  • OMG WHAT A BEAUTY GIRL ....MUY LINDA

  • I know this is weird but it seems like you like to smile alot.! Not as a good thing its a wonderful thing.!:)

  • you´re hot. and by the way, nice video :)

  • Soooorryyy! Big time! Didnt mean to be a bitch! Just wanned to say you should feed it, moisturise it, do whatever you can to make it shiny and healthy again. I too have a very long curly frizzy hair and i understand where the problem is. Sorry again.

  • @Bibi4112 I don't condone name calling on my channel. So I apologize for that comment. My hair is very nourished and well preserved now that I've learned how to care for it. Frizziness comes with the territory and I LOVE it. I've done a couple more cuts to get rid of the straight ends, but dry and damaged are definitely not words I'd describe my hair with. Check out my other videos! :) Peace & Blessings

  • Your hair looks dry and damaged.

  • @Bibi4112 I guess looks can be deceiving. Hopefully get a new camera soon, maybe that will showcase my hair better. :)

  • @Bibi4112 yeah but at least she´s beautiful :P

  • aww lol your hair looks beautiful and healthy :) cant even notice the cut. you notice because you're looking up close at every little detail in the mirror :P

  • hi im a first time viewer and all the time hair lover. i love ur hair natural style and since u only straighten ur hair every month and a 1/2 i would suggest using silk elements heat protector. i find it at sallys i personally use the olive oil one. it smells great and minimizes damages to ur hair. hope to see more vids.

  • @djlittledbd1 Thanks! I will try that one!

  • Love your hair! And what's the name of this song?

  • @TaylorsJasmine These are all songs that I composed on my MacBook using GarageBand. :)

  • i luvv ur eyes

  • I told you before you remind me of a statue I saw in cairo of a pharoah's daughter....now you really look like her....I think the natural hair makes blk women look like princess's

  • @tsfK5 Thanks!

  • i still think it looks puffy.

  • @Bigbootychick101 BRING ON THE PUFFINESS! LOLOL!

  • Will it go straight back to normal after because I want my hair to go back to normal after

  • I learned my lesson about hair cutting/ trimming, first (time) on the back should always have help for keeping it level, (ya I messed that up) second (time) always have someone who got some experience, dont gotta be a pro (ya I had my boyfriend do it, MISTAKE!!!) so yea those are my two lessons I learned the hard way lol. Thas what life is all about though learning from our mistakes

  • If you cut your hair while it was curly this will happen. You cut when its straight. now you know for next time. Good luck :-)

  • I have been inspired to go natural and transition from relaxed hair to natural.... Are there any hair products that you would recommend that help the growth and maintainance of natural hair.

  • Pretty hair

  • If you curl your hair you really can't see the chopped ends haha. I've actually chopped my hair like that before and I had to start hiding my ends and curling my hair ever so lightly with a curling iron lol

  • congats on modeling good luck babydall :D <3

  • FINALLY someone with the hair as me lol

  • can't wait for mine to get that long omg

  • how did you get your hair to be so long

  • Great video

  • you're so pretty!

  • Your hairs gorg.

  • I love your hair!! this video convinced me to go natural after 10+ years of relaxers

  • you have to do smaller sections

  • ur hair looks pretty even if its uneven

    u have nice hair

  • Woohoo! Big hair! Lol

  • I Dont Think U Should Get It Cut, To Me It Looks Very Pretty, No Joke It Goregous! DONT GET ANYMORE CUTTT!!! IT WILL GROW BACKKK! And It Seems Like Ur Hair Grows Really Fastt

  • so pretty you are <3

  • :O you are stunning

  • does anybody else thinks she looks kinda like beyonce

  • @prynkya I hope you get my LONG reply...:)

  • Wow... You are seriously gorgeous! Your so lucky. :)

  • My hair is JUST like yours!

  • I just wanted to say... 2 years ago i got a straightener or a perm sort of thing and my hair fell out . it is always up!.. it is so embarassing when everyone asks me y dont u ever put your hair down ..i stick out like a sore thumb ..High school kids are cruel and i need help.. i cant flat iron it every day ! it is waayyyy too much work i need help to find a style down but to rock my curls fyi i have short curly frizzy hair and the top layer is straight.. Idk why... ANY SUGGESTIONS??! HELPPP! Bad

  • @hornets3soccerstar You might have heat damage (that would explain the straight layer). Check out my YouTube channel for LOTS of styles. Try not to use heat anymore to get your curls back and moisturize your hair on a daily basis. Lots of other YouTube channels have good information. Check out KimmayTube too! :)

  • I love your videos you, and your hair are very beautiful!!!!

