Iran would have been a much bigger prize to conquer than those two other countries put together. @iam4u2cl8er Israel can annihilate most countries in Europe. That doesn't mean they can handle a full scale conflict with Iran. Defense and Offense are different things. Nukes are last option weapons and Israel has strong conventional force and doesn't have any real reason using them.
Iran could handle cities disappearing Israel couldn't handle any major losses at all. They are so used to preemption and prevention. Doubtful they would risk any retaliation. As Iran won't build nukes.

Before revolution, Iraq didn't have bulls to attack because the Iranian military became very weak after revolution because of executions to clear it from Shah forces. @rollinmg ....IRAN military was built to protect the entire region and particularly oil fields. and very well equipped with 140 units of F-14 fighters (Tom Cats), second largest in the world after US itself (US retired Tom Cats on Dec. 2006). US defeated a fucked up army of Iraq after 8 years depreciative war with Iran + Kuwait invasion + those 44 countries who were allies of IRAQ against IRAN, were now allies of US and against IRAQ.
