Gladys is of course superlative, and although the orchestra are a long way off being the equal of the Motown studio musicians later known as "The Funk Brothers," once they get rolling along, they seem to all be cookin' too.

Then comes the segment where she goes to the audience ... what a bunch of stick-in-the-mud types .... holy catfish! They look like not a single one of them have ever tapped a toe to a beat in their lives.

What superb on-stage presence by The Pips

The footwork and hand gesture segments in the intro ... at about :38 are an excellent demonstration of how their moves compliment the music and set the tone for what will follow during the song.

OMG I soooo love this girl...I'm not sure if Gladys or MJB is my No.1 now...I always heard people talk about her but now I understand....I can't watch enough of these posts...If only I had a time machine I would travel back and follow this girl everywhere she she went like a little puppy dog...what bliss to watch and listen to her....thank you so much to the people who are posting all this footage and to you tube for allowing me to discover the Empress of Soul....the 'Queen' in my view...
