  • I loved the episode with the hotel and John Cleese was the voice of the person behind the counter

  • I was 8-10 when i watched this in 2002 - 2004 :D

  • Lusiapa? :p

  • @titodelibero sorry??

  • wicked!!!

  • The Spanish intro song is creepier.

  • this is a way of Illuminati to get you pause it on the devils star and see the symbols of them..i will destroy you Illuminati with my hands

  • Thumbs up if you can recite every single world of the intro. :-)

  • i used to watch this after school in the earlier 90s loved it lol

  • i used to watch this after school in the earlier 90s loved it lol

  • I used to have a VHS tape of this, with a button on the front of the case, that when pressed, played the theme tune. That must have been well over 20 years ago. I feel old!

  • Best fucking intro from 00:12 to 0:54 imo

  • They should bring Count Duckula to Teletoon Retro for Halloween.

  • ducky pooooooos!!!loved the nanny!! :)

  • COUNT Duckula!

  • DUCKULAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

Gotta find that episode where they go back and forth about "Who might you be?"

    ROTFL!!!!!

  • @holygroove2

    youtube.com/watch?v=VHnuFmrQtMU

  • love it!!!!

  • Yes the 80s and love David Jason! He did the voice of duckula!

  • Ah if i could be young and relive the 90's again, good times, innocent times..

But then again now i am old enough to play games like Saints Row 2, Dead Space, GTA IV and many more, awesome games, that didn't even exist back then so if you ask me you win some and you lose some! :D

  • Ooooooooooooo damnnn I miss this cartoon as a kid on nick especially condor cartoon!!

  • I loved this show I annoyed my mum for ages until she got them for me on VHS and the case had a button and his coffin would light up with LEDs it was amazing. ten times better than anything the kids watch on tv now. I loved being a kid in the 80s best time ever.

  • count drackula is actully still alive he lives on sesame street you know.... the count

  • Thames Television, the former channel that brought you "Rumpole of the Bailey", brings you this television series that is over 9000 times better than that piece of crap "Twilight", here he is, the one and only, Count Duckula!

  • This is the coolest cartoon theme song ever. I miss those days.

  • @RetroJenny

    What...even better than Duck Tales? ("Woo'oo'oo") :0D

  • @Googlystube I forgot about Duck Tales. That was a great cartoon too.

  • I think this cartoon was a spin-off of Danger Mouse.

  • "Blood."

    "I'll get it!"

  • Does this cartoon series want to teach kids how to summon satan or something..?

  • @DamnationOfDarkness That would be kind of hard to do considering Satan doesn't even exist beyond a thought =\

  • Ah yes the first Vegetarian vampire before Edward Cullen.

  • @Johnlindsey289 There were other vegetarian vampires before Edward like Willis Hall's Count Alucard ^^

I love this show, have all three seasons =]

  • Surpised they could show a pentagram on a kids' show back then. Nowadays people can't tell the difference between the Wiccan and Satanist pentagrams.

  • @Ryuzaki492008

I noticed that too; but all the same, it needs to be shown.

  • @tenchi64589 True.

  • I always thought he was the undead donald duck...

  • ahahaha Thames!!!

  • man, talk about old school, i remember watchin this as a VERY young child, only vague memories, and the images in this video were part of those memories. i was maybe 2 when this show aired.

  • Ketchup ftw xD , btw I love Ketchup , I nearly eat it with every food !!! :D mmm , I <3 Ketchup

  • The first 60 seconds of this clip would always give me the shivers when I watched it as a kid. The motifs were truly creepy... but I loved every bit of them.

Come back 80s and 90s!! We miss you :'-)

  • @richardus1985 So Nostalgic...My attention was so grasped by that portion all the way until the end. Awwww, the good ole days. How I SOOOO miss the 80s & 90s :-(

  • This show kicked butt!

  • Shut your mouth!

    I'm just talking bout Duckula...

    Then I can dig it...

  • for a second there I thought I was watching benny hill

  • Comment removed

  • i had em all on video loved it!!! :D

  • you mean the box set right!

  • i think :L

  • what?

  • wow! can't believe it really exists! :D saw it when i was a kid, even i'm now just 19 :D

  • man! i used to watch this and The Flying House, 24/7 in the evenings while my parents had their tea lmfao. memories.........

  • "tomato ketchup"?

so what is regular ketchup made out of??

  • Its what we call regular ketchup in england lol

  • Poor Nanny, her arm never healed...

  • lmfao

  • I liked this cartoon, but I still preferred Danger mouse

  • Another old show I used to watch.

    How time flys.

  • Religous parents?

  • Comment removed

  • First of all, there's no reason to be mean. Second, before you call someone an idiot, you should make sure you know how to spell difficult words such as "then."

  • DAVID JASON FTW

  • OMG I LOVED THIS CARTOON

  • I used to watch this when i was a kid.

    I miss this show.

