  • democrats have not only lost their way they have lost their morality- shame on all of you!!!!!

  • no sorrry but their are people who believe those loopholes shouldn't be closed - stupid fox, et all viewers.... i know i live in a community with a bunch of them - they honestly believe the bush taxcuts have done no harm!!!!!!!!!how do fight that????????

  • why people continue to vote against their own interests is mind boggling- and the dems just plain suck - we need to kick each and everyone of them out of office......why is patriotic to NOT PAY YOUR TAXES!!! YOU FUCKERS!!!!!!

  • The republicans WANT us to be broke because they WANT to end all of these programs. Nevermind the fact that they were wrong about them & these programs ALL WORKED. They hate them because it gives power to the working man, though some abuse it, or become dependent on govt. In this, I agree with the R's.

I'm all for making them better, but all the R's want is to end them.

Sorry. Not gonna happen, without a revolution. I'd back off if I were you.

    This could get ugly.

  • Ok, if your debt exceeds your available resources, and your debt is growing in interest faster than you are able to earn money, you may be able to keep on borrowing for a long time, digging yourself deeper in to debt, but eventually the wellspring of funny-money WILL run barren, and you WILL be left with debt when no one will lend you more funny-money to pay the interest on your previously accrued debt. At least some democrats from the past were cash & carry. Oh well, it's been a fun experiment!

  • 0:38 nor are you a democracy... your a republic something something... ask a smart american but its NOT a democracy

  • lol. how can you not be broke when you have 14 trilliion in foreign debt and a 100 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities? Maybe you dont want to face reality, but everyone else knows your broke.

  • @rolgorevene that's not what the "not broke" remarks are about. what they're saying is, is that the u.s. still have a lot of money reserves, namely rich people.. all they had to do is actually tax them instead of cutting spending for those who actually need the money.

  • @rolgorevene I owe some money on a credit card, but I still have money. I'm not broke. US debt (14 tril) to GDP is about 115%. Japans debt to GDP was 228% (unsure of now after recent incidents). The deficit isn't the end of the world. People are trying to make you scared. Think logically....

  • what do you call owing money to others you don't have?............broke.

  • One other thing: You speak about the wealthy not paying their fair share, but the real problem is about 50% of Americans don't pay any taxes.

  • Cenk, you are a fool. BRIC is no longer using US $ to trade amongst themselves. China has been dumping our bonds and buying massive amounts of Gold. The CBO has reported that SS and MediCare/Caid will go bankrupt in their current forms, SO WAKE UP!!! When does borrowing too much become a problem? You are so attached to Democratic ideals, and abhor anything Republican, that you are blinded to what is going on.

  • you are broke long before you stop being able to borrow money - america has a serious debt problem and no will to deal with it and no intention to pay it back - and when the people who lend you money finally realize they wont get paid back that is when they will pull out and the real hell (possibily war too) will break out. Argentina was once the richest country in the world per capita basis and long long financial stupidity caused them to default on their debt

  • There's a difference between, a little bit of debt, and having a debt that is larger than, your annual income x 10.

Also the Clinton-Era, "balanced budget" was part scam and part shut down. The War Resisters League has good info about the scam.

  • Poor and middle class keep voting for them and think tax cuts for the rich is a good idea that was the tea party movement all about.

  • I love the fact that they said its both the republicans and democrats who are screwing the American people. The fact is that our votes are being bought by the rich and powerful.

  • poor and middle class are being bitch slapped by democrats & republicans alike since the 60's.. no matter what little improvement has been done over the years, the system just gets the wealthy wealthier & the poor poorer if policies regulating the economy are being cast away by business owned professional politicans

  • Cenk is and idiot, you can steal all of the rich's money and we would still be in massive debt

  • @BorgKing001 Oh yeah, because he said we should "steel" all their money? No, he's talking about raising their taxes a bit....It's you who's the idiot, sir.

  • NO representation without TAXATION.

  • We are hearing the same old bollocks in England-the I.M.F are using their powers to undermine ALL western societies by 'lending' them money.

The public sector cuts and tax fraud situation in Britain is THE scandal in our economics.

So,thick Georgie Osbourne is targeting the poor and the disabled-really brave!

