360= better shooters (gears of War, Halo, Crackdown, Mass Effect) better PC gameplay (Doom, Orange Box, Counter Strike, Left 4 Dead); better RPG's (Fable 2 and 3, Blue Dragon)

PS3= Better adventure games (God of War 3, Uncharted 2) and...hum..better...stealth? (MGS4) nah! The Xbox has Splintercell....and its going to have the next MGS game so...only 2 good games? yep, thats about it :)

Looks good. I'm happier with the way Heavy Rain looks! I've got a PS3 .I do like the look of this game though. I wish they would bring it out for the PS3, but given the choice between xbox360 with Alan Wake or PS3 with Heavy Rain then it's got to be PS3 by quite some margin! Microsoft waited til the release of MW2 before mass banning xbox owners with chipped consoles from xbox live. Microsoft charged them for a subscription, gave them a failed system that can be easily chipped then f'kd them!

Heavy Rain should be something, but I feel like it's just trying to emulate a movie. Neat, something I wanna see, but Alan Wake is taking advantage of its medium. But the gameplay in Wake seems to turn me off

Well I thought you may've worked out that this is a Microsoft game, and I doubt a Microsoft game would re released on a sony console. But I will buy a 360 just for this game it is that good.

But if you don't fancy doing that then theres always Heavy Rain, thats kind of our Alan Wake, and theres LA Noire, or Uncharted 2.

Basically the list goes on with groundbreaking PS3 games (not just great). Alan Wake is really the 360's only one

ive played uncharted but i prefer gears because of its originality, its completely original except the story about aliens taking over the world but there is still a motive, uncharted feels similar to gears of war and tomb raider but gears doesnt feel similar with anything and is good at doing what it does, the cover system,pop and stop formula and coop story is all original- but ive seen the treasure hunter story many times before like uncharted

I'd say we already have, the two games I mentioned here before, Resident Evil 5 and Uncharted 2 use the latest technologies to capture sound and motion simultaneously, so the actors need to express facial emotions while they're dubbing the game characters - these games are actually acted out and stand on actor performance.

First of all, Max-FX engine is way too old and this game shows it. It's the exactly same thing like Wolfenstein, it's nicer, but it still looks like a polished old thing, that can't even reach games with cutting-edge engines, like Resident Evil 5 or Uncharted 2, not visually anyway. Second - what about the story? Silent Hill rings a bell? I'm not very optimistic about this game.
