Critics can bite me. I did most of that myself using two controls, which resulted in the limited maneuvers you see. I did a test run video in coop using the Falken. That one was a little less coordinated but is what it'd look like if players tried it themselves instead of using two controls. Won't be making any more videos of Ace until they release one on the PSP. They announced Assault Horizon, let's just hope it follows through and doesn't end up on xbox only.

No, the wingmen in these games don't copy your moves, they just follow you, pretty loosely at that. HAWX wingmen tend to imitate your moves but at an unrealistic level. (They're like magnets)

There isn't an airshow mode. This is just a million recorded battle replays (vs mode) that I recorded with a PC capture card, then spliced together into one movie with windows movie maker. Took a whole day, but was worth it.

Namco's Project Aces team are Japanese, and they're much closer to Spain than Mexico. It's purely a design choice, and it worked well in Zero.

In America there's Heroes of the Pacific (WWII sim, I have like one or two videos up for this), and Aero Elite: Combat Academy, which is a sim. In PAL regions there's Energy Airforce, and Energy Airforce: Aimstrike! (I have videos for those too)

Well, the video info' description says it all. I played it on vs mode, two players - by myself, one controller in each hand, and tried not to crash. :P The video was recorded into a lot of clips thanks to the replays that play after battle. There were nearly a thousand clips, and it took almost a full day of editing - my first really big project of that nature. This is the end result. Never got around to making the sequel, Namco disheartened me with their faggotry. Moved on.

Incorrect. None of these clips use single player AI, all are created using two controllers. The single player AI also can't follow you that closely at all. In the Holiday Demo that was released in PSM for Ace Combat 5 however, the AI could follow you through barrel rolls and all sorts of manuevers.

There's not a whole lot to it. Fly fast, or fly real slow. The slower you are the wider the turns you'll need to make to avoid missiles and to shake off enemies trailing you - flying fast however can outrun some missiles, and is good for hitting targets before they put up defenses, such as boss type craft, submarines, giant airships, and even enemy aces when coming in blazing head-on.

i bought it half price and it still cost me about 25 euros. Zero is not too much of an improvement, but it also isn't worse. Zero focuses more on dog fighting and avoids canyon flights and escort missions you may have found in 5. But in return, zero is only 20 missions, so relatively short. Still it is what you would expect from a Ace combat game, and that is all it needs.

Amazing controlling. Its really hard to even keep the distance between two planes flying straight. And this guy is just making it seem easy. And it looks like as if it's just 1 guy controlling both planes. Real smooth. I recommend watching BF2 airstunts too, if you like watching this kind of things.

Btw, I'm really disappointed at NAMCO for not even making a PS3 version of AC6. I bet my PS3 that it would be better on the PS3. Damn NAMCO

It's a timed exclusive, it's not in Namco's contract to state it's going to be released on any other platform until the contract expires - otherwise it's advertising, and can hurt the sales on the 360 platform. Thing is, Ace6 sucks so bad it might hurt Namco to spend money to release it on the PS3. It could be canned entirely.

Zero was okay. The added 'character actor' element was nice, hasn't been done in a long while in video games, but the story was kind of stupid and unrealistic. Pixy's motivations seemed really arrogant, and poorly developed. He wanted the war to come to an end, and right when one side was going to win he decided to prolong things. Plus PJ was a complete waste. From what I hear, Ace 6's story is much much worse. 5 still gets the 'best of' award on that note.

I do the game in an Eagle(F-15C),and I manage to crash in a Berkut(SU-47).If you're good flying with the Tiger(F-5E),it's as good as anybody's plane.

Project Aces IS NAMCO. It's a group of their developers that they have consistently working on the Ace Combat series, though some of them also work on Ridge Racer. (Anybody remember Axe and Hammer from there too?)
