  • the one thing that makes me cry, is the WELL YOU CAN HURRY UP AND LOOSE ME! when Donna yells that i feel like killing her!

  • You missed the one in Human NAture when he was showing the Matron his "Journal of Impossible Things" and he had a picture of Rose.

  • Comment removed

  • That made ms cry. People should use the part where the lady in black says the " distant rose" bit and he says " that name keeps me fighting!"

  • Donna really understood the Doctor's love for Rose, she seemed so happy to have met her at the end of season 4. I really wish they could have been friends for longer...

  • "Why would a man hide his title in such despair?" --That's an interesting observation!

  • I love how you've used less obvious references to her, and not just the ones where she's mentioned by name. Great vid!

  • i can't hear well over the music but thank you for the edits :(

  • Poor Martha! He tells her she gets one trip and she can't replace Rose. He's so adamant, I feel very sorry for Martha. It spoils her fun. Actually, I'd feel sorry for anyone who comes right after Rose, really. I've enjoyed all the companions, surprisingly enough, and just as much as I've enjoyed all the doctors. The shift is a bit of getting used to, but I love to see the way they make it all work switching things up with the new Doctors and the new companions. Very clever and fun show.

  • @wjdebbi I know! Martha is a great companion, and Freema Agyeman is a good actor, but coming after Rose, what chance did either of them have! Both the Doctor and the audience were too busy mourning Rose to really appreciate how awesome Martha was! First time through I hated Martha just because she wasn't Rose. Now I've rewatched, I think she's brilliant, but gosh it was an effort to let go of the grief long enough to do so!

  • Personally, I don't really like Rose. I see why Rose was important, and she was definetly a help to the Doctor, helping him to smile again. She just bugged me...

  • I love this video! It's edited really well! I love how at 1:24, the Doctor sniffles and goes back under his shell. Well, I don't love it, 'cos he's in pain, but I love the way it shows his love and want for Rose. All around, GREAT!

  • @ALPisinfactaPenName hi, one question... is the doctor ever going to see rose again? or be with her? :)

  • The music ruins it, but it's a good video

  • Thank you for uploading this. I wish the background music was a tad lower because it makes the dialog really hard to hear sometimes.

  • I'm sorry, but I just never liked rose. even tho she was in the first DW episode I've ever watched.

  • Am I the only one who liked Donna as a Dr Who companion? Yes, Rose was this or that but at the end of the day Dr Who is a kiddie show. I had a lot of trouble trying to explain the whole Rose thing to my young boy.

  • @mrsotter19 I *LOVE* Donna. She's great.

  • @ALPisinfactaPenName Yay! Somebody understands...(tears up).

  • @mrsotter19 I didn't quite comprehend that some people didn't like Donna until I met someone who didn't, lol.

  • @ALPisinfactaPenName I think all Dr.Who's companions have their merits, you know? Rose was sweet and helped the encarnation of the Dr.Who who was bitter and lonely. Then Martha was very clever and was there for the doctor who was so sad over the loss of Rose. Donna was a 'mate' (and the only one who could possibly outtalk David Tennant).

  • Really good. Almost cried.

  • Nicely done! Best put together clips of The Doctor! Big fan of all the Doctor Who's but I've got to say love how they (Writers/Producer) put this heartwarming and subtle romance between The Doctor and Rose.

See what I did there, gave a compliment and didn't feel the need to slag other companions? ;> I mean you looking at a person that watch Doctor Who from Tom Baker to Sylvester Mccoy, thank you PBS! So there you have it love Doctor Who period full stop. :) My favorite companion? All. ;>

  • OMG love it (:

    Dr/Rose forever :D

  • Love it! :D

  • so sad (in a good way)

  • poor martha jones...

  • Seriously, I don't get the people who don't like Rose. Guys, he loves her. He has traveled with a lot of people, but very few of them did he love with both his hearts, completely and utterly. Rose had such an impact on him -- an impact that will never leave him. She helped him, changed him, and loved him in return -- something he NEEDED. And he'll always love her.

