psychology, charisma and decent storylines were the reasons why. Gonna have to check out your YouTube channel. Maybe there's a whole lot more that we agree on. Cheers!

  • @elc1960 It was Johnny Ace's (john laurintis SP?) ace cutter in japan, DDP copied it and so on

  • Gotta love a squash match when the person getting squashed comes out looking better than the winner.

  • Damn You Mascaras at.540 you prick!

  • Mil Mascaras alot of wrestlers said was a First Class Ass

  • mascaras is a selfish piece of garbage

  • @easye46 Mil mascaras a selfish piece of garbage?.. definitely your not a true fan of wrestling, your just another retard who like stupid actions figures like Cena, come on!!... you don´t deserve to see this kind of wrestlers with quality. Now go back to your tv and watch the shit drama of WWE or TNA.

  • 5:40 - The beginning of the biggest prick move I have ever seen in my entire life. Mil Mascaras is a punk-ass bitch and he should have his balls cut off for that shit.

  • no respect for mil mascaras....

  • que mascaras tan chingonas

  • God, Mascaras is a sorry piece of shit. He didn't give Foley ANYTHING. What a prick.

  • @Suriel1981 Mil Mascaras was a asshole during the whole match! He did not sell period!

  • Capetta sucks. It's not Captain Jack, fool.

    Texas sucks. Obviously.

Mil Mascaras sucks. Backbreakers are built to kill.

  • Wow, mil mascaras win, is normal

  • Only. mil mascaras.

    The best

  • at least the commentator (along with Ross, who is Sullivan, I think) said that Cactus Jack is "the real winner here." Pro wrestling is not just about looking good all the time, at times, it's also about making your opponent look good. in that regard, Mascaras sucks and Mick Foley is great. The real winner indeed.

  • @Fj3 It was Jim Cornette not Sullivan.

  • Mick really didn't want to work this match, like DavelnOCNJ said Mil had a terrible reputation for being a pansy in the ring. it's all in his book, which was amazing.

  • Mil Mascaras deserves to have an ego...

  • The called him cactus jack manson cause he kinda looked like charles manson right?

  • alot of wrestlers say Mascaras was a prima donna. I dont think so, if you look at the wrestlers that said it. foley, graham and jericho. foley in the words of ric flair was a stuntman, graham, who had great mic skills and had great body. but, he couldnt wrestle a lick. and jericho to me will always be a B wrestler.

  • @louie1967 You believe Foley is just "a stuntman" just because Ric Flair said so? *LOL* You should try watching a few of his matches and believing what your eyes tell you, rather than blindly parroting the words of a guy who admitted (in his own book) that he was trying to get his own back for Foley's criticism of him.

  • @Suriel1981 dont get me wrong, foley killed his body and I give him credit for his effort. but as far as pure wrestling skills go, he doesnt have it.

  • @louie1967 It's good thing "pure wrestling skills" don't matter to be a succesful pro wrestler

  • @louie1967 Are you serious??? Jericho a B wrestler? wow this is news to me, Mascaras couldn't even sell that backbreaker, wtf??? r u serious, Mascaras had good offense but he would never sell that good, and he had a huge ego, bigger than most legendary wrestlers (Mitsuharu Misawa, Antonio Inoki, Kurt Angle, Bret Hart)

  • @Y2JROCKFAN yep! I am serious! Jericho is a over hyped B wrestler. you can talk all you want about mascaras ego, but aleast he treated his fans well. Jericho was known for being a prick that he even hit fans. Jericho will never be in the league of a mascaras, sammartino, flair. mascaras is a international superstar. he had a right to have a ego.

  • @louie1967 well at least jericho put the younger guys over and made them look good, he had a good arsenal of moves, was great on the mic and was not and i repeat not a prick, he did his job and the chick tried to hit her, he did not punch her more like push her over till she stacked it... Mascaras will sandbag the people he didn't like, that is not the mark of a pro, no matter how great of a wrestler u r, u never no sell to ur opponent.

  • @Y2JROCKFAN sorry i meant him "and the chick tried to hit *him"

  • It's true then, mil mascaras is a douche. He didnt sell .......how can you call yourself a wrestler when you don't do your job right. Dam dude, I had the feeling he had a huge ego....and every pro wrestler in U.S. has said that too.

  • Cactus should have kicked him in his crotch

  • durn,u can see the teeth tht he lost layin beside him, damn

  • @MrMiddletonII, In reality he lost his teeth months before in a car accident they wanted to use it for TV though.

  • Man, cactus Jack spent a lotta time getting other people over didnt he?

  • este wey es mickfoley y mick es uno de los mejores luchadores ke a tenido wwe pero ps con el senoron de mil mascaras no contaba con su astucia mil mascaras le metio una chinga...

  • Damn I remember calling 900-909-9900 when I was a kid.

  • @thadanzwiggler Do you also remember the ass whoopin by your mom when she had to pay the bill,I do LOL!!!

  • Foley's always been way to nice in the ring. When mascaras wasn't selling, Foley should have shot on him.

  • @hooknshoot45 Even though Mil did deserve it Mick has too much class and professionalism to do something like that.

  • i love mil mascaras!

  • A lot of people in mexico idolized Mil because of the movies but never realized or even wondered why he always dominates so much with so little... Well, it's simply because he won't take bumps. I just cant remember any match where mil ever took one serious bump.

  • @maesre2004 always dominates so much WITH SO LITTLE?, your a complete dumbass!!!, go and see videos of him when he wrestled on Japan and with your own eyes, you will check his true skills.

  • @Kraodo I don't need to, Mr. Kraodo. I've seen bunches of his matches in Mexico and I've seen Mil Mascaras in person. Do you know what a bump is? Can you be critical, or are you just a mark?