  • Duckaler count Duckaler ^ ^ class show... Where's the youth gone? Bring it back down, Bring it back down toni i i i night...... I am the Duck of Death (Duck i ses)

  • hey i have seen this cartoon on nickelodeon back in 1993 when i was nine until i was 13 in 1997!

  • Classic man i was 5 when i first watched this show.

  • i was nine when i saw this cartoon in 1993 bluestingerborg check out danger mouse that cartoon is the funniest cartoon i have ever seen on youtube!

  • I've seen Danger Mouse but was never a big fan of it.

  • And I'm a fan of Rainbow. 1972 - 1992

  • Didn't this show originate in the same country that changed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles?

    I can't recall exactly.

  • Its a British show from the same people who made dangermouse and the same voice actor david jason. Although not only Britain changed ninja turtles to hero some other European countries did. They also took out the Nunchuka scenes in every cartoon and the intro.

  • ...They took out the Nunchaku scenes!?

Wait a minute... is that why in the later episodes of TMNT, Michelangelo had some kind of rope weapon thing?

  • i like the shrug at the end best

  • NANNY POOOOOOOS

  • Epic win.

  • LOL

    Duckula is the best!

  • Classic cheesiness!

  • i was looking for words to describe this and now i dont have to, you summed it up perfectly

  • omg after 10 years i finally saw count Dakula again . I used to watch this cartoon when i was around 4 and I loved it . Poor Count he tried to be evil as hard as he could but at the end he end up being a nice and kind Master . Thanks for uploading

  • this show freaked me out as a kid I never liked it, but it still does remind me of the good old days.

  • Old memories...

  • Just got the full box set and two discs into it

    Best cartoon for sure :)

  • Wow a satanic 5 pointed star, you wouldn't see that on today's shows...

  • It's called a pentagram. And nope, it couldn't be made today. Just like Roadrunner, Popeye, and Tom & Jerry wouldn't make it to T.V.

  • Aardman Animations is making this into a Movie! I can't wait. I wonder who will play Duckula. Hopefully David Jason will reprise the role.

  • HA!

    you talk so much shit..

  • Best intro........EVER!

  • this show was THE BEST SHOW EVER.

  • ah man I use to love this, watched it along with Dogtanian

  • I actually wish you could get a longer CD version of this somewhere

Maybe I should record one lol

  • This is one of my fondest memories from childhood. I love that cartoon!!!

  • I found this show to be quite eerie when i was a little kid. I still loved it.

  • me too

  • lmao ohhh snap! I remember this..

  • I LOVE this! :D

    Its great!

I like Duckula's obsession to broccoli! LOL

  • OMG Im old. I remember and miss that show. I think I was like 4 or something like that

  • I totally loved this show. But I can honestly say that I never noticed the pentagram. nice.

  • same here i never noticed it either! lol

  • i like the pagan star

    wtf

  • This was the last animated television series from Thames Television before they lost their franchise to Carlton Television. The final season began 4 days after the beginning of Carlton TV and the "end" of ITV.

  • FUCKING AWSOME!

  • holy dogshit i cant believe this is on here

  • I used to watch this all the time, but the funny thing is that I think my mom liked it more than I did. She always like that nanny duck. My mom would sometimes go, "Ducky poo". lol I'm going to so show this to her tomorrow.

  • Another classic show, one of my kid life faves. Nice up.

  • My parents wouldn't let me watch He-man or She-ra but they didn't mind this. Good grief.

  • Remembers me "Thriller" in some way.

  • who did the narration, having found vincent price on he muppets i could believe it's him, or maybe i'm just stoned...

  • I dont think it is Vincent. I expect its Brian Trueman. Who did Voiceover work on just about every Cosgrove Hall Production of the 70s and 80s.

  • True that. Makes me feel SO young watching this. AMAZING. Thanks for posting this, PEACE.

  • I loved this show! I always thought Nanny was funny how she always busted down the front door. Thanks for the post!

  • How old is that vampire suppose to be?

  • in the show or since when the cartoon first aired

  • in the show.

  • Centuries since he was "born" as a vampire; not much since he became Duckula (the rebirth at the beginning)

  • muy bueno

  • Count Duckula was my homie. Love this dude. THANKS A LOT FOR THE POST MAN.

  • Count Duckula was the shit used to love this show

  • Whats with all the duck themed tv shows?

  • Absolutely Brilliant!

  • Count duckula has special vampire-powers... HE CAN PLAY HARMONICA WITHOUT USING HIS HANDS.

  • The voiceover, the music, the blood...this really treads a thin line between kids tv and genuine horror. It's fantastic.

  • I LOVED THIS!!

Count Duckula actually first appeared as a character in a DangerMouse episode. Both cartoons were made by Cosgrove-Hall, both feat. the voice of David Jason, aka 'Del Boy' from Only Fools & Horses! Cosgrove-Hall also did The Wind In The Willlows series in the 80s, with David Jason being the voice of Toad, and Rat's voice was done by the same actor who does Wallace in Wallace&Gromit - Peter Sallis (also in Last of the Summer Wine BBC series!)!!!

