  • Such an underrated and lovely piece and you took what you could do with it and made music out of it too. bravo

  • It's amazing so much talent could come from a fat ugly tub of krap =)) That's Y U R not famous I guess. + U R boring, unlike Meatloaf, who is dramatic in presentation. U R more like a statue, & of course the fashion.

  • @DuralastTurbo XD I like the way you think.

  • @DuralastTurbo really? Fuck off.

  • @hairlessdog101 Everything I say is obvious & correct, just like the fact U must B fat & ugly, as they typically do your retarded 'kill-the-messenger' dance instead of growing a spine & gaining control of their own damn arms so they stop shoveling house-loads of krap into their face 2 become 'land whales' like the cat in this clip.

  • Love it! You are truly gifted, dexterously. But always keep in mind - it is all about the pacing, Brother. Milk it... breathe it out of your longing soul, own it, play it as if you were birthing it before us... Dōmo arigatō, Mr. Legato! :)

  • Isn't it this that piece Rachmaninoff used to play for warming up?

  • thank you RozarSmacco. now i have to pick my jaw up from off the ground!!!

i have NEVER seen sumone move there fingers so fast on a keyboard!!!

  • @biggydoggsjj Really ?? lol you haven't listening alot have you?

  • oh my god, wow!

  • I don't understand, I'm awestruck! How and where do you find the time to be a such a virtuoso guitarist AND pianist and an accomplished mathematician!!

It would seem it would take 16 hours a day from age 3 to get to that level!! :-S

  • Wow, bravo Marshall, what a dude...

  • this piece is great fun to watch

  • Marshall, your technical abilities on these instruments is scary. Guitar alone is scary enough, but being able to do something of this level on piano is truly terrifying. Well done!

  • a big gulp and an extremely technical piano piece. nothing like that combination.

  • Any guitarists want to transcribe this piece for economy/legato guitar?

  • @RozarSmacco

Hmm... I would try. The only problem is figuring out the right fingering. Just send me the notation and I'll see what I can do.

  • @RozarSmacco Ummn ..No..But..we would SURE love to hear your guitar take on it!

  • @RozarSmacco ... how about Marshall Harrison, he' rather good at that sort of thing, or so I have heard ;)

  • Ok...This settles it for me,I'm getting a keyboard!...Great work,man ;)

  • I use a ECONOMY ideas from guitar on the piano! to play this very difficult etude. Jazz pianists have been doing it forever ie sliding from black to white keys. I find that this technique saves much trouble especially during the left hand arpeggios in the middle section. But there's lots of right hand sliding too throughout the entire piece. Plus it adds a certain graceful natural legato to the overall sound. Economize your Motion (everywhere!)

  • i used to think that you are mainly a guitarist but after watching this video im not sure anymore! btw, you are one of the guitarists who really inspired me to become an economy picker :P

  • By day, he was a mild mannered math fan....by night...a musical tour de force...it's SuperMarshall. :D

  • First time I hear this etude and I'm very impressed. Wonderfully played Marshall. Have you played any of the Blumenfeld etudes?

  • I was looking forward to another piano video by you. And here it is!

How is the transcriptions for guitar going lately? I'll love to see Chopin's Scherzo No 3 played on electric guitar by you. Especially the soft part where he descends on the piano. I can imagine the legato playing on that part. :D

  • What the hell? The utmost respect to you Mr Harrison. An amateur playing the Paul de Scloezer etude op1 no 2, that's something I wouldn't expect to see.

What's next? Alkan's concerto for solo piano?

  • @PolyakovAction many many thanks. As a matter of fact, it's true I have been practicing the third mvt of Alkan's Concerto for solo piano lately! LOL

  • @RozarSmacco

    wow.

    want hear.

  • WHATABURGER

  • youre my hero. a complete polymath!

  • That was amazing.

  • Your hands move with such fluidity, delicacy and elegance. it's beautiful.

  • nice job marshall