  • 760 US military bases around the world and a deregulated Wall Street (deregulated by

Clinton-Gore) is where the money goes !!

  • We should ALL be asking ourselves,"What king of people hoard trillions of dollars(Rothchilds and the like) and let the other three quarters starve to death, including children?"

  • Great line - "The hypocrisy of a multi-millionaire who made millions attacking capitalism"

Once agani - if you seized all the assets and all the wealth in this country you still could not come CLOSE to paying off the Federal Deficit.

We are now the biggest debtor nation in history.

  • ...we are. Not to mention he is basically taking his cues from a conspiracy theorists notorious for making Documentaries that have a lie every 10 secs & currently tours colleges giving speeches about 'the evil rich' & charging $30K a pop to do so. Even if this was the responsibility and/or fault of 'the rich' what exactly are they saying they should give more $ to the govt, for what? they already spent trillion, what will a few hundred million or billion do

  • WOW, so Obama takes office almost immediately spends TRILLIONS in stimulus which only seemed to make things worse, raised national debt by historic rates, China owns an alarming amount of our debt, our economy is in the shitter, unemployment is record high but according to this tool everything is great, but for anything that isnt clearly is the fault of the rich who he doesnt really say is their fault but only that their being selfish & not putting in their share. Its sad how dumb they think...

  • WOW, the astro-turfers are out in force on this message board!

If 'they' increased their efforts, Cenk must be doing something right.

  • Cenk and Michael Moore are socialist idiots. The US gov't is broke. The sooner the dollar fails...the sooner America can get back to basics. Protecting liberty...NOT policing the world, fighting drug wars, and other socialist programs.

Get it right people. The gov't can't take care of you. Fight for Freedom, less gov't, and no income taxes

  • @ScrewSocialism and they not even paying you for your brainwashed ramblings. Dang, they lucky really, to have so many easy targets doing their dirty work. God Bless America rite>?

  • @ScrewSocialism and by "they", in case you were confused, I mean Republican drones aka gov't ;)

Keep burying your own family alive... traitor.

  • @ScrewSocialism The government IS taking care of you! That's what it's for, that's why we have social security, to keep the elderly from starving. That's why we have public education, so your children can have a chance at a decent job. Cenk and Michael Moore are fighting for YOU, for YOUR democracy! It's not just "the" government, it's OUR government, by the people, of the people, for the people, and that's why the super rich want to abolish it and the democracy it represents.

  • @n8glenn The government isn't there to take care of you. It is there to grant us freedom and basic rights like speech, press, the right to bear arms, etc. But it isn't there to provide job, or social security, or to take money from the "evil" rich and give it to the "hardworking" poor. That isn't democracy, that is socialism. You probably don't care if money is taken from you and given to others. In fact you are probably someone who takes from others.....

  • @777danzig So let me get this straight, democracy is bad, and democratic government by the people, of the people, for the people, which is what we have, is totally stupid and unreasonable? Not only that, but the rich are good, the poor are bad, and if you give old people the money BACK that they've been paying into social security all their lives, that's SOCIALISM?! You're totally against yourself and your own rights, aren't you? Can't wait to be the slave of some banker, can you?

  • @n8glenn Government by the people, of the people, etc. means that we have the right to vote in who we want, not king or leader by birth. That is what a democracy is. It doesn't mean that the government gives money away. Government can't give money away when it doesn't have money, to get it it has to receive in in th form of taxes. And giving money back to the old through social security doesn't make sense, why take away the money in the first place when you are going to give it back?

  • @777danzig When am I going to give it back? That's a great idea, giving it back, I think I'll give it back through social security! You think the government can't take money and redistribute it? That means that government can't exist. That's a necessary foundational component for government to exist! If you don't pitch in for the military, for the roads, for the schools, and yes, for social security, then you have no state, you have anarchy, and will be invaded and subjegated.

  • @n8glenn .....You are one of the reasons why I am against socialism and people like Moore (who is rich). Why should I work 40+ hours a week and recieve the same benefits as someone who only works half as much if that even. The government should provide us with a safety net, but it should not take care of us. When the government doesn't take care of us as adults we have the chance to work hard and move up in life instead of working hard and provide for the ones that don't.