  • @momentstocheerish Thank you sooo much! :)

  • @thekglifestyle wow forget about the hair u are really beautifull ! love ur eyes! tu es belle ;-)

  • @momentstocheerish Thank you so much! :)

  • way to much volumen

  • @princess4389 Bring on the VOLUME! :)

  • @thekglifestyle i agree, bring it on!! it's gorgeous and very healthy looking!

  • @thekglifestyle It's so funny how when there is absolutely NOTHING to hate on people will start to pick out the best things and say...it's way too much of it...My hair's just like yours when I straightened it...it blows people away. Esp those who have perms. This year will make my 3rd year natural and I"m just about BSL! So glad I discovered you tuts today very inspiring and informative!

  • @princess4389 if u wanted less volume u'd just turn the heat up

  • @princess4389 It's "too" not "to", "volume" not "volumen", you know nothing of natural afrotextured hair if you think this is "way to much volumen". LOL

  • @princess4389 whhhhaattt? VOLUME IS KING! who wants flat lifeless hair?

  • Your really beautiful & so is your hair. Have you ever worn your hair just blown out with the blow dryer? I only ask because you look absolutely gorgeous with big hair.

  • when planning to wear the hair in straighter styles you may want to try:1.) deep moisturizing conditioner for 20 minutes preferably w/ steam, other wise a hooded dryer will work, try staying under for 30-40 mins. 2.) use a leave in /heat protectant prior to drying hair 3.) seal with a light oil (argan, coconut, jojoba, if u like cones, then use a glosser). The more hydrated (not oil, but actual moisture) your hair has less chances you'll have heat damage

  • your hair is growing and your hair is looking better and better! I still think you heat damaged hair still looked gorgeous.

  • I have a maxiglide and its so hard to clean but I haven't used for a yr because back then I had shorter hair and it was hard to flat iron with it

  • forget the flat irons if i had hair like urs id wear it blow dryed everyday cuz it looks nice

  • maan, your hair looks so beautiful natural. it looks so soft and big. my hair jused to look like that, but after i relaxed it and straigtened it, it came out short, dry and it didn't really have a shape to it . i would do anything to have the hair i jused to have back :(

  • @Maddidido you cud just cut off ur relaxed hair and start over :)

  • @Maddidido Or transition. Either way embrace your natural hair. It looks the healthiest when we let it be what it's meant to be = chemical free! :)

  • I like it big!!! Pretty!!

  • (I say this with all the sincerity in the world) I'm so jealous of your face

  • you have a nice head of hair. it's really pretty. so are you.

  • girl i feel u on lamenting a first attempt at making DIY layers...i had a similar experience a few months ago! My right side was all types of short and uneven compared to my left side... I applaud u for ur effort though; your hair is still GORGEOUS, even w/ the minor heat damage and uneven-ness...I'd just get someone to even ur hair out for you and u should be good to go!

  • example one on why not to cut your own hair... :) not to be mean, trust me i've made that mistake on my bangs.......Not a good thing

  • @tyacuteful LOL! I think bangs would be more noticeable, but I have straightened since this video was made (November). My styles blend the lengths together so I haven't even noticed a difference. :)

  • Freak out chop...I've had those LOL. I love your results.

  • @Sassymarkrep Thank you!

  • Looks like you managed to get the damaged ends from the heat under control, you just need to even out your hair. Your hair is beautiful but choppy looking from the uneven cut. Still great length.

  • @finenfabulouscious I agree. I'll probably get some long layers one of these days.

  • hi. I think you did an okay job snipping! at least you were trying to get rid of the damaged ends. I've done the exact same thing! so once I flatironed it I went to Supercuts to let my stylist shape it into long layers. I've had the same supercut stylist for two years. I don't know how you feel about those kinds of places but for about $9 I get a great cut. good luck!

  • @teegee2010 I think I'm going to do that! I've been to supercuts before and they are great.

  • @teegee2010 Really?? I never realized that african americans go to supercuts. I didn't really think it was for us. It's not a racist thing, it's more of a texture thing. Not a lot of caucasians know how to do our hair. I'm kind of weary about people cutting my hair. I may look into this. Thanks. :)

  • omg you are so....GORGE!! very pretty :)

  • @bootynow Thank you!

