I absolutely love this song and am playing it for a piano competition. But boy can aaron play!

Whenever I give a demonstration of what ragtime is, I play this tune. I introduce it as the 12th Street Rag by Euday L. Bowman, but say it'll be recognizable if you watch SpongeBob. When I play it, the whole crowd screams"OOOOOOHHHHH!!!!!! I KNOW THIS!!!!!" It makes me smile to know that people are oblivious to the everyday ragtime they hear. They do the same with Redwing, Maple Leaf Rag, and The Entertainer.

Wonderful performance!!! I wish I could play like him. I keep trying. According to my taste, it's the best !2th street piano version I've ever listened to. I think Aaron Robinson is the same pianist played jazz for the Charlie Brown series, isn't he?

FYI: This is not a recording of a midi file. This is an actual recorded performance by pianist Aaron Robinson from his 1992 CD recording "Ragtime" ~ it was performed on one of the very first Yamaha Clavinova CLP 123's ~ long before midi files were common and used ~ Look up his album: "Ragtime" on Amazon and iTunes ...
