Thrice? At The Drive In from Dallas? and most the bands in that style or genre do not posess advanced skills on musical instruments on the level of Death and/or most extreme metal styles. ATDI play by a whole other set of rules and philosophy that makes any debate on comparing ATDI to Death irrational, deeming you as incompatent to speak on the topic. What you like are bands that offer up a totally different feel and attitude that people grow away from eventually. Doesn't hit people deep 2 stick

that's complete BS. his voice was getting progressively higher throughout his career. I first really noticed on Symbolic, but by the time TSOP came out it was really noticeable. I like both styles equally. Also your "theory" is moot because TSOP came out in 98 and he wasn't diagnosed until 99. I remember exactly because I wrote tons of letters of support when it was announced. So stop spreading stupid rumors.
