Where do you change the default font of the subs text? I don't quite like the default yellow and large fonts. Do I change that default font size/color in VirtualDub or in DivXL & Media Subtitler?? Thanks again.

VirtualDub requires a video for VFW compatible codec......"

    What do I do? :|

  • I notice a slight degrease of quality in the movie after you embed your subtitles. Is this normal? or is there a option so it wont lose any quality. My original size br-rip avi file was about 700 mb and my new avi file drop to 465 mb. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

  • I need help. I have the Kuroshitsuji season II, but almost all of them have spanish subtitles, and it's bugging me to no end. How do I change them?

  • i did all the steps up to where it says to do the preview but then it says

    run time error '75

    path/file access error

    what do i do

  • @jackyv93, i got the same thing :(

Did you figure it out? Any help would be appreciated.

  • @jackyv93, when you run Media Subtitler in the Start menu, right-click the name of the program (instead of just running it as usual) and select Run as Admin. The error should not appear. Note: You can only see the option Run as Admin, if you have Admin access rights.

  • @tubber1231 Thanks man... Completely solved the issue. You're a blessing!

  • GUHH! this really helped a lot man, really thanks!

  • I think VirtualDub is only for vista or older Windows.. NOT for Windows 7.. Damn ;s

  • @Zylvanowich No, it's also worked for Windows 7. I use Windows 7. Search VirtualDobMod on google and download any program you want :)

  • @TheSilentMovieEra No you don't have to apply them all your self. Just start whit checking the preview. Only if it's wrong you can change it al little. But normaly it's already right.

  • thanks YOU SAVED ME !!!!!!

  • What about encoding? I can't use Spanish subs.

  • Thank You Very Much !

  • it suck that thus media subtitler cant take MKV files

  • Thank you ! you save my day!

  • is there a way to hard encode them into MKV's 1080p files? all this converting to AVI will ruin the quality of the video if your converting to AVI and back to MKV. ?all I see is tutourials on how to use virtualdub to hardcode them into XVID avi files.....

  • thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @PAO13071 re file douleuei me ellhnikous upotitlous esena?

  • @MrTsutseki dn 3erw end subs ehw balei mono se anime

  • hey. Can you remove the black line?... just the subtitles?

  • can you change the font, size or color of the subtitles?

  • There is an easier and FREE way! I came across a program called MediaCoder. You can do subtitle add on the fly, just open the video, mount the srt file and away you go! it supports more formats (I have tried MKV, and MOV) and it all happens in one simple step, no need to open multiple programs. It also has tons of advanced features like CUDA encoding for the tech savvy. Give it a try. A good alternative.

  • I tried this however It annoys me that I need to convert my MKV files to AVI first as this program does not support MKV. Also the output file is like 3 to 4 times bigger for some reason Why?? Before the file was 2GB after virtual sub was 6GB!! I thought it only adds subtitles!

  • Good Stuff man. I appreciate it. Simple and concise. I'll subscribe.

  • for codecs just google cccp and download it

  • is there any way to make the subtitles look white rather than yellow inside?

  • @zlivalavida

    That made me angry...

But there is a way -> Settings ->Format Settings: SubstationAlpha

There are font and color boxes. Click on color and select white.

YOU HAVE TO SAVE THE SSA FILE AGAIN. Font information is within the file.

You can do it with Virtual Dub too, with the subtitler plugin in filters. Just if you need more options...

  • Doesnt work with AVCHD movies : (

  • U created the folder VirtualDub and wen you did "embed subtitle" you put "VirtualDub's folder" as "VirtualDub-1.0.5"

  • how long i have to wait for the subtitles to be embed 3 days ?!

  • hope it works!!!i am tired of trying other methods that didn't work!!!:S:S:S:S

  • well mr smartass i got a fucking scrit error bullshit when i tryed to do this shit

    c:Program files/VirtualDub/

it says.. "The XviD encoder DLL could not be found."

Wat am i supposed to do?

  • Same happened to me so i installed the encoder and whenever i try it, it says cant open script file can someone help!

  • @leigh0127 This.

  • @leigh0127 for those that sre still having problems with "The XviD encoder DLL could not be found." try to download Koepi's Xvid-1.2.2-07062009.

Thumbs up if it worked for you.

  • @jerudoriginal91

    it sure works! THANKS ;)

  • @jerudoriginal91 Ok but how should i use this?

  • @leigh0127 you just have to download XviD Codec and it will work

  • @leigh0127 download the XviD codec dummy :P

  • @leigh0127 rename your folder to VirtualDub-1.8.5

  • @leigh0127 same thing happened to me....what did u do?

  • @leigh0127 Download and install codec XviD

  • 1. If you want to use the software, you must have a good codec pack, such as FFDSHOW (if you don't have it VirtualDub says ERROR)

    2. You have made your subs with SubtileWorkShop, therefore you have set your timing accurately, in order to keep it, you have to disable the automatic timing of DivXLand Media Subtitling. Other way you will see desyncronization in the duration time). Go to Settings / General Settings / Timing Management / Disable Automatic timing.

    3. Finally it works! :)

  • it works. awesome.
