PAW....the fuck is this... some lesbian man hating group of ugly bitches that can't get sex....so hate on sluts that are desirable... fucking go burn in a fire
Ads are unrealistic because most products aren't as wildly good or necessary as they claim. Would you buy makeup that made you look haggard? Would you buy a dress that didn't flatter you? Fashion has to appeal to the idea of improvement as a demonstration of value. It has to look better than the best model, because if it didn't, there would be some percentage of the population who would say, "pch, I look better than that model, even without that [makeup/perfume/decorative rags]"
all women do is whine blabla!!!! Men are Not going to respect us EVER we just need to stand up like monster did maybe there will be a woman rapist in the world soon hope hope wish wish. in the meantime we need to work on getting that nude male car wash set up hot dripping naked MEN in movies falling in the woods lol and kissing our ass swallowing too haha!
I suppose no one is perfect. Dove is doing a terrific campaign approching human rights towards women. Except I'm a women against the use of animals on beauty experiments I do agree on this campaign, but do not support it. Why? I won't buy a product that is being tested on a fellow mammal. In fact my body reacts to any product that has been tested on animals. I didn't know this until I started to use animal friendly products and all my skin allergies are gone ever since.
Now, if I am at someones house and i happen to see a small segment i actually feel physically sick alot of the time with the absolute horrendous abuse of not only women but people in general. Fear mongering.
i think it is sad that the images shown first had a good 5 seconds each to gaze at them, yet the written material on what this campaign is supposedly about flashed before the eyes. blink and you'd miss it. The information is important. Advertising companies and mainstream media are sending out messages that are extremely insidious. I know because I stopped watching and reading. Have not picked up a magazine or newspaper or switched on TV in over 5 years.
45 years of "Feminist" Domestic Violence Industry Evil Indoctrination that is now Indoctrinated into Politics, the Government, Courts, Police and General Public, Encouraging an Epidemic of False Accusations of Sexual Harassment, Domestic Violence and Rape, that:
- Women are Good, All Men are Violent and Rapists!
- Women are helpless Victims, Men are Perpetrators!
- Women need Help and Protection, Men must be Restrained, Prosecuted and Jailed!
@guv1111 Dove is owned by the same company as Lynx/Axe, and their adverts are extremely objectifying towards women- it's all "spray yourself with this poison and you will be smothered with beautiful, silent women". Plus, in the campaign for real beauty adverts, the women weren't that far out or realistic, they were "TV ugly".
And lastly, one advert saying "hey, it's okay to be you!" does not excuse the 1000 that say "without our product you are ugly and worthless".
To claim feminism when these ads are shown is going in the wrong direction. I hate 'isms'. We need to be decent human beings. ALL people struggle through life. All the images in these ads only reflect the human condition. They are EFFECTIVE because they touch upon our darkest fantasies & thoughts. Violence on women goes to ancient days. We need to address morality & the human condition. The problem is much deeper than disgusting ads.
TV ads also have male actors with features not commonly to be found on ordinary men on the street. Why is no one complaining about that? Why is no one saying: "oh my got that guy in TV has an abnormal sixpack, my children might envy him or imitate him, lets ban the ad!".
@HiiPPi3 No one ever does. No one ever bothers to think that there are also men who could do something as superficial as imitating ad guys of perfume and clothing industry. But there are. So what? The only thing i demand from feminists is a bit of coherence. If there is a policy to be made, make it also for men, else, leave the whole "have pity on us, we're victims" thing.
Here come the feminist thought police. I guess your "right" to not get your feelings hurt trumps all of our rights to free speech. Since if you're a girl and you get offended then everyone says "STOP EVERYTHING THE POOR LITTLE GIRL GOT HER FEELINGS HURT. KILL THE MOTHERFUCKER WHO SAID IT" but if you're a boy and you get offended then tough shit, you're not oppressed like women so you don't deserve to have an opinion.
