I've been on the top 5 on all of the leaderboards, and I can honestly say that you've got a lot to do if you want to actually become good.

...and then some more if you actualy wanted to be half as good on the original game. The fighting in this is a piece of cake compared to the difficulty of the sword fights in the original. The end game fight with the grand vizier on the proper classic immense, I'm talking ridiculously long exchanges of parry/riposte without landing a blow just to stay alive.

Nice run-through, though not the absolute best possible.

I never thought of using the roll to increase my speed.

Tip: In the one guard on the second level where you have to jump onto that platform to fight him, I always jump sooner, so as to land farther away from him.

Also, it looked to me like you didn't have any health after the last fight on the fourth level, did part of the screen get cut off?

That brings to mind a question I had never thought of before. I was going to say that you don't need to get that last health potion because the mirror always reduces your health to one.

But if you only have one health, does it kill you?

Good solid video. However, I'm watching it right now, and you could have taken a faster route in Level 2. First, the Life Potion there, you could jump over the spikes rather than sneaking by them. Second of all, the last guard can be totally avoided. In the long shaft at the very end, taking the left path, then breaking the block overhead in that "dead" end, followed by jumping to your left and running up that wall will lead you right to the platform that opens the door.

rolling and jumping at every opportunity you can, sometimes rolling into a jump and then rolling out of said jump back into another jump.

also, coming off of platforms and then holding back towards the platform and holding B to swing down and off of the ledge is really useful (as in the panel that comes after the initial drop down, and then two screens left). its one of those things that would be so much easier to just record and show, but i just dont have the software.

@dpunkX personally i would have gone for the life pot. but if you insist on the whole speed thing. i did notice you hesitate on that ledge. im going to assume ur using the thumbstick to drop. try pressing B, if timed correctly, ul drop immediately wheras if you use the thumbstick, thers a second of hesitation.

You need to learn to avoid combat man, that'll shave your times down considerably. Just walk right up to the enemy and hit block + forward, you'll swap positions with them then you can run away.

pretty good, but what about holding forward on some of those ledges you're climbing up? you would probably pick up a few seconds with that alone.