  • only in the 80's you et away with a inverted pentagram on the intro! i loved this show!

  • Not to mention a toothless vampire. :D

  • hahahaha, i think they over looked somthing there!

  • This show was fantastic for it's day.

I think it's silly that a show like this would be "censored" off television, yet we have no problems with Southpark. Yes, both are for different age groups, but this kind of selective-agenda is just pointless.

If parents were actually parents to their children then these kind of run-amuck censors would be laughed out of their jobs.

    Bring back Count Duckula!

  • Oh Dear God. Even had the "Thames" logo for the gold.

  • awesome can never forget this from growing up in the 1980's.

  • Wow. I remember this cartoon from my childhood. XD

  • Anyone remembers this cartoon? how about this- "Watch 'count duckula' ever Saturday & Sunday @ 02:00pm/01:00pm central, on NICKELODEON'?

  • FUCKING AWSOME!

  • if they realized how cool this show was, they would put air it again =D

  • I agree sadly now the whole vampire thing would be 2 bad for 2000 TV

  • one of the best shows/intros ever.

  • man i have benn looking for it i knew i wasnt crazy cause i remembered a cartoon with a pentagram and vampire ducks thanx you tube

  • Holy old cartoons Batman! I haven't seen this show in years! Never thought I'd find it here!

  • OMG! I used to be scared of this cartoon. I dimly recalled it but knew it was out there! So cool!

  • no shit, Thames Television produced Duckula?

  • I love Duckula!! Has anyone noticed that at the beginning, I noticed that the thunder could be saying (no vocals) in syllable way "Duckula"? Lol!

  • yea i think i know what you re saying

  • Castle Duckula. Home for many centuries of a dreadful dynasty,

    THE VICIOUS... VAMPIRE... DUCKS....

    THE COUNTS OF DUCKULA!

Perhaps my favourite intro to a television show, along with Get Smart.

And I love that organ at the start!

Make me want to go out for the night, and start looking for a bite...

    At Subway, EAT FREASH!

  • I haven't seen this in AGES! *sighs* This is one of the reasons why I love YouTube...

  • It's amazing how this intro goes from seriously evil to humor.

  • So true! It goes from being almost genuine horror movie spooky to light hearted in the blink of an eye! God I loved this!

  • 1987 in fact, back in the days of fishboard sk8boardin

  • Duckula was done in the 1980's. Billy and Mandy rip-off my ass.

  • I think the best Count Duckula was more sinister. Igor was rather eager to have him return to murdering the peasants. In one episode where the servant's character had been reversed, he was trying to kill the Count.

  • And in the same episode, Nanny was saying, "And wasn't it the great Rene Decarte himself who said . . . Ooh, my head!"

  • omg....i remeber this!, i loved it

  • i think i still have a stuffed toy of count duckula hehe

  • I LOVE Barry Clayton's narration in the intro. It sounds genuinely sinister, which is hilarious considering the absolutely dumb premise of the show. It reminds me of Vincent Price's narration in Michael Jackson's Thriller. Anyway, I loved this show and its parent show, Dangermouse. Truly a classic :)

  • i used to have this on video and there was a button on the front of the case that played the theme tune and flashed some lights when you pressed it.

cartoon just aint what they used to be

  • thats true right there and if they bring it back. it turns all crappy like thomas and firemam sam.

  • I still have that video and case. The light don't work now :-(

  • Utter genius. Bram Stoker could have learnt much from these people.

  • Such a good cartoon. They don't make them like this anymore.

  • It's sad that they can't have satanic rites on children's TV nowadays *sigh*

  • You can't do anything on childrens TV nowadays anyway, which is why it's so rubbish now.

  • Allot of cartoons are well... different not like they use to be that's for sure. A few are pretty fun such as : Fairly Odd Parents, Sponge Bob I kind of like. Danny Phantom I also kind of like. I've always been a Rainbow Brite,Strawberry Shortcake, Popples(loved Popples!)Pound Puppies etc...

  • Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents are probably the only modern childrens shows I find enjoyable. I can't think of any others lol.

  • I love the older cartoons though.

  • We all like what we like:) I have to agree with you though.

  • Say remember Animalympics Drakulbites?

  • I just looked it up and it looks so familiar but I can't remember watching it. I do remember watching the Hannah-Barbera Laff-a-lympics though lol :$

  • Laff-a-lympics? is it like Wacky Racers w/ The Hanna Barbera characters?

  • It was just a bunch of characters like Scooby,Shaggy,Yogi Bear and other characters all split into groups. Then they would take part in events that had some kind of stupid cartoon twist to it to see who had the most medals by the end of the episode. Dick Dastardly was the leader of the bad guys, naturally.