@FailBlob feminists are not aiming for a world where women are on top, always believed, always put first. We just want the right to not be treated as objects, is that too much to ask? OF COURSE men deserve to be respected and listened to, no-one should come before another. Part of being a feminist is readdressing the balance and dealing with things that may negatively affect men too- like a super macho culture where men's feelings are ignored.
@RoozleRay Well I admire that YOU may treat men's problems as real, but 95% of feminists I've seen only focus on women's problems and completely ignore any problems effecting men. They think that because of this "patriarchal society" bullshit that there could never be any objectification of men in the media, which there is just about as frequently as women. Why are there so few feminist videos about how men should be treated with more respect in the media?
I agree with you totally, this should be adressed. Men are taught to toally ignore any human qualities that may be labled "femenine" when in reality we all need these qualities. They are things like compassion, understanding, empathy, and communication. It's a super macho world we live in, and it isn't healthy for men just like objectification in the media isn't healthy for women. It just has different effects.
@RoozleRay Yet you do the exact fucking opposite. You lead us on constantly, cheat on us behind our back, and some of you seriously think there's nothing wrong with that. That's where it's fucked up. Yes, you have "equality" now, but it seems you have more going for you then men, and you're taking advantage of this new found power. You have white knights and your fellow females backing you up when you do something wrong, and you assume it's fine and dandy. THAT is what's wrong.
It is true that certain scenes depicted in advertising are triggers for certain individuals who are
sexual perverts and that it also affects girls with poor self esteem. It would be interesting to see how society would be affected if advertising were to be regulated.
However I do not believe it can change much and you might rightly say that I am being cynical.
A woman must dress in a way that will not display her femininity like wearing a burka
This video is just another attempt to sell a diet plan through the guise of health. If you go to the website listed at 3:36 it is nothing but a site selling a dieting plan.
My mom told me a long time ago that I am beautiful just the way I am. That I should never ever have to change my appearance for anyone... To this day I don't care what people think about my body or figure I stay in shape for me and only me and that is how everyone should think...
Complete agree that advertising is outrageous and takes advantage of human nature, our desire to feel accepted in a social group etc. However, i feel to see how it disproportionately affects woman, and hence why this video needs to be made? Surely it's just as rough being a man who recievs the same torrent of advertising telling him to be something thats unhealthy and that most men can't be? @daystar300 Why are woman blameless, did they too not accept these standards?
@ilshockll Um, no. Where in the video did it ever advocate that? This isn't to promote arrogance. It's promoting fair treatment and representation of women in the media. Not wanting to be raped or repressed or misjudged because of your sex isn't arrogant.
@ilshockll Um, no. Where in the video did it ever advocate that? This isn't to promote arrogance. It's promoting fair treatment and representation of women in the media. Not wanting to be raped or repressed or misjudged because of your sex isn't arrogant.
@ilshockll Um, no. Where in the video did it ever advocate that? This isn't to promote arrogance. It's promoting fair treatment and representation of women in the media. Not wanting to be raped or repressed or misjudged because of your sex isn't arrogant. Your racist/sexist generalizations certainly are though.
No it's just stupid creators of these adverts, so called "designers". Geeks with no life, that's who they are. And yes, companies that pay big bucks for this crap to those geeks.
85% of homeless people are men. 99% of workplace deaths are men. 99% of dead soldiers are men. In spite of the VAWA act, 50% of domestic violence is perpetrated by women. Women commit more child abuse and murder more children than men. An estimated 30%+ of all rape allegations are false. More government money is spent on breast cancer than prostate cancer, even though the fatality rates are roughly the same. Women regularly practice hypergamy, men don't. Women are paid less due to their choices.
@blueshogun96 you are totally right! I totally agree and love this concept! Women have also been brainwashed into accepting objectification and degradation and have participated in it too, just like men. We are all in the same boat and we all need to take a stand and make better choices, and also educated each other and gently wake each other up from this trance of disempowerment and unhappiness.
