I was wondering if there are any set hot keys where I can view the model normal to the front, top, and right planes. For example, in solidworks I can hit ctrl 1 through 7 to get the front, back, left, right, top, bottom, and iso.
@dalilpunk47 : in Creo Element (formerly Pro/ENGINEER) we use mapkey to do that. for example i use more intuitive keys,. v+f = front view, v+l = left view, v+r = right view, all of mapkeys to view the model begins with "v"
@dalilpunk47 : go to Tools ==> Mapkeys. insert the name of your mapkey, insert the key combination connected by "+" for example if you wan to use "v" and "f" the you have to write down v+f. then record your action in viewing each view (same as macro record in ms excel). finally save your mapkey. now you'll have a very convenience mapkey/hotkey :)
In solidworks i can usually knit all of the surfaces together at once and create a solid all in one feature. I was curious instead of merging the surfaces 3 separate times, can you merge them in one feature?
@dalilpunk47 yes you can, if you hold control and select all the surfaces you created plus your main surface you can merge them all at once. great question! if you would like a video reply of me showing this in action please let me know
those white dots you see are tang-ency controls, if you right click on the white dot you can change the way it is constraining the shape to tangent, curvature or normal. i leave it at default for almost everything
This is what I am talking about. Nice job dude. Now I understand how to use that feature. lol..btw, what are those while circles when you select a boundary? How do they affect your blend?
Can you do a tutorial on more curvy objects like a side view mirror or a car seat from start to finish?
Thx
