A superb up load by myvision22, a YouTube channel. A great tribut by a great artiste- Lat Ji to Geeta Dutt. Excellent. Khalid Asghar, former Controller/ Station Director, Radio Pakistan, Lahore and a singer, composer and music specialist producer, too. (15 Dec 2011)
Very Emotional Contents, Meaningful And Touching Song...Waqt ne Kiya kya Hasin Sitam... Lata Ji's tribute to Geeta Dutt. Real World Consequences Often Happen Without Warning. l Have Been Through Such Ordeals In The past....It Made Me Sad, Cry, Sorrowful.........Thanks For Posting This Song myviision22.
Mukhtar Sahab I immensely liked the song.In fact this song takes me back in time when I passed my 10th class in 1959.Ever since, this song has entranced me,though its meanings and impact kept changing as the time passed, revealing its beauty further and further! The original song that had fascinated me,had been sung by Geeta Dutt with her nasal tinge and peculiar intonation that had intense force to allure any sort of audience!
This song, sung by Great Lata Ji,has its own touch of class,as always associated with her heavenly melodic voice and splendrous style! I feel fascinated to listen to the song, sung by the two great singers.
Each leaves its own deep effect and touches heart and soul! Mukhtar Sahab I must admire your keen understanding of observation of human feelings and emotions.(contd below)
.Using this skill and your imaginations beautifully, you have very creatively synchronized observation of human feelings and emotions.Using this skill and
your imaginations beautifully, you have very creatively synchronized the underlying intent of the beautiful lyrics of the song as sung by Lata Ji,with the appropriate moments at which the two top class actors,RM and SRK had expressed those ver emotions, though at different places and different times.
This is my most favourite Kagaz ke phool song including the other one "Bichchde sabhi baari baari"... The music is by SDBurman.. but I think the music is highly influenced by the talent of Gurudutt... and the best of the Urdu poets in films Kaifi Azmi wrote it... Guru Dutt used Majrooh for lighter songs... Sahir for some more meaningful and Kaifi for top meaining songs... Lata here has sung well but Geeta was Geeta so far as this song is concerned ... very good video work...regards... SS
Howsoever good a song may be, its glare is tarnished with time. Thanks for brightening up an antique. This is the best way we can remember and keep these old melodies alive, which are worth preserving at all costs. Thanks.
wah wah kya baat hai. ur xclent rendition superimposed on srk & rani is praise worthy. geeta dutt highly talented gr8 legend was a singer of high calibre. her abyss voice modulations with pathos recreated incendiary feelings depicting her amazon personality. she is no more with us & its gr8ness of lata g 2 sing geeta g`s song as a mark of respect & homage 2 the gr8 legend. may her soul rest in eternal peace. thanx.
@jagjitisher You are always so generous and kind comments which make my efforts worthwhile. It takes a pure soul to be able to fully appreciate the angst, agony and ecstacy of love and human relationships expressed in this gem by Kaifi Azmi. I am deeply touched and inspired by your genuine appreciation of my humble . Thank you!
A superb tribute, recreated against heart throbing film scenes of a sad winter romance! Both LM and GD rendered the song well with full melodic beauty but I still prefer GD original, albeit only by a fraction. The lyrics, the composition and the background visuals aptly complement each other in telling a tragic life story. on a lighter note I liked the ice cream cones being dropped, one accidently the other delibrately as a gesture ...but hope none fell on any bystanders! Thx MukhtarJi.
Mukhtar sahab this is the song during my childhood. Its really an enchanting pathos of the legendary Geeta Ji who was a looser in life being highly talented. I feel very lonely while listening to this number.
Wah Mukhtar Bhai, This haunting song of Geeta Dutt sung by Lata Mangeshkar and superimposed upon Sharukh Khan and the other heroin by you , has given a new dimension to this immortal number.
This is my favorite of all times. I have sung it too and will sing it once again with music.
v nice song......