Men are suffering from erectile dysfunction and lowered sex drive from all this pornnification of media, and also from watching porn. Women too, with less sex drive and orgasmic difficulties. Two REALLY good places to get awoken: BOOK: THE CENTERFOLD SYNDROME. MOVIE: MISS REPRESENTATION. These educated me sooo profoundly!
...Figures in human needs, and emotions. Unlike most government social programs which just go for basic living needs but not emotional, physical, what I call 'fun-factor needs,' because it's not just an observed fact that humans go insane without letting go and having fun more than "now-and-then," it's observed science. I'd be more impressed with this video if it mentioned how damaging it is to people as a whole, and why. BTW, I do like using the AX sprays, girls really like that on me.
The gun pointing at the woman's vagina for the MTV ad is something I've seen people of both sexes think is cool, and people of both sexes think is disgusting, of course if you say "well the people who think it's cool are missing the subtext, the point, whatever" must be applied to the people being automatically disgusted. To truly dissect the problem with advertising you must remove as much emotional outrage of intrigue as possible and look at the logic of it, which is NOT cold. True logic...
I'd like to say that the whole drug-offenses thing pisses me off simply because the drug war itself is bullshit. Informed consent simply doesn't exist with drugs because of it's prohibition. The blatant advertising against women is just as bad against men. Where you see all these attacks against women, as a mad who may be not as sexual as other horn-dogs out there, I see the pressure WE face to have sex, get laid.
Go down to your local Mall and look at all the Females dragging their female offspring behind them. How many do you see?... 4, 5 .. 6?, is she pregnant again ?. Waiting for the Son?. The precious boy?. What is she going to do with all those girls?. Wonder why no one takes you seriously?, wonder why you can't get a good job?. Every Woman does it... YOU DO THE MATH. Don't scream Woman's rights, when the BIGGEST MISOGYNISTS are in fact WOMEN. Don't DO IT... KIA KAHA.
@RionaDaidouji look at the World stats... 60 million females aborted in China... 90 million aborted in India ( Source United Nations)..... go away get an education PLEASE.
@starquant China isn't my "local Mall", which is what your original comment was about that I was replying to. Most parents that I know that have only girls are content, and though there might be some thought to "Maybe a boy would be nice some day", it's not given much more thought. But the parents that I know who have just boys will say things like "We should try for a girl!"
And then there are the ones that are perfectly satisfied with the families that they have, regardless of gender.
@RionaDaidouji I'm so glad you live in a "Utopian" society. Unfortunately most of us don't. Don't attack the messenger. Don't try and convince me that your world is perfect, when for the majority is is not. You want some "Western" Stats, here's some from the La Trobe in Melbourne ( released Jan 2011).... 80% of females are on minimum wage and of that 90% are in casual or part time employment. YOU CAN'T SPIT IN THE EYE FOR ONE SIMPLE REALITY AND THEN CLAIM A DISDAIN FOR ANOTHER. GROW UP.
@starquant Second of all, you're making a lot of assumptions about me. My world certainly isn't perfect. The career I'm studying for is very male oriented, and I'm going into it fully aware that I'll have to struggle to get equal wages, and face discrimination. I know it's hard work, and I'm willing to do it. I also know that other parts of the world aren't fortunate enough to even have such opportunities, so I know I'm lucky to live where I do. Where again was I claiming disdain for reality?
@RionaDaidouji Further: In countries where " Female infanticide/ honor killings is illegal. There is a "Glut" or Surplus Female population. Check with United Nations for stats (if you can be bothered). Where there is a glut or surplus,(as per economics), the value of the commodity decreases. A surplus of Women, turns them into a NATION of Toilet cleaners or whores. Go to England, Thailand or Australia and check it out. Honestly, if you can't face reality, don't complain about the advertising.
@RionaDaidouji In Reply to "China isn't my local Mall" comment. I said that to bring you into reality. I am amazed that you didn't see any parity in my comment. So I shall EXPLAIN... In Western Countries, we over breed females... in other countries THEY KILL THEM. Please view a documentary on you tube called " THE DYING ROOMS", about female infanticide. Now I know why Women have little or no regard for anyone else.. too caught up in their own little world. FUCK YOU PISS ME OFF .