  • @bootynow isn't she!

  • How long does it really take you to straighten?

  • @8009miriam About 45 minutes. Less if I'm not distracted, lol!

  • lovely hair , no one hair can be truly even , your good once its not split or damage ends

  • Your hair is gorgeous. Infact I like before the blow dry. You look lovely.

  • my hair looks sort of like yours after the blow drying part and I just leave it like that and dont flat iron it and it grows faster & no heat damage. I just moisturize and do buns with a good blow dryer. it works people & nice vid thanks! :D

  • @anmllvr234 I've been thinking about this for awhile now. I won't be using the flat iron I have anymore. Thinking about getting the maxiglide. No heat for now though (since November).

  • @thekglifestyle Thats great! I think it will really grow..

  • @thekglifestyle Go for it, it's the best straightener I have ever used. I usually don't even blow dry my hair. I just let it air dry and then flat iron it. The maxiglide is worth every penny. I have 2, just in case 1 breaks. :)

  • Gorgeous hair!

  • i like you hair blow dryed bushy out!!you look different that way!

  • you have a good look i could use you in my agy.!

  • u should check out taren913 i think is her username video about flat ironing she went to the professional on how to do it to avoid heat damage

  • I love your blowout! It looks couture!

  • Girl I love ur hair I'm tryna go natural

  • @thekglifestyle I think when I am completely natural we will be hair twins :)) lol iam at 10 months post and I am not BCing, hopefully I will become natural SOON, hahaha. I love your videos, your hair is inspiring :)

  • i liked your hair a lot after you blew it out...you really didn't cut much off, i thought you did a good job:)~

  • Beautiful hair!

  • Nice , what font is that ?

  • you coild do pincurls

  • you still lok pretty. you'll be aight :D

  • TIP: yeah..to avoid that mishap of cutting your ends uneven, i clip them while i flat iron! :)

  • (continued) ...when it's flat ironed : )

  • I like this video so much, following your journey is my tv, is that weired? Whatever! Love the big hair blown out, I would so do that. I wished that when you had cut the first piece, you stopped and did everything correctly, but we've all been there when we just go with the flow recklessly lol, youre still beautiful, your hair is freaking awesome. since it's alil uneven, throw some rollers in there and you're good, no one will notice

    : )

  • @netferzwife LOVE IT! LOL! I am definitely going to play around with some rollers next! Thanks! :)

  • loved the blowdried, big look! do you ever do twist/braid outs right after the blow dry and skip the flatironing?

  • @NaturalSoleil I haven't tried that yet! I need to do that. Will definitely make a vid when I do! :)

  • Very pretty!

  • lol love the bloopers and vid....blowed out hahaha you have an awesome since of humor

  • I say, let it be. As long as the damaged ends are gone, your hair looks fine. Plus, when you wear it curly, it won't matter that it's a little uneven.

  • i say get some layers..

  • SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

  • Love your hair glad that is growing the way you want it to. It looks healthy keep up the good work.

  • Quick Question: What video editing software do you use??

    (BWT Great Vid)

  • @tavie2is4u Thanks. iMovie '11

  • I will get one or the other of my sisters to trim my hair in the back. My mom would do it too. None of them are stylists but I TRUST them to not butcher me as much as I've butchered myself. I usually do the front myself. I am a "straight across" kind of girl so as long as it looks *mostly* even, I'm good. I know some naturals like to trim hair at any length but since I like to wear my hair straight, even is important to me. It will take longer but I will get to and EVEN waist-length some day!

  • Fav...the bloopers are hilarious! Love those! Anywho...of course I had a day when I chopped my hair off recklessly. It happens to a lot of us when we just become too fed up with the issues. For me it was split-ends. Just as everyone has said...bump or curl the ends. You can pin-curl at night to get lovely curls the next day. Your hair will just look like you meant for it to have layers! I am gradually growing out the layers again and I trim straight across to have things look neater. TRIM!

  • @anniegracie101 LOL, I agree. I'm a reckless chopper myself. We all do it. I just let it be, until it grows back. I'm not too concerned with it being even, I'm more concerned with it being healthy. Her hair looks just fine

  • P,S...please treat yourself to a hair STYLIST to trim your hair. LOL.

  • OMG...at 2:13 my mouth fell open. Your hair is bomb right there! Imma need you to rock that spec. And your make up is Cuuuute! Owwww!!! lol

  • im a little confused. didnt u JUST make a video like a few weeks ago on this same exact thing?

