When i was 13 my father (a huge Beatles fan) put ALL their album on my iPod. I didn't really care for it, but i kept hearing it when my iPod was on random, and i became a fan too :P Now i'm 16 and i love all of their song <3
@MartingVEVO, It's a time (and space) machine from the popular UK telly show Doctor Who, which has been around since 1963, which is about an alien from the planet Galifray called the Doctor, who flies around with his friends in a blue box called the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space) fighting aliens and other fun stuff. If you are American then it probably sounds really bizarre, but it's really good. So if I had the TARDIS, then I could go back to the 60's and meet The Beatles. :D
The harmonies on this song just make it that much more poignant. Some of the best vocals from the Beatles were from these early songs. It's like they sucked helium sometimes! REALLY hard to pull off!

@QueeneyTodd Sorry, this isn't much consolation, but I talked to John Lennon, channelled through my sister shortly after his death. He talked non-stop for 20 minutes about upcoming Earth changes, which we recorded. Much of which has since come true to some extent. So much energy! An experience I will never forget! And right when the session ended, a light flashed outside so bright, night turned to day for a moment, then colored lights inside a cloud, then dark. Maybe a cloud ufo?

Its not a matter of kids today who have no taste in music. the music of today is thrust upon them, they do not choose what is released or created. Maybe its more correct to say the artists of today are not as talented. Take this song, done be the beatles when they were in their early 20's and not really one of their most famous songs. I can make out the main melody, and the low backing vocal, but I have a feeling there's another one... I can tell what it is in the verses, but I can't get the chorus... can anybody help?
@OfficialTSC Yes I see what you mean! In the chorus I hear the main melody on top starting on F#, closely tracked by a second vocal starting on D, possibly double-tracked to fatten the sound. Then when it gets to "and why you lie-ie-ied to me" I'm hearing a low note anchoring the other two parts. "And why you" sounds like G and "lie-ie-ied to me" sounds like A. What a complex and beautiful arrangement for a "filler" song! Hope that helps.

The drumming in this song is topnotch. Ringo was really an amazing drummer. His parts were relatively simple, but they fit the songs perfectly.

@xobeatlesxo909 That reminds me a lot of what it was like when I discovered the Beatles in 6th grade ('96). Everyone looked at me like I was crazy and was like, "You like The Beatles??" Later that same year we had a show in school that had several of The Beatles songs featured in it. Then all of a sudden everyone was like, "The Beatles sing that?!? I LOVE THAT SONG!... I LOVE THE BEATLES!" Most kids are just weird, they don't like what they don't know.

@xobeatlesxo909 The Beatles came to the USA (The Ed Sullivan Show), I was 8 years old. Even then, I thought they were the best group of any kind I had ever heard. I anxiously awaited each record as it was released until they broke up over 40 years ago -- you would think another band would have taken over the top spot... but none ever did. So, as I read your comment - it's very cool that today's teens are still diggin' on the best there ever was without their grandparents making them listen : )

I can make out the main melody, and the low backing vocal, but I have a feeling there's another one... I can tell what it is in the verses, but I can't get the chorus... can anybody help?

@OfficialTSC Yes I see what you mean! In the chorus I hear the main melody on top starting on F#, closely tracked by a second vocal starting on D, possibly double-tracked to fatten the sound. Then when it gets to "and why you lie-ie-ied to me" I'm hearing a low note anchoring the other two parts. "And why you" sounds like G and "lie-ie-ied to me" sounds like A. What a complex and beautiful arrangement for a "filler" song! Hope that helps.