Bad Wolf ♥ The Oncoming Storm

  • @DiscipleoftheBlueBox That's all fine, but just because the Doctor loves her doesn't mean I have to. Really, my emotion towards Rose is more along the lines of 'jealousy'. Because, darnnit, I wanted Ten to love /me/. Furthermore, River Song is incredibly more amazing than Rose ever was.

  • @NevillesGran1 Are you kidding me? River Song stinks. She has some pretty badass lines in there, sure. But, might I say, she's bizarrely tedious. It's like she's EVERYONE. I swear, series 7 comes and we'll find out she was Rose at one point, too!

  • @ALPisinfactaPenName How is River "everyone"? She's Melody Pond, daughter of Rory and Amy Williams, and that's it. Rose was always more someone the Doctor had to protect and save, but River can not only save herself but possibly him as well, all while they flirt. She can match him, instead of just hanging along.

  • @NevillesGran1 @NevillesGran1 She's only Melody Pond, yes, but Melody Pond seems to pop up everywhere in different forms. She's Professor River Song, River Song the mysterious criminal, River Song the woman who killed the doctor, Rory and Amy's friend Melody, baby Melody Pond, the little girl from Impossible Astronaut, so on and etc. Also, isn't the fact that she can match the Doctor a little off-putting in and of itself?

  • @ALPisinfactaPenName Yes, she's all those people, but they're all her. She has different sides to her personality, like a well-built character, and we see her differently and confusingly because we met her in the wrong order and half the time she's lying about who she is. (Because of aforementioned wrong-order meeting.) And I love that she matches him. Don't you ever get a little tired of him being so high above everyone else? "It's lonely at the top" goes the saying. I want him to not be lonely

  • @NevillesGran1 He's called the Lonely God for a reason. The show focuses on this mysterious genius of an alien by comparing him to everyday characters we can relate to, the companions. What's the point of the show if he's not on the top and the companions can match him? He might as well just become one of the companions himself. I'm not trying to be soulless and say I want the Doctor to be lonely, but that is sort of the whole point of the show.

  • @DiscipleoftheBlueBox I hate Rose because she is so dependent on the Doctor and is such a bitch to people who like the Doctor or the Doctor liked such as Sarah jane, she also doesn't care for anyone other than the Doctor

  • Omigoodness, this is SO beautiful! I love it SO much. It's so sad that, even though we know he loves Rose, we really don't see it until after she's gone.

This totally made me cry :'(

    "What's good about sad?"

    "It's happy for deep people."

  • Comment removed

  • Another Rose reference I like is where the Doctor says "If there is one thing I believe in, I believe in her'. That's so beautiful. <3

  • Comment removed

  • I love Rose<3 I miss her sooo much!!!! I also miss David Tennant<3 those two were my favorite <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

  • I find it funny when people are like "OMG WHY SO MUCH ROSE" Um he was with her for 28 hours of screen time, double of most companions besides the current set. Any companion that last that long tends to leave an impact on him, look at Amy and Rory with 11th. They are a family, while 9/10 with Rose fell in love with her. I personally love how rose still echoes in the series.I wish we had more mention of the earlier companions though. They were all so good.

  • Lovely video, very sad tho :-(

  • These Rose references are one of the few reasons I can't stand Series Three unfortunately. Decent compilation though.

  • @Emgee78 He loved her. To him, she was the Alpha and the Omega.

  • @saraphite Boring. She was there at a time he was severely hurting, that I understand. She isn't the first and the last companion he'll ever have. This is why I prefer asexual!Doctor.

  • @saraphite completely agree. best counter posible.

  • @Emgee78 Says you. To Rose/Doctor shippers she's awesome. So shove it.

  • I LOVE THIS LOVE THIS!!!! MAKES ME WANNNA CRY : (

  • why would they tell the greatest love story ever and then just let it crumble. In order to keep watching doctor who, I have tot tell myself that personality as well as likes and dislikes change entirely. The 11th doctor may have fond memories of Rose, but he doesn't love her as a DIRECT result of his regeneration.

