@janewillow1 Poeple generally hate on F2P because most of the F2P crowd is made up of people that know little to nothing about TF2, and are only now trying it because it is free. As such, the majority of the F2P crowd also stinks and make annoying mistakes. For example, more than once I've heard an F2Per asking for free Hats, and I'm sure you can see how that's not going to yield results. The annoying part? They don't usually stop when told no.

tl;dr -- F2P is mostly whiny people who are bad.

@croabadark I'm F2P, (except the Mann Co stuff I bought) and I'm gonna personally say, I SUCKED. But I've been wanting TF2 ever since it came out for Xbox, because I didn't know about Steam. But once I heard about Steam I learned more about the actual game. I've never asked for free hats or anything once I got the game. If someone wanted to give me something kindly I would say 'Sure' or something, but I would always give them something in return. And most people hated on me for being F2P.

I know that not all F2P players are as annoying as described, but a lot of them are, and as around 95% of the players of this game are narrow-minded (F2P and P2P alike), all F2Pers are generally seen as annoying. That's not to say they all are, of course. You, for example, didn't take on the annoying habits we see in most F2Pers. But like I said... narrow-minded Humans tend to group everyone in the same category. I'm sorry, but that's how Humans work.

But again, you are right. F2P players don't see the full quality of the game, unlike P2P. Because P2P can do trades and everything like that first thing. While F2P players can't. I truly wish I could of bought the game sooner before it came out to be F2P on Steam. But do you have a Steam account?

Why would I welcome them? When I give them advice, they insult me or ignore me flat out. Playing on and against teams full of them, makes me sick of playing TF2. TF2 is boring now. Not in all the years it's been out, have I ever experienced boredom while playing this game.

Better F2P examples:

Pyro charges at you, ignites you, fails to use axetinguisher or air compression, dies.

Enemy Spy bumps into you, looks at you intently for 5 seconds while you heal him. Dies.

Enemy Sniper thinks their SMG can actually kill and sprays everywhere. Dies.

And number 1: the 90% of all F2P medics who do not know what Uber is.

@Oremir I'm considered a below-average "old" player, but thanks to all these F2Ps, I just had a game where I was the top, had 200 points and 6 dominations.

I had a sentry with 30+ kills because none of the F2Ps bothered to uber-charge, use spies or coordinate their attacks to take our my super-sentry.

And during offense, the 5 enemy engies built their sentries at exposed and vulnerable locations and were quickly taken out by me.

Normally, I'm at the bottom of the list at skill but then ...
