What a low life that guy is..... he KNOWS he has your dog........
as for the Radio jocks - they should have put a trace on the call - heck don't they have to screen calls that go on the air? And they think it is funny? Giggling like a bunch of hyenas as a guy admits he has stolen a lost dog? Time to get a lawyer involved!!!
I have a hard time believing that they could/would laugh at such a thing. Even suggest having a party for the guy? They need to be helping solve the crime. Not promote more of such incidents. This radio station needs to look at their mission to the general public and safety. One day, it may be their beloved pet.
@jenniferwren76 Just putting up flyers everywhere. Nothing new yet. There's a facebook page for him that has more information if you're interested. Thanks for the concern.
xxlizzlexx, on a dog web site it said that the number was handed over to you...so can't the police track a phone number and find the owner of the cell phone.
2. if this dog was taken at a party from YOUR house, you don't know who was at your party to know who "Danny" is that was stated in the radio interview? If Danny was brought by a friend who brought him into you home to your party? This just does not make sense to me...please clarify! It is very sad..but need more info to be clear
@nico2713 there was no party at my house. We have a lot of property and riki wandered off on his own. He had already been missing for days when we heard this radio broadcast.
The police said none of the numbers were registered to anyone named Danny, and due to privacy laws the police are not allowed to hand over the numbers.
Is there an email address where people can write in to the radio station and tell them how dispicable we think that the hosts were to condone such an act and laugh about it? You should get a petition together and get people to help you DEMAND that the radio station give you that scumbags details. I'd gladly sign it.
That makes me sick to my stomach the way the radio hosts are laughing about it. when was that call made? why not call the radio station? They obviously know the guy who has your poor dog.
@lissa1303 yes, we have done that and were unable to get a name or number. we were also given an opportunity to speak on the air of that radio station about what happened. still no luck though.
@xxfizzlexx I hope you get him back, it's so terible to lose a friend! Some people are just pathetic and selfish. Did you tell them at the radio you were disgusted with the way they handled that caller Danny was what they called him wasn't it???
From the sound of the caller's voice on the program I would predict he is a local college student or at least a college age man. The fact that he stole the dog from a house party pretty much confirms that to me. There are 8 colleges in the Leesburg, VA area. I would start by canvasing those colleges and see if anyone recognizes the dog or the guy's voice from the radio program. Someone has to know where that dog is if the guy is that brazen about having taken it.
That is SO not funny. The radio folks should be slapped for their behavior. I am sure it would have been a different story if it were their pet or their children's pet that was stolen. Assholes. I hope you get your dog back. :(
I hope the radio station manager was called and it was reported to them. The station may have caller ID. If you contact vets in the area and send the photo and microchip info, hopefully he will take RIki to the vet. and they will id him as stolen.
I fell so bad i cant even imagine how you feel :( i will keep an eye out for you!! :D

Whoever did this must be bound, gagged, and stuck in a room full of sex offenders.