  • This was beautiful! Thank you for posting!

  • Ah, you missed one. It was from Utopia, I think, when Jack Harkness talks about Rose with Martha.

  • "we were together..." waahhhhhh!!!! so sad!

  • at 4:26 what was that episode?

  • Comment removed

  • The way her says "we were together... anyway" just breaks my heart. =(

  • thats what annoy's me about river. when the actress does interviews saying she is the first women to kiss the doctor/the doctor be in love with. what about rose?

  • you where wrong that name keeps me fighting ... i think rose will be the doctors only true love :')

  • i love rose and the doctor

  • MY CREYS

  • Ahhh, that just made me cry so much. BUT IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL! The poor Doctor just needs a big hug... well, that and Rose back in his life. Wonderful video.

  • What episode is that last scene from?

  • @violetsarntblue The Shakespeare Code

  • i miss rose.

  • Comment removed

  • you should add the bit from Human Nature, when the doctor dreams about Rose even when he's human and doesn't know who he is

  • what does he say after "can't be helped" ? around 3:48?

  • @pitabread12 He says "you're a novice, nevermind"

  • it's great but the music it too loud

  • i dont know why but i really like donnas smile at 2:20

  • He loved her always had & always will. Too bad he never had the guts to say it. Well at least he mentioned her unlike he never did Sarah Jane.

  • ohh god i ship it so hard.

  • Comment removed

  • This was my least favourite parts of series 3. In almost every episode it felt as if the doctor was wining and complaining that rose was gone! It gets worse when other companions leave him. I can assure you, 10 was a good doctor but at the end, he was a bit too emo

  • this is so sad.

  • So, *so* sad....

  • "I spent Christmas Day just over there, the Powell Estate, with this... family. My friend she had this family, well they were..."

The way he says it (and doesn't say it) makes me think that he felt like a part of Rose's family.

    ~

  • Even in Season 5, and A Christmas Carol (especially in A Christmas Carol) there was the obscure, once in a blue moon reference to Rose. If you think about it, in the Big Bang, the next place he likely would have ended up as he went back through his life would have been where he saw Rose one last time in 2005. I think he thought it would have hurt too much to see it again. There were the blatant references to Rose in A Christmas Carol( the one more day with your beloved remark).

  • Doctor Who just wasn't the same when Rose left.

Literally the only reason why I kept watching every week was to see if the Doctor would reference her.

  • what episode is 3:24 from?

and what episode is 3:57 from?

and does anyone know what episode it is where Martha says 'why does he have to go and love a human, a human that isn't me.'

or something like that. any ideas?

  • @hazagracex 3:24 and 3:57 are both from The Shakespeare Code which is the 2nd episode of Series 3 and the quote is from Human Nature/The Family of Blood in Series 3, Martha says it when she's in the TARDIS after witnessing "John Smith" and Joan Redfern

  • this made me sad, I was so glad when Rose returned :)

  • I love how even after Rose is gone, the Doctor doesn't forget her. I don't think he ever _can_ forget her, not entirely. He loved her with both of his hearts, with everything he had. He never could say it, but it's obvious from everything he does, everything he says, that he does. Not to mention the handful of times he came this close to saying it. The Doctor will always love Rose, they were and are the perfect pair. The stuff of legend.

  • 1:20 super pout

  • Rose is my favourite companion, no doubt about it.

And she was clearly definitely the Doctor's too.

It's so sad how he lost her, Bille Piper + David Tennant have so much chemistry.

I'm glad they added in all these little references to her as it shows she won't be forgotten.

Thanks for this video! Love it. :) ♥

  • I didn't like the music in the background. It got distracting pretty quickly. Otherwise a great video, though. Poor Rose...poor doctor... D:

  • you can see that after only a short time of being with the doctor he made dona a better person just like rose did for him.