  • @Kraodo I don't need to watch videos. I've seen him wrestle in person and dozens of times on tv. He won't take bumps. YOU may need to read Mick Foley's book "Have a Nice Day", Chris Jericho's book, or Billy Graham's shoot interview where they confirm MIL is a genuine a-hol who won't sell or bump. Now, consider yourself pwned.

  • @maesre2004 mil only sell moves for wrestlers he considered worthy,he took bumps for bam bam bigelow, andre the giant, and even hogan,he can afford that,he's a legend

  • ahh the old nestea plunge

  • I think this is the match that Foley wrote about in his book when he criticized Mascaras for not selling.

  • cactus jack is hardcore man!

  • mil mascaras was one of the greatest

  • foley made a career out of taking bumps, the perennial punching bag.

  • He should be called Mil "The Sandbag" Mascaras. Awful. Foley had to take all the bumps in that match. Mil walks like he's light in the loafers too.

  • Mil was already a Legend When he wrestled this match, he doesnt have to beat himself up to draw a good match.

  • First, this match was in 1990, before Foley even had a steady job at WCW (that wasn't until 91), and he wasn't a legend until his stint in Japan and ECW, which didn't happen until after he left WCW in the mid-90s.

And when the jackass you're in there with isn't selling worth a damn, you can't have a good match without bumping. See Shawn Michaels v Hulk Hogan.

  • Which is why Foley hates the man like poison.

  • This match wasn't quite as bad as Foley wrote in his book, actually. Sure - Foley doesn't look particularly good. But, there were some interesting spots, in the match.

  • It must have been a walk in the park for the superior Mil Mascaras over the slow,no technique, brawler mick foley, who at best probably was no better than a sparring partner for Mil who was used to wrestling technical types like Canek, Dos Caras, among others, how can you ask Mil to sell Foley's sloppy moves, give me a break, mick should have invested in some wrestling lessons with all the money he saved on warddrobe.

  • 2- I we study the "argument" of the fight looks evident that that "Back" breaker wasnt intend to show much damage in M.M. since the next step in the figh was Mil Mascaras Quickly returning to the ring and dropkick foley even the commentarist say's it "Mascaras DON'T looks Stunned" to reinforce the argument".

I really respect te work of Foley but the way he talks about M.M. for the "Back" breaker is wrong, he lacked the experience to make correctly the move an tht was the argument of the fgt

  • Comment removed

  • Quite an abyss of difference between the wrestling styles, a brawler Foley and a more technical from Mil mascaras, who showed quite superiority ( domain of te wrestling moves and style) over a youg Foley with almost no tech.

Now for the ones saying Mil Mascaras didnt sell's the "Back Breaker"

1-That was NOT a back Breaker, looked more like some kind of Rib breaker, if foley was trying to do a Back Breaker he lacked way lot of tech.

  • ouch

  • Mil is one of the best wrestlers in Mexico now as much as I love Foley I dont know why u would put Mil against him

  • Mil Mascaras can't sell lol. fucking sick bump by foley

  • Somebody tell me what song is playing at the very beginning please?????????

  • i am in urgent need of advice...hahaha good one brother

  • 5:53 Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!

    Oh God! That was hillarious!!!

On a side note; Mil Mascaras was a Wrestler and MIck FOley wasn't. Oh, and Im talking about real wrestler not just an actor.

    ROFL!!!!!!!

  • a eso si le llamo una paliza a domicilio...

  • despues de santo mil mascaras son mis favoritos de toda mi vida

  • simon' Mil Mascaras es el leyenda!

this is old, he didn't use the Manson name for long... definitely a rare find!

  • Ken Patera thought Mascaras was a cry baby, too.

  • Mascaras may be a legitimate legend in his home country, but I'll be damned if I know why...

  • Can somebody, please for the love of god tell me why Mick Foley called himself Cactus Jack Manson at this time?

  • He didn't choose to add 'Manson' to his name, the company did. Actually, I think some other territory did and he had been picked up with it.

  • Ok right thanks a lot. I thought it had somat to do with Charles Manson, coz around that time he had an interview with someone on tv.

  • Yeah, Foley was never comfortable with the association. When he came into the WWF (at the time, WWF, anyway), they originally wanted to call him "Mason 'The Mutilator'" as a take on his old 'CJ Manson' moniker. Luckily for him that didn't happen.

  • they wanted to call him The Butcher Mankind or Mankind the Butcher

  • Actually, it was Mankind the Mutilator lol

  • Who created the "Mankind" character? I heard it was Vince Russo. I might be wrong though.

  • Partly Vince and Foley himself.

  • Foley did.

The concept was Vince's, but Foley did all the specs that made it so special.

  • World Class's fault.

  • Part of me is surprised Mil didn't wear his IWA championship belt to the ring. ;)

  • Alot of wrestlers from Mil's day don't speak well of him. They say he was an acrobat first & a wrestler second. They say he was more concerned with keeping himself over & holding others down. They say he insisted on calling the match himself, because he only knew how to do so much.

He was one of a handful I idolized in the late 70's, but looking back, everything they've said seems to be true when I watch his matches on here.

  • @DaveInOCNJ i know chris jericho didn't speak to highly of him in his book

  • @DaveInOCNJ Well said, mick said this was one of the worst and most disapointing matches of his career. He told thin ahead of time the match was going to suck ( and that mil sucked) and he was going to have to do something special to get the fans into it and hope they didn't notice

  • no dio pelea ese cactus..... mis respetos a Mr. Personalidad..... una leyenda viviente...

  • pinche foley parecia un perro parado jajaja

a webo gano el maestrisimo internacional mil mascaras
