I think Darren ought to be in any number he wants, seeing as how he's still a Starkid just like the rest of them. He isn't outshining them, it's like his triumphant return to where he belongs! Didn't you hear all the screaming as each of them turned around? Darren's was louder and longer because he's on freakin' TV and has a bunch of 16-year-old girls worshipping him (can't really blame them, though). We <3 ALL of them equally! :D

of corse i love Darren and he is and always will be a Starkid, but i wish he would have let the rest of them shine with out him in this fantastic opening number.

@MichieTorres actually i think he did, that's why he only poped in the end. And besodes, this show, in especific, was all about the reunion of the starkids. I loved how the all opened the show together. They are a family and we love every single one of them but when they are all together.. magic happens.