@starquant Wow. Okay. Let's take this one step at a time. First of all, I DO know that in some countries, babies will be killed or aborted if they're female. I think it's absolutely horrible. I've heard of it even happening in extremey rural parts of my own country. Hell, I'm even including a refference to it in a story I'm writing. Your original post didn't include anything about infanticide, so I didn't mention it in my reply, but that doesn't mean I'm unaware of it. (Cont in next post)
Most of the women whining on here are really angry because they are fat, are the type to take it out on thinner women, are nasty to women that are prettier than them (fat is unhealthy), and therefore are disgusting hypocrites when they claim that they are bitching cause they want to help.
@johnjanuary7 oh WHAT A LOAD OF MISOGYNISTIC SHIT. Go look it up in a dictionary you pathetic woman hating trash. I also suspect the person who wrote this was a woman... SHAME ON YOU. If I had the time I would shove you straight back up YOUR MOTHERS CUNT.
@starquant What are you claiming? I couldn't tell from your angry and vapid response. Once again, another with no intelligence to back up what they are saying, so they resort to saying nothing but blather. Are you saying that women (probably like you, which is why I got this respose) don't try to undermine other women because they are jealous of the way they look, or the attention they get from it? Because they do. Truth hurts, no?
@johnjanuary7 at the end of the day, I'm not concerned. Women never win. In my discussions with you, I can see why. Good luck to you and have a nice life.
@littlemisslyss19 Not trying to be a pain but the "Obsession" ad is NOT a real advertisement. It was made as a mockery of advertisements like it. It can be attributed to Adbusters. There's more spoof ads on their site.
mary kate and ashley olsen shud be slaughtered, literally millions of girls copying them (becomming anorexic) not eatingg anything, then becomming ill long termmm....
@Sunnyrach I understand that they are definitely setting a poor example for other girls, which is problematic, they still shouldn't be blamed for their illness (and that's what it is, an illness), just like none of the girls who copied them should be blamed. Instead, they should get help.
It goes without saying there is a lot of ill-advised advertising out there, but you do not have to look far for adverts that portray men in an awful light, whether it be sexually, physically, or just our general abilities or lack of. Man-bashing is alive and well, and many music videos show women very much the sexual aggressors. Good for the goose? One answer is for females to boycott those products that portray them as weak/victims etc. But that won't happen, and you have to ask yourself why?
This is sickening and is one of the many reasons I decided to disable the idiot box a few years back, gender stereotyping is stupid and so are beauty standards. Stop being a sheep and create your own standards, or well continue to be exploited by people who don't give a rats ass
@Ichliebemusikundybd Beauty is part of our interpretation, not opinion, it works for us to feel attracted to what it seems (mathematically) to be the best. Stereotyping can be right or wrong depending on if you judged well or not. Men are smarter, this is true. Violence is evolution this is false.
@viviane5572 By the context of your comments I can tell you've consciously decided to affiliate yourself with distorted beauty and gender perceptions, and for that I say congrats you are a jackass. Men and women aren't a separate species we both face a multitude of challenges when looking through the framework of our semi-fucked up society and instead of trying to ONE UP the other we should work in unison to further implement a better societal structure.
@Ichliebemusikundybd Men and women work differently inside their brains, and biology didn't choose to be fair or mean, cause biology doesn't have a moral, biology is not a human. It's ok to do not accept, but be factual. Beauty is part of our evolution, distorced beauty is NOT beauty. The beauty industry doesn't bring illness to anyone. Illness comes from those who already have a predisposition for disorders.
