Rosalina, Daisy, and Zelda are the best princess's in the history of Video Games. I never liked peach, she is WAY to much of a Damsel in Distress/Mary Sue. Rosalina cares for stars and has awesome powers. Did you see Mario Party 3? Daisy sent Bowser flying!! She is a tomboy and LOVES sports. Zelda fends for herself and has Powers and is the only Princess I know that actually Fights WITH you in the Final Battle instead of being on the side of giving words of wisdom. I love characters like these.

@Kristy1463 Back when I was on an XP computer I had a device called adaptec gamebridge. It was $20 when I got it, but now it's like $70-ish and picky on later Window systems. (I've seen it work on Vista 32bit but not 64 bit, and I'm not sure on Windows 7) It hooked the game to my computer screen so I played it off there and recorded with it. I've done nothing special to the video quality; Mario Galaxy is just one of the prettiest wii games out so far. (Soon Skyward sword will be)

@Curimuch From the commercials Skyward Sword seems to be very lacking texture-wise and polygon-count-wise for a Wii game. The world in its entirety looks fine, but I'm referring to the insides of buildings I've seen.

- The Peach kidnapping cutscene

- This cutscene

- The pre-Bowser battle cutscene

I love this character.

Having a deep female character in a Mario game is a rarity in itself.

I'm so glad they gave us one for the Wii's debut Mario title.

Rosaline is one of the best female video game character around right now. She has a good backstory, she's nice and she doesn't get kidnapped like certain other Nintendo women.

Seriously, I would put her right up with Samus in terms of quality female video game characters.

@TheJboy88 Amen. I hate to sound like a creepy fanboy (which I'm not), but I was really impressed with the sheer quality of Rosalina's character, especially considering the fact that she came from a Mario game and from Nintendo, and we all know how those two don't care about story.

She actually had backstory (an surprisingly emotional one at that), is motherly, caring, gentle, graceful and overall extremely likable and not a worthless damsel.

I'm all for seeing more of her in the future.

I'd like to see a game where you play as Rosalina saving Mario, in a style that is like Super Mario Galaxy, something where you get like the observatories, the awesome power-ups would be great. Rosalina is a very interesting character because she is one of the few characters in the games that has a back story which can even be depressing. She is not a typical damsel in distress, she is the wise sage who cares for others and understands what life is like for those who are not immortal like her. She might be the best character Mario games offer to us.