  • "there's something i'm missing, something close, starring me right in the face and i can't see it" i know exactly how you feel.

  • This made me cry, even though Rose wasn't my favorite companion.. David's just so terrific. <3

  • "It's staring me in the face..."

Yes it is, Doctor! I know he was still hung up on the amazing Rose, but poor Martha...

  • @geistjagerin Eh-I never got into the whole Doctor and Martha thing. There are people who wanted them to end up together, but I think they would have been a horrible couple. He was always so cruel to her. Martha deserved alot better than him.

  • the first clip. it's so sad. his expression and voice. his whole self seems to sag under the weight and grief of loosing Rose. David Tennant's such a wonderful actor.

you could have gotten rid of the background song, it interrupts a little with the rest of the sound.

1.32, i'm not sure that clip is a reference to Rose in any matter.

2.03, Donna's face says it all. she's so caring.

  • so sad. Lets all shed a tear

  • So sad, why did Rose have to go :'(

  • This made me cry... :*(

  • Brilliant! Just totally, utterly brilliant. I can't even really say how much I loved it, it was just awesome. I've been very, very slow watching season 3 because it depresses me that there's no Rose, but videos like this always remind me that even though Rose isn't there, she's still in the Doctor's hearts and he'll never forget her. This vid made me cry a bit, but I loved it anyways. :)

  • @PigPenguin91

Finally someone put hearts instead of heart. Thank you!

  • This was amazing. Great job.

  • Gah, I'm such a child, I'm holding back tears now! I LOVED the Doctor and Rose, and I couldn't help blaming Martha for being jealous of the magnificent Rose and wanting to replace her... Still, Catherine Tate is great in these clips and she was great in season 4.

  • poor doctor

  • This way so touching, I can't stop crying!

  • Loved it. Made me cry. Goes to show just how special she was to him. That none of the others could ever mean as much or make him forget her for a second. I miss Rose. She was my favorite companion. She and the Doctor made the best pair ever. They were the sweetest couple. I can't believe that he never says out loud, that you hear, that he loves her. But you can definitely tell he does. It doesn't need saying, but it sure as heck would be nice if it was said.

  • ohhhh, I love this :) He loved her soso much and they were the sweetest couple in all the known universes. I love the fact he said that him and rose were 'together' and he considered them his family :) My fav.bit still has to be with the witch, he gets so upset and angry ! 'But your heart grows cold, and the north wind blows and carries down the distant rose' :)

  • @flyliketails

    No, it's really not.

  • @flyliketails

And she was also in the 2006 Doctor Who christmas special called 'Runaway Bride' which was set between series 2 and 3.

  • @THEpowerOFme Ok, good point, I forgot about that, no need to get mad lololol

  • @flyliketails no it wasnt it was the christmas special, runaway bride

  • @flyliketails no its not...

  • @flyliketails It's not, it's the runaway bride, before Martha's era.

  • @THEpowerOFme yes it is it the very beginning

  • @flyliketails whoa, brush up on you Doctor Who mate.

  • @flyliketails This is the first episode of season 3 after Rose is gone and before Martha is taken on as the partner. Donna doesn't come back until season 4, so I can see where you got confused.

  • @flyliketails how is it!

  • @therobloxianfilmgang read the comments idiot.

I admitted that I was wrong.

  • Did anyone notice how short the witch was to David? Great choice of music but what was with putting in time 1:31? Because that had nothing to do with Rose.

  • @DoctorWhoovian I think that although technically it doesn't have anything to do with Rose, when the Doctor looks all angsty and depressed, he's partially thinking of Rose. I also think it's a bit of a reminder that without Rose beside him he sometimes goes too far and forgets what he should be doing.

  • @PigPenguin91

Good point your nice I'm gonna send you an invite to be my friend. Please accept.

  • that was awesome .x

  • I wish the Doctor would have told her he loved her although he almost did in Doomsday

  • "There's something I'm missing Martha... something really close... staring me right in the face, and I can't see it."

