People aren't born with a parenting instruction manual; everyone struggles with the decisions they make for their children like discipline and separating out their time, especially with the pressure to be Superparents. The boys are just behaving as little boys do; like any young children do. Going on Supernanny is less about the "bad behaviour" of the children and more about the struggling of their parents, I think.
I know Bryce! I go to school with him and was in his 5th grade class. I can see how rude these comments are both boys are grown up now so people shouldn't be giving them crap.
These poor Brycie is made a criminal of, but it is nothing special that brothers have arguments. Of course it's not right what he does but this mat won't make it any better! He's doing it to get attention, and he gets furious, and I can totally imagine how he feels.
It's a child, it is normal and the mother should go and sleep more and then be a bit more relaxed.
The worst thing you can do is writing mean things about him because you really hurt them. Please stop it!
It means if the child is 4 years old, you put the child on the stool for 4mins, nothing more/less. 5 years old = 5mins. 3years old = 3mins. :) Of course, as they get older, the stool isn't as effective so a different strategy should be used.
I think it's cool the way you know supernanny will bring in a naughty something, but sometimes it a zone, a chair, a step, a rug!! I like the way it's a surprise what the naughty something will be!! :)
some kids are just agro. they need proper discipline usually, and not drugs. that should be the LAST resort. you would probably think my kid is adhd if she had a softy mommy. she's lucky that i am a strict mom who inforces rules and means no when she says it. due to my parenting my crazy lil 4 year old respects and minds me because she knows there are serious consiquences. it's just following through with what you say you will do and not making threats. make promises :) it's not THAT hard :)

At 1:30 the child has shoes on, when he was pushing his brother just before he was barefoot. Did he put his shoes and socks to go to timeout? I see some staging going on.
but then that just shows a kid that it's okay to hit somebody who's weaker. It's really unhealthy, and it can do serious psychological damage to a kid even if it's just once.

ok. so tell me how sitting a kid down on a naughty mat, naughty step, zone , cube , X , time out, chair, whatever gonna discipline a kid. you gotta be tough right? you want your kids to be well behaved. well you have to show no mercy by showing your children that you dont bullshit around when it comes to good behavior.
sitting a kid down and separating them from the group/their toys/etc is a painless way of getting them to actually REFLECT upon what they just did. An authoritative voice is enough to show who's in charge.. You NEED to show your kid mercy and patience so they can learn from their mistakes and not just grow up feeling that they're going to get physically hurt if they mess up... which is just not good because life is full of mistakes.
I am a Canadian man of Asian ancestry and I am completely disgusted by exactly that prevailing uncivilized attitude that you espouse. Civilized Society have progressed higher than that. I know exactly the kind of attitude that self righteous thinking can lead to and my Chinese FOB of a piece of garbage father completely F*CKED up my life with that. I'm 22 years old and I am still trying to get back the dignity and integrity of my mind body and spirit that mentality almost destroyed my life with.
Furthermore, if you ever wish for men of Asian ancestry such as you and I to be considered truly civilized and respectable in the world, and not just an reclusive, superstitious, ignorant, and ultimately stupid and unworthy of respect and equality group of barbarians, you should no longer espouse that kind of abusive resort, else you drag the rest of us in stereotype, racism, of ignorance and unworthiness of respect.

If they are e.g. 3 years old, they have to sit there for 3 minutes. One minute for every year ^^
