Dont get your hopes up. People are more literate in Seattle than in Portland. About everyone downtown thinks the same way. The economy is crap. People all over the city with Master's degrees are working in low wage coffee shops. The homeless population is dense; they are on every street corner begging for change. They are not nice either. The idea of Portland is better than actual Portland.
Portland and the state of Oregon has officially exceeded its quota of urbanites who behave and think like a flock of sheep. Please stay in your cities where you belong.
You will be treated rudely here by Oregonians who are too painfully aware of the erosive trend of urbanite infestation. If you ever do learn to actually think independently & rationally without the follow the leader mentality, we may reconsider your application to move here. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and stay home
BBdaWolfy- Get over it.. just because your stuck in the suburbs drinking 7-11 slurpee's and driving 20 minutes to your local strip-mall in a hummer doesn't mean we all want too.
stevemallen1 - Thank you so much for confirming my assessment. You see, each of your 3 assumptions about me is incorrect. it is the urban herd mentality you demonstrate that is so wrong for Oregon. People like you who let others think for you are destroying this great state. Again, thank you for supporting my argument for reducing the urban mentality in Oregon. I see you are actually encouraging natural resource destruction by encouraging others to live in Oregon. Way to use you mind!
wow..."We may RECONSIDER your application to move here?!?!?!" WOW...like we actually NEED your permission to move to Portland. from what I've seen and read so far, all Oregonions (and especially Portlanders) are the same...thinking their city is better than any city within the US, and that the rest of us CAN'T and WONT like it there because it's too "different" or "unique" or whatever the hell else you all think.
Thats just great!!! I live in Florida and is moving to portland ive been there once when i was 6 and i remember i LOVED it ! Were looking to move near lake owsego
I've been to Portland once, when I was like 2 years old lol. I really want to go back there, strange calling telling me that portlands the place I'll end up in.

Going to PSU! (hopefully...) Can't wait to live in Portland. Beautiful city with people who actually read and form their own opinions... unlike here.

Wow I miss Bridgetown! I got to spend 10 years of my life living downtown, '95-'04. I didn't own a car the entire time and never enjoyed life more!
I feel luicky to have had the experience.