    *Martha looks longingly*

"Rose would know! That friend of mine, Rose, right now she'd say exactly the right thing!"

    Poor Martha : (

  • :') this was beautiful. been looking for something like this. i love all the rose references.

  • Even though I think that the Doctor shouldn't really fall in love with his companions I really loved 10/Rose. They were just great together and I was bawling my eyes out at Doomsday. This was a good video and I wonder how long it would be if you had all of the Rose mentions in there....

  • "Rose, her name was, Rose. And... weweretogether, anyway." Aw...

  • Mm, kind of wish you'd made the vid after the rest of season three aired, cause there are a lot of other great references...

Other than that, I loved this! Really beautiful and touching and positively lovely. I adore Ten/Rose and miss them desperately.... Great job!

  • THis is lovely. I like the music - it brings the clips all together nicely.

  • I actually like it with the music. SIGH.

  • @mellowNdark

    exactly

  • poor doctor :-(

  • The music is a tad overpowering, but good otherwise.

  • I really wish that they would bring her back. For good.

  • was the doctor in love with rose?

  • To EricSimpsonFan09:

    Yes.

He could never say it, but yes. Completely and desperately.

  • The thing about the doctor and rose was that she was the only one who could equal him.

You know, like in that ep when they fight the werewolves and suddenly in the middle of the ep when they reunited, Rose exclaimed "werewolves!" and they laughed together. They were always on the same level.

I think I can understand why she had to go, 'cos they had no personal problem when they were together, like they where riding a high all the time.

    God, I'm overanalyzing!

  • wow. well that pretty much sums up their relationship, doesn't it? Those words are perfect. So simple and yet so powerful. Oh, I wish he could have told her. Their love story is amazing!

  • My lovely moments!

  • I love the bit where he goes " That name keeps me fighting!"

  • All right! You did it - you made me cry. Well, you and David Tennant. :)

  • This was so sweet! I'm glad you went back and did this. I've been meaning to, not necessarily with Rose references, but just some lovely continuity. Anyway, very sweet, I enjoyed it.

PS- 4:22 talk about a height difference!

  • i almost cried

  • Aww, i love that clip at 2:33 when he says 'Her name was Rose' and he sounds like he's gonna cry

  • so sad :(

  • David Tennant has puppy dog eyes

  • haha i know! it's brilliant.

  • that was a wonderful video. you did a great job. and i liked the last part. 'that name is the name that keeps me fighting'

    doctor who is amazing <3

  • i do feel sorry for martha sometimes.

but i love rose, and i always look for little mentions of her in episodes (:

  • @hannaaarrh I love Rose/Doctor, but I feel bad for Martha all the time. The Doctor was really cruel to her, but oh well she got over her crush and moved on. Good for her.

  • Aww this made me feel so sad. Great vid x

  • Thank you, I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. :) Thanks for commenting.

  • love this song R.Kelly if i could turn back time

  • Again you have an amazing talent...

  • It's only a montage, but thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. :) Thanks for commenting.

  • So sad.

  • @FacePimpd That series was actually about Martha and how she struggled to earn her place on the TARDIS and by the end of the season she got out of both Rose's and the Doctor's shadows. We got to see Martha grow and become really amazing and how she got over her crush on the Doctor. That season wasn't all about the Doctor and Rose. Only observing the Doctor it was because he missed Rose which is very understandable. Especially since he just lost her, but that season was about Martha.

  • whats the song you use?

    its lovely :)

    x

  • 'If I could Turn Back the hands of time' by R. Kelly

  • Lol I LOVE that part in the beginning with Donna xD that bit is so funny :P

  • I don't think it's a coincidence how close "lost" is to "love". As in "I lost her".

  • The first part where he says "Shes gone" Makes me so sad. :(

  • "Oh BIG MISTAKE, because that name keeps me fighting!"

    I love that bit.

  • Hell yeah. I thought he was going to start handing out the whoop ass there and then.

  • @Lozimia2 Gave me shivers the first time I saw that scene!