  • @777danzig You don't know anything about me. You think I'm taking from other people? Based on what? you think I'm somehow getting your money? How? If the government should provide us with a safety net, then you've just made my argument for me. Social security, medicare, medicaide, those are safety nets, we pay into them, and we are ENTITLED to them because of that. That's why they're called entitlements.

  • @n8glenn When I say the government should provide a safety net I mean local government should provide business regulations and welfare progams. The federal government is there to make sure we have our basic rights, like speech, voting, fair trail, and foreign affairs, and we should pay a flat tax to fund that. But things like health care and EPA should be dealt with locally. People like the idea of government social programs that help really needy people......

  • @n8glenn .....They just don't like the idea of a federal government making high taxes and just giving money away. I would like to know that if I hit a stroke of bad luck I would have the government bail me out until I get on my feet. I just hate the idea of the government, and federal government, bailing people out that just don't care. People like business regulations, they just don't want people from different states telling them what to do. That is the biggest problem right now.....

  • @777danzig Yes, you would like to know that if you had a stroke you would not be at the mercy of a private insurance company, or uninsured, because that would be a death sentence. No government, federal or local, can ensure that every single person who gets help actually appreciates or deserves or needs that help, but they can do their best, that's all they can do. You don't want the alternative to that system, as you yourself acknowledge, which is death for the poor when they get sick.

  • @n8glenn I said stroke of bad luck, meaning if I had a run of bad luck and I fell into money problems I would like to know that I would have a government help me out. That is the safety net, and it should be done locally. And when I get on my feet again I can pay them back. The problem is is that people just want to live off of the government, and at times the government feels that giving is the best where it isn't. I always would chose a private health care option over public.....

  • @777danzig talks about wanting to live off the govt. We only have to look at the mess the liberal Government here in the UK created on the question of tertiary education. We recently witnessed 2 violent demos. The country where I was born tertiary education was the responsibility of the parent. Knowing the high cost of university education, those parents who cared for their children took out insurance policies which paid for their child's fees on turning 18 yrs old. My son became a MD this way

  • @777danzig Who are all these people who want to live off the government? The minorities? The poor? Look, I know the popular conception is that blacks and latinos just want government handouts, maybe there are a few people like that, but the vast majority of people, no matter what color, do not want to live off of government cheese their whole lives. The LAST thing people want is to live off of the government, they want good jobs where they can earn REAL money.

  • @n8glenn I know a lot of white people on welfare. I don't mind if a local government helps people, I just want to see those people become better and try to become something. Instead they just want to live off of the government and they don't care. They don't try to educate themselves or live a healthy life, it is just sad.

  • @777danzig It is sad when people don't want to live good lives, and there are stupid people in the world, but there's nothing you can do about that. The question is, do you want to allow people who really need help to die in front of you because you're worried that somebody might get help who really doesn't deserve it?

  • @n8glenn We have charities and like I said, I don't mind a social program to help people until they get on their feet, but eventually they have to be cut off. It is like unemployment, we give them money but eventually they have to find a job, if the don't then they get cut off and then tough. Plus, the harsh reality is is that people die, whether you like it or not. And if we can save someone then great, but if it is going to hurt millions to save a few lives, then why bother?

  • @777danzig It isn't going to hurt millions to save a few lives. In other industrialized countries, no body dies because they can't get medical treatment, and you know what? They don't pay any more taxes than we do, I know, I've asked people in europe how much taxes they pay, and they pay about as much as we do, and they're pretty happy about it. Compare that with our system, did you know that 44,000 people die every year because they can't get health insurance?

  • @n8glenn Yeah, but there is not advancement in anything. People can't advance in life because they are hinder by taxes to just save a few. Our college education system is the best, that is why so many people come to the US for college. Our health care quality (not service) is the best because of all the money spent on research. We are allowed to move up in life which is why our country thrives so much. We are falling apart because now people are standing in the way of progress.

  • @n8glenn .....My family has a private health care option and after my dad's heart problem they paid for everything. Same for my knee injuries and shoulder injuries. I do feel that local government, not federal government should provide a public option, but it shouldn't waste money on giving away health care when we are a country of obesity and laziness. Plus, any public option would be worse compare to the private, just look at the schools.

