This is bboy crumbs in this video, he basically influenced almost every bboy that's around right now competing in the entire world, including the fact that he was one of the first guys who the Koreans followed in the power, strength, and trick style type of bboying they do.

This footage is stuff from the late 90's, to early 2000, and he does have longer sets,

The footage of Style Elements in BOTY 1997 was great with SuperDave and the others + Crumbs where they literally destroyed the german crew in the finals so even there you are at least by 1 years off, but he could dance just before 1997 as well.

Clearly stepasaur meant and explained it so, that he meant to most of the international world, he came "out of nowhere." Yeah, he was one year off, but think of it this way, BOTY tapes don't come out usually until a year after the event anyway, so most everyone who didn't go to the actual event and travel to Germany live, would have seen it in 1998 anyway.