  • @hairnmakeuplvr Nope. This is the first time I flat ironed after I cut my hair.

  • Thank you all for the feedback and suggestions! I will not get my hair cut professionally. Next time I flat iron I will bump the ends and post an update. Sticking to my regimen. More videos to come! Stay tuned!

  • it really doesn't look bad. it looks like it would if your layers were growing out your layer. i dont believe anyone would notice unless you told them.

  • That's nothing that body curls at the ends can't solve (just be sure to go light on the heat of course)

  • if your recovering from heat damage why are you still using heat?

  • @DayeDayeX I really have to post a video on this. It is VERY possible to use heat without getting heat damage. I incurred heat damage in the past because I wasn't using protectants, flat ironed very frequently and was not nurturing my hair. I started taking care of my hair this year and have flat ironed 7-8 times with no noticeable heat damage. My regimen has allowed me to embrace my hair's versatility.

  • your hair looks good , :)

  • Your hair looks fine, I would let it be, let it grow. God Bless.

  • Your hair looks great girl! but like a lot of the viewers have already said, just leave it alone, unless you plan on wearing it straight a lot. It it's bothering you that bad though, get it fixed while your hair is still straight. It really doesn't look as bad as you think!

  • It still looks just as beautiful!

  • It depends on how you plan on wearing your hair. If you style like ususal it is not so noticeable. If you keep it straigtened, then yes you can see how uneven it is. I say. LEAVE IT ALONE, it is beautifull!

  • hair looks nice.

  • Your hair is still BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • It depends on if you plan on wearing it straight alot. If not, I wouldn't get it fixed, but if you are, I would.

  • Check out: bglhonline(dot)com/2011/10/how-to-see-and-trim-split-ends-without-heat

  • The blowout is gorgeous, that's a great look on you! The heat damage isn't as bad as before! I wouldn't cut it, just continue what you're doing. Great vid!!!

  • Wait until it grows some more then cut it yourself after straightening it. You don't wear it straight all the time so it is fine.

  • I think you should stick to your schedule of trimming, don't be too quick to hurry up and "fix" anything. You should also decide if you are going to do the trimming or is someone else. Don't go back and forth. If you are the one who will trim, just realize there is a learning curve to figuring out how to trim and in the beginning you will make mistakes. I would choose your uneven ends over my tapered ends. I don't trim and now split ends are creeping up and so now I have to go to a pro.

  • And that blowout is the business !

  • Since you wear your hair straight often, I would get a trusted professional to cut it only if you wear it straight on the ends. A simple soft bump would take care of the problem though. By the way, I am a new subscriber and a new transitioner ( 8 weeks) and I love your style. I really thank you for your diligence. Keep up the great work.

  • You probably would need it shaped a tas but it looks good i would just wait til it gets a bit longer so if u do go get it shaped your not oveewhelmed if it feels to short... also if you look throughout youtube their are easy ways to give yourself layers but again wait for it to get a bit longer.

  • KG, your blown out hair looks bomb! That can be a new hairstyle for you.

  • i don't think your hair looks bad. A professional will end up hacking all your hair off.

  • you should wear it blown out lol

  • I love your blow-out hair!!! Soooooo pretty!!!!!

  • Please do not go and let a "proffesional" butcher your hair! Your hair looks healthy and full. If anything maybe just go back to your rod sets fir a few months then reacess

  • Your blown out fro looks sooo pretty on you!! If u can rock that you definitely should. As for the pieces you have some people already mentioned bumping the ends under which would help mask that. If all else fails just trim little by little away (when hair is straight!) until its even again :-)

  • How have you changed your straightening routine post-heat damage? I just came out of a transition and would like to wear my hair straight every once in a blue moon but I'm terrified of ruining my newly all-natural hair...

  • I think your hair looks fine!!! It actually does have a layered look! If you gave it a small bump under, it would look just fine :D Dont fret, it looks great! Just curve the flat iron under when you come to the bottom half. Good luck on your continued hair journey!

  • I love love love your hair blown out!! Looks gaw-jus!! I think you should get an even cut, or curl your ends so they look better.

    @UKnaturals -Rachy

  • I'm a late night Youtuber, and I came across your videos randomly and I really just wanted to say that I love the positivity of your videos on your youtube and your website! I have locs but your hair videos are great too!

  • u look sooo gorgeous with your afro