@viviane5572 Furthermore physical attractiveness by its very NATURE is subjective, the beauty industry or corporatism if you want to paint a more in-depth picture in its very essence is designed to play on our developmental vulnerabilities by avalanching us with a series of messages that can gradually be imprinted in our subconscious mind resulting in addiction to varying levels and types. The only way to be free is to develop your intuition and learn to follow according to it, not
@Ichliebemusikundybd by what we've all from one degree to the other been programmed by social engineers to deem the best. Re-write your subconscious mind to match your souls compass, it's the only way to transcend all of this indoctrination. Fortunately I haven't watched the t.v on a regular basis for 6 years prior to disabling the idiot box, I was developing an easting disorder like a lot of girls. Took a while for me to understand the mechanics of it all, but once you do
@Ichliebemusikundybd you'll never settle for anything less. We're all beautiful in our own light we just need to learn to love ourselves unconditionally and enable our inner light to shine on all the ignorance that exists today. With all love and light, namaste
@littlemisslyss19 Beautifully done presentation. I was wondering what program did you use? Furthermore, what was the font that you used for 2:31? I would greatly appreciate your input. Nicely done. :)
What I don't understand is how the same company that owns dove owns axe, and axe's commercials and advertising mechanisms are ridiculously sexist and reduce women into sexual objects ALL THE TIME! so I kinda get pissed off seeing dove's 'campaign for real beauty' that's some hypocritical bull shit!
@lionkingisthebest Ironic how you think the Axe commercials objectify women. As a man, I see the commercials as objectifying men. The way women ravenously attack them when they wear the spray, the way EVERY single one of those guys looks like a Greek statue, the way these unbelievably handsome guys are performing athletic feats most of us could only dream of....
Perhaps you should stop seeing this from a female perspective, and realize that men have been objectified just as much in the media.
its true that girls accept the terms of these ads but do you know how much their getting paid to do them even if their against it? money has a big influence in the ways people act. . even if its disgusting =/ that goes for men and women
i swear to God ads are getting more dirty and provocative these days, even in public where kids are...
Also, I'm just wondering about the fact being a marketing/advertising double major must be ethically challenging, 'cause how can you not be affected by this? if you're in the industry this is where the money is; mostly by doing this can you get a job with good pay (doing these ads grabs people's attention and its shockingness attracts consumers), which would suck for marketing/ads graduates
And yes, acts (such as putting the child in the microwave oven) committed by women under postpartum depression and psychosis are, in fact, committed by men.
Or you could just react like children spoiled with power and thumb my comment down into censorship again. Whatever works for you. Doing so, of course, would indicate that I am either right and wrong. Let's assume wrong:
Men, not women, have millions of abortions.
Women who dislike these commercials, do not enjoy watching men suffer and die in other visual media, such as horror films.
Men, not women, pose for this pictures. Men, not women, buy / support / enable the products.
And most perpetrators of violence / murder against fetuses, infants and young children are women.
As for these pictures, do you and your fellow feminists stay away from any and all movies where men are tortured and killed for your entertainment? Or is that "different"? If so, why exactly is that?
Also, as Zagrunty points out; WOMEN enable these pictures. If you want to blame someone for these pictures, blame the whores that made them possible. Blame the WOMEN who BUY and SUPPORT the products.
@SaintsWillMarch - What exactly does abortion have to do with this video? I actually don't find anything wrong with the images myself. It's a fact of life that sex and violence sells. Combine the two and it's advertising gold. That being said, my only reason for posting is your asinine and unrelated comment about abortion. You had nothing intelligent to add so you throw that in to explain what exactly? I'm also fairly certain that no woman has ever had an unwanted pregnancy w/out a man involved.
@SaintsWillMarch How is she a feminist ? And how can one equate such dumb thoughts as "As for these pictures, do you and your fellow feminists stay away from any and all movies where men are tortured and killed for your entertainment? Or is that "different"? If so, why exactly is that?" feminism ? That is pathetic.
Why does Calvin Klein Jeans have to keep creating ads that depict sexual assault scenes? Why are we supporting them by wearing their tshirts and buying their jeans?
The supposed "Obsession" ad (the woman at the toilet) is a critical pseudo ad designed to mock the very forces you are being critical of. Find it through the Ad Busters site.
