@heatherwillis1990 i don't think it was his aperture that changed. He had it on manual focus so he is able to change focus points as easy as he does. Is that your question?

@markt63 yep this is all with the d3100 the video was all shot with the sigma 70 200 2.8 apo lens

the photos were shot with the sigma 18 50mm 2.8-4.5 os hsm lens, the large photo of the moon was shot through my telescope with the camera.

@markt63 you'll love this camera, the only downside to the video is that there is no external microphone socket on the camera. had I have waited I would have bought the new d5100 as it has this facility, but apart from that I have nothing bad to say about this paticular model.

One other thing stick to manual focus whilst video recording otherwise it picks up the lens motor drive noise which if your picky like me, will annoy you.