  • @n8glenn ....The federal government is too big. People just want to mind their own business and live life and not have a government step in and tell them what to do because to the government they don't know better (social security for example). The federal government should grant us our basic rights, the local government should give us a safety net, and people should be free to move up, or down in life without the aid of the government.

  • @777danzig Yes, people should be free to move up or down, that's why we have social security, medicare, medicaid, public schools, etc. Take away any one of those things and it would severely hamper the ability of people, especially the desperately poor, to move up, and everyone would be virtually forced to move down.

  • @n8glenn Social security and medicare doesn't allow people to move up, it just lowers the standards. The system you describe is people work hard, "move up" and then they are taxed to see that the others that didn't work hard receive the same benefits. That is crazy. I worked hard and I moved up in life, why should someone else who doesn't work as hard as I do earn the same? Plus, taxing the ones who moved up hinders there chance of doing better, it is another hurdle to overcome.

  • @777danzig says social security & medicare don't allow people to move up. How very very true. We only have to witness the system here in the UK where a huge percentage of people refuse to get off their backsides & go out to work. We embarrass ourselves by having to rely on extremely hard working people from the continent to come here and are prepared to work even for less than what our lazy British citizens get on the dole.

  • @777danzig You're wrong. Social security and medicare DO allow people to move up, think about it, if you worked all your life, then had to choose between sending your kids to college, or eating, because you had no social security, how is that moving up going to happen? If you save all your life, then get sick and get wiped out by medical bills because there's no medicare, or die because there's medicare, then how are you going to move up?

  • @n8glenn If I work all my life and earn my money and was responsible enough to save it and pay for insurance then that is me moving up in life. When the government takes the money away from me and gives it to someone else who isn't responsible enough to save it then that is preventing me from reaching my full potential or move up in life and do what I want.

  • @777danzig So if the government taxes you so that the old and the poor don't die in the streets, that prevents you from moving up in life?! Come on, get real, you're so worried about the *possibility* of somebody getting some tiny portion of your taxes and using it the wrong way, that you're willing to watch people die who need help? The truth is medicare and medicaid is not taking all of your money or preventing you from doing anything.

  • @n8glenn Do you really expect to tax the rich pay the poor and elderley so that they can sustain the same lifestyle as those who have worked their butts off all through life? I don't know much about your medicare system but here in the UK where we have the NHS. On the surface it seems fantastic. But that's all it is. The free health system is fraught with problems and comes nowhere near to the level of service that BUPA (Private health care) offers and provides.

  • @n8glenn Have just watched achilling documentary about the brutal mexican druglords infiltrating tonnes of drugs into your country. These drugs wiil soon kill thousands of young vulnerable Americans. As I see the conspicuous absense of liberal protests on these extremely dangerous and evil druglords, would you care to discuss what you and your liberal fanatics are striving to do to combat this evil crime that is right there on your doorstep?

  • @n8glenn Why should we give money to the old, they had their whole life to save up for retirement, if the government didn't tax them then they will have money for retirement. And why is someone poor? I have seen people with food stamps buy pop and unhealthy food with them, they don't even care about their health and they are using my tax money to destroy their health and they don't care. Like I said, I don't mind a safety net, I just want them to help themselves. Anyway, we have charities.

  • @777danzig I'll tell you who's actually taking from other people, exxon mobile, which paid zero taxes and got a tax refund. Agribusiness, which is heavily subsidized by the government, goldman sachs, which actually got your money and won't be giving it back any time soon. We have a system of welfare for the rich and death for the poor who pay the rich for the privilege of starving to death. THAT is your socialism.

  • @n8glenn And I really don't see a problem in rich people. Why I do feel that big businesses should be taxed in a flat tax system federallly, and they shouldn't receive federal funding, taxing big businesses like exxon mobile because they are "rich" isn't the smartest thing. They create jobs and spend money. If we tax them the have less money to donate and less money to hire people. The need to make a profit, just because the make a profit doesn't mean the have enough money to save the world.

  • @777danzig I'm not against the rich or big business, but in reality they don't create that many jobs. The rich and the corporations are wealthier right now than they have ever been in the history of mankind. Where are all those jobs they are creating? It's not because of a lack of money that they aren't hiring, you know.