@rleer23 What? I don't think it's funny- it's portrayed as "comedy" because it's seen as just "funny" that a woman could be violent, unless she is also supposed to be attractive to the male lead. A woman's violence or anger is almost without exception portrayed as irrational and childish, while similar behavior by men is not. To address some other posters complaints: Crimes committed by females aren't taken seriously for the same reason a minor's aren't, and that is reflected by pop media.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
And most perpetrators of violence / murder against fetuses, infants and young children are women.
As for these pictures, do you and your fellow feminists stay away from any and all movies where men are tortured and killed for your entertainment? Or is that "different"? If so, why exactly is that?
Also, as Zagrunty points out; WOMEN enable these pictures. If you want to blame someone for these pictures, blame the whores that made them possible. Blame the WOMEN who BUY and SUPPORT the products.
Tell women to stop willingly selling their bodies to the media like whores and the problem will be fixed. Yes corperation come up with the idea but the problem is women in media are whores and would rather get paid than NOT get portrayed as a sex tool.
@rleer23 Where have you seen an ad like that? I've seen the balls kick, always for comedy (never "girl power"). Sexism in media is nearly exclusively a female problem. The sexist ads against men almost always tell men any "femininity" is a weakness deserving of mockery. And why should I have "more" compassion for men? I know very well that if harm comes my way, it would most likely be a man, and for the most part society will accept him- but they certainly wouldn't help me.
This is a problem for both men and women. It's causing huge relationship problems, & sexual problems/dysfunction. We are all affected by the media, women and men alike, & its time to wake up and stop participating. Its causing record rates of depression and anxiety, eating disorders (in both sexes) & more. Men, dont get defensive, we arent blaming you personally for the creation of these ads, but look closely at the little ways you have accepted and also perpetuated these ideas of beauty.
@daystar300 most things humans do are just to make themselves more appealing so they can eventually appease their sexual instincts. The accumulated patterns of society shape us into something very different from our natural selves, our instincts are always veiled under a civilized facade. This idea that its abnormal is a stupid notion professed by those who wish to change certain things and accede into there way of thinking claiming "normalcy' which in itself is fallacy
@daystar300 then stop over breeding females to get a SON... problem SOLVED. It will restore the natural balance and give Women a Bigger voice. Don't cry foul when all we are encouraged to do is to breed sons. What on earth do we do with the surplus female population?. We are creating a Nation of Sluts and Whores through our own female Misogamy. Don't cry at me, when you need a Uni degree to clean a toilet... YOU DID IT TO YOURSELF. It's staring you in the face and you can't see it.
@daystar300 "Men, dont get defensive, we arent blaming you personally for the creation of these ads, but look closely at the little ways you have accepted and also perpetuated these ideas of beauty." Well said, but it's not entirely men's fault here because women are choosing to pose and participate in these commercials, so women should also discontinue to allow themselves to be objectified in the various forms of media, no matter how good the money is.
Feminists have run out of men to blame so they are focusing on advertising.
Fact is that women commit the majority of domestic violence. They make up about 40% of drug users but only 5% of those imprisoned on possession. Women commit twice as much child abuse and murder more children than men. Advertising has nothing to do with any of this. In fact modern media facilitates it by rarely portraying women in a negative light or holding them equally accountable for their actions.
@AudiGal09 It's the other way around, the U.S. is a misandrist society.
Also, most of the "facts" are wrong. They were taken from studies that had a feminist influence to it in order to make something that isn't very prevalent seem like a huge problem.
I think this was really well done. Though, I'm sad to see you try to defend yourself by stating that you are "not a feminist". While you are free to call yourself whatever you want, I'm going to consider you a feminist and I cannot WAIT to live in a world where that is not taken as an insult.
@SeanMacCloud wtf did you just say? haha. but thank you...my lens is just fine.
For the record I'm a marketing/advertising double major. I am not a feminist & I enjoy making sandwiches for my boyfriend and his friends. However, I will not be supporting any campaigns like this in my career. But, this was a group project & we got an A. It was interesting to see the facts and then compare it to ads. All ads shown are actual ads and were not "distorted" as @babybrutus mentioned.
