CL1 Euro R (98-02) came with a H22A (2.2l NA 220PS) and the Sir-T had a 2.0 F20B (200ps). The UK CH1 Type R was the same chassis and came with a H22A7. The CL7 is a 220PS K20A.

lads the accord euro r is a 6speed 2ltr k20 ivtec dohc 220bhp standard model cl7 full recaro interior i own one ireland has been importing them from japan for the past 4 or 5 years

u are right but the old euro are 2.0 dohc they call it the f20a i might be wrong but i do knwo that the f20a is the 98-01 euro-r engine and usally f series are sohc but not this one

the old accord euro r was a 2.2 dohc vtec model cl1 with a h22 engine

@6GABOY the engine that comes up when you type euro-r on ebay is the f20b and it is not from any euro-R it is from the accord si-r and it comes in two variants the one with the manual transmission is 200hp and the one with the autobox is 180hp tuned for better midrange torque. the cl1 euro-R did come with a h22a making 220hp and the new one cl7 comes with a k20a making 220hp also.

@6GABOY oh yeah and the f20b is dohc and is really a destroked h22a which if I remember correctly was made that way so that honda could enter some 2l restricted races? I think it has nothing in common with other f-series engines.

Just a comment to clear up misinformation:

Acura TSX is the K24A2 engine, which is the same as the European Honda Accord 2.4 models.

The Euro R is, and has only ever been, a K20A engine, and was never officially exported out of Japan, although Honda Australia may have brought some in either on request or to see how the market reacted.

The TSX puts out about 10 bhp more than the Accord, probably to differentiate it from the US Honda Accord - the same way Lexus is from its parent company, Toyota.

the k24a2 in the tsx/euro accord is essentially a k24 with a k20a head.

it is kinda the b20vtec of today, so it doesn´t suck.

well wen i wus gonna do a k24 swap to my tegra wen i had em i was just gonna drop the k24 but people told me just to stick to the k24 botom with the k20 top so idk

then people are referring to the k24engine that came out of the cr-v for example, that is a econo vtec engine like the one found in the 01-06SI civic. in that engine you would have to swap the head. but the k24a2 engine in the TSX/Euro accord is allready equipped with the

"high cam" vtec like the k20a2 in the rsx-S, so no head swapping is needed.

the honda k20 engine is a better engine then da k24. it's better tuned. i wish i had k20 in ma euro... australia version sucks...getting a evo soon... :))
