How good is this in the deep stuff? I am thinking of getting a similiar one. but different. Is it good? Has there been any problems with it? Just a little curious cause I have had some bad problems with sleds a couple times.
@ZooHabitat Horrible! I'm set up to race on glare ice. Normally the track is almost bare. I had to change the oil tank/air box because it leaked. Had a few wires short out by the engine. At 6000 miles had to change brake pads. 9000 miles I broke the stabilizer bar. Put just over 10,000 miles on without touching the engine except for cleaning exhaust valves every 400 miles. Then I had a coolant hose ware a hole and overheated. Ruined a main bearing. Found a donor engine on ebay. On its 3rd track.
@ZooHabitat It would be horrible in deep snow because I've set it up for ice racing. I lowered it and cut down the lugs. As far as the problems I listed these types of problems are very typical through the life of a sled with over 10,000 miles. Snowmobiles are very high maintenance machines. I've had this sled since it had 3000 miles and know the history before that. Keep in mind I'm not the easiest on equipment. I've listed just about every issue I've had before I raced this sled.

@jerryk1984 Ok. Thanks. Now I am aware of what to not get.