Yer nuts. You got some lens there for seeing how the world works.
If the first thing you say when you see a fashion (created by effete vapid males often jewish) is "wimmin are being raped", there is something wrong with your lens.
@SeanMacCloud wimmin, are you serious.......rape is what these ads do portray what else could it be. A group of men standing around a woman being held down. something is wrong with you if you dont see it.
@Mstooey66 Again, the effetes that create that garbage are not indicative of a "patriarchy" controlling or hurting females. You have small world view and don't see the big picture.
Also the ads are a fiction --they don't represent the reality at large in society.
Reality... where every attractive dame --say _50 + %_ of dames-- picks then dismisses they're Bo's as callously and coldly as they put half eaten pieces back in the box of chocolates after deciding that piece wasn't for them.
@SeanMacCloud Where on earth do you get your statistics. Please give me the source that says that women commit the majority of domestic violence and the one that women murder and abuse more children then men. Most advertising is is done by men and when women manage to get their feet in the door most of the time they adopt the "if you cant beat em join em" attitude. Women more and more are sideing with the lie that women are nothing but sex objects.
@babybrutus The Ralph Lauren ad went to print like that. It caused a journalism shockwave for being photoshopped to make her appear that thin. The sisley ad ran in adult magazines. It went to print like that as well. This was a well-put-together presentation and is incredibly thoughtful. You, on the other hand, are as your username might suggest- a brute.

The problem is much deeper than disgusting ads.
shortlittlerebel 1 month ago 6
TV ads also have male actors with features not commonly to be found on ordinary men on the street. Why is no one complaining about that? Why is no one saying: "oh my got that guy in TV has an abnormal sixpack, my children might envy him or imitate him, lets ban the ad!".
HiiPPi3 1 month ago

FailBlob 2 months ago
@FailBlob feminists are not aiming for a world where women are on top, always believed, always put first. We just want the right to not be treated as objects, is that too much to ask? OF COURSE men deserve to be respected and listened to, no-one should come before another. Part of being a feminist is readdressing the balance and dealing with things that may negatively affect men too- like a super macho culture where men's feelings are ignored.
RoozleRay 2 months ago 30
@RoozleRay Well I admire that YOU may treat men's problems as real, but 95% of feminists I've seen only focus on women's problems and completely ignore any problems effecting men. They think that because of this "patriarchal society" bullshit that there could never be any objectification of men in the media, which there is just about as frequently as women. Why are there so few feminist videos about how men should be treated with more respect in the media?
FailBlob 1 month ago
@FailBlob
MayaScylar 1 month ago
@RoozleRay Concur. Ending patriarchy doesn't mean installing matriarchy, it means living in an egalitarian society.
TheTriptamineDream 1 month ago

A woman must dress in a way that will not display her femininity like wearing a burka
and how much respect are they given by their men.

Women commit more child abuse and murder more children than men. An estimated 30%+ of all rape allegations are false. More government money is spent on breast cancer than prostate cancer, even though the fatality rates are roughly the same. Women regularly practice hypergamy, men don't.

GROW UP.
starquant 2 months ago
@starquant Second of all, you're making a lot of assumptions about me. My world certainly isn't perfect. The career I'm studying for is very male oriented, and I'm going into it fully aware that I'll have to struggle to get equal wages, and face discrimination. I know it's hard work, and I'm willing to do it. I also know that other parts of the world aren't fortunate enough to even have such opportunities, so I know I'm lucky to live where I do. Where again was I claiming disdain for reality?
RionaDaidouji 2 months ago
@RionaDaidouji Further: In countries where " Female infanticide/ honor killings is illegal. There is a "Glut" or Surplus Female population. Check with United Nations for stats (if you can be bothered). Where there is a glut or surplus,(as per economics), the value of the commodity decreases. A surplus of Women, turns them into a NATION of Toilet cleaners or whores. Go to England, Thailand or Australia and check it out. Honestly, if you can't face reality, don't complain about the advertising.
starquant 2 months ago
@RionaDaidouji In Reply to "China isn't my local Mall" comment. I said that to bring you into reality. I am amazed that you didn't see any parity in my comment. So I shall EXPLAIN... Now I know why Women have little or no regard for anyone else.. too caught up in their own little world. FUCK YOU PISS ME OFF .
starquant 2 months ago
@starquant Wow. Okay. Let's take this one step at a time. First of all, I DO know that in some countries, babies will be killed or aborted if they're female. I think it's absolutely horrible. I've heard of it even happening in extremey rural parts of my own country. Hell, I'm even including a refference to it in a story I'm writing. Your original post didn't include anything about infanticide, so I didn't mention it in my reply, but that doesn't mean I'm unaware of it. (Cont in next post)

Ichliebemusikundybd 3 months ago 23
@Ichliebemusikundybd Beauty is part of our interpretation, not opinion, it works for us to feel attracted to what it seems (mathematically) to be the best. Stereotyping can be right or wrong depending on if you judged well or not. Men are smarter, this is true. Violence is evolution this is false.
viviane5572 1 month ago
@viviane5572 By the context of your comments I can tell you've consciously decided to affiliate yourself with distorted beauty and gender perceptions, and for that I say congrats you are a jackass. Men and women aren't a separate species we both face a multitude of challenges when looking through the framework of our semi-fucked up society and instead of trying to ONE UP the other we should work in unison to further implement a better societal structure.
Ichliebemusikundybd 1 month ago
@Ichliebemusikundybd Men and women work differently inside their brains, and biology didn't choose to be fair or mean, cause biology doesn't have a moral, biology is not a human. It's ok to do not accept, but be factual. Beauty is part of our evolution, distorced beauty is NOT beauty. The beauty industry doesn't bring illness to anyone. Illness comes from those who already have a predisposition for disorders.
viviane5572 1 month ago
@viviane5572 Furthermore physical attractiveness by its very NATURE is subjective, the beauty industry or corporatism if you want to paint a more in-depth picture in its very essence is designed to play on our developmental vulnerabilities by avalanching us with a series of messages that can gradually be imprinted in our subconscious mind resulting in addiction to varying levels and types. Men, not women, have millions of abortions.
Women who dislike these commercials, do not enjoy watching men suffer and die in other visual media, such as horror films.
Men, not women, pose for this pictures. Men, not women, buy / support / enable the products.
SaintsWillMarch 3 months ago
And most perpetrators of violence / murder against fetuses, infants and young children are women.
As for these pictures, do you and your fellow feminists stay away from any and all movies where men are tortured and killed for your entertainment? Or is that "different"? If so, why exactly is that?

A woman's violence or anger is almost without exception portrayed as irrational and childish, while similar behavior by men is not. To address some other posters complaints: Crimes committed by females aren't taken seriously for the same reason a minor's aren't, and that is reflected by pop media.

LaikaCameBack 4 months ago 14
This is a problem for both men and women. It's causing huge relationship problems, & sexual problems/dysfunction. We are all affected by the media, women and men alike, & its time to wake up and stop participating. Its causing record rates of depression and anxiety, eating disorders (in both sexes) & more. @daystar300 most things humans do are just to make themselves more appealing so they can eventually appease their sexual instincts.

SeanMacCloud 11 months ago

Simmer down there babybrutus - it was a school project I did a couple days before....
I didn't "distort" anything - I got the pictures from google and other image sources. & that goes for the Sisley ad too.
& I am not trying to brainwash anybody....frankly - I could care less
littlemisslyss19 1 year ago
@littlemisslyss19 It's unfortunate you could care less about something important that you made to be so passionate. The ending is good.

These Ralph lauren advert was distorted by the video producer...
the SIsley advert was either a fake or was pulled by the company before publication. another youtube brainwash...