  • @n8glenn The rich create jobs, just because they don't hire directly doesn't mean they don't create jobs. They make profits, save money, then donate to research creating jobs, or build a new building creating jobs, or buy new land from someone who spends that money which flows money which creates jobs. People think that big businesses keep all the money, no, they save it and spend it. They have to make a profit too. Taxing and regulating them prevents them from spending.

  • @777danzig That's nonsense. The theory that the rich are creating jobs somehow even though they aren't hiring OR spending that money is not supported by any real data. Most of the people creating jobs right now are small businesses and immigrants and the poor. THEY are the ones spending their money and using their money to hire people.

  • @n8glenn I have never seen a wal-mart employee hire anyone, but I have seen many employees that were hired by wal-mart.

  • @777danzig Ok, then you don't own a small business. If you did, you'd depend on business from walmart employees, and farmers, and immigrants, etc.

  • @n8glenn I have been working for a small business for 7 years now. The owners are pretty well off, they aren't poor or immigrants and they hire people. The people that I work with don't hire people. The rich hire people and create jobs and spend money.

  • @777danzig Yeah, I own a small business and walmart never gave me any money. The people who do business with me are the poor, immigrants, farmers, etc. Furthermore, the few rich people who do business with me pay the exact same amount as everybody else, which to them is a pittance.

  • @n8glenn says the few rich people who do business with him, pay exact same amount as everybody else, which to them is a pittance. Is this pittance the fault of the rich people? Or is it your inept manner of running a business? I too own a business. In essence, I "rob the rich to pay the poor" and it works very well thank you. The not so well off get a good deal from me and the rich are quite happy to pay extra for quality work done. So it's a win win situation. PS All my work is "word of mouth"

  • @n8glenn The farmers who sell their food to wal-mart and then the farmers buy from your business with the money they received from wal-mart. Or the poor who work at wal-mart, make money and then spend it on your business. If the people who do business with you don't have a job from a place like wal-mart then they don't have money to spend on your business.

  • @777danzig That's not necessarily true, we're not all getting money from walmart, some farmers sell directly to clients, some sell to small supermarkets, or at farmer's markets, and immigrants mostly do jobs which are not connected to walmart or any major corporation. I'm not saying that nobody needs anything at all from walmart's, but small business and immigrants and the poor are the drivers of our economy and they are the ones who've been creating most of the jobs (here, not in china).

  • @n8glenn I do agree that farmers sell to clients and small markets, but that is only one part of the economy. Not everyone buys from small supermarkets and not everyone works for them or are farmers. Wal-Mart and other big companies employ a lot of people that spend money at places that employ more people. Without Wal-Mart millions are out of work or those small supermarkets will become bigger and take Wal-Mart's place.

  • @n8glennAs you cowardly see fit to ban me cos I criticise ur bigoted leftist liberal views, I;m forced to bring to your attention the latest in Israel. My apologies to 777danzig Rocket Attacks continue.1000's of residents of sthn Israel spent Shabbat in bomb shelters, as Hamas thugs from Gaza continued firing rockets at Israeli targets in the Negev. Since Thursday, Arab thugshave fired over 100 mortar shells and Kassam rockets at Israeli targets, with fifty fired since early Saturday.

  • @BGfromGB Don't make the mistake of thinking I'm scared of you, I'm not. I blocked you because you're a racist BNP supporter who hates islam and arabs and for that reason supports israel as it murders and steals from arabs. You don't want to start talking about violence if you support israel, that's an argument you're going to lose and lose badly, because israel is far more violent toward palestinians than vice versa. for every israeli killed, there's many times more palestinians killed.

  • @n8glenn I'm not a racist BNP supporter. Never have been and never will be. For your info, the BNP dislike the Jewish people just like you do., I support the historical state of Israel & its legitimate right to esist. Therefore I have nothing to do with the BNP. In fact your hatred for the Israeli state make you & the BNP birds of a feather. Yes, I hate Islam because it is a racist religion which will go to the end of the earth to carry out the obliteration of the world's oldest state.

  • @BGfromGB Don't lie. I remember you, and I know you're a BNP supporter. You might fool some people by denying who and what you are, but you won't fool me. You're a racist islamophobe, and a fascist, neo nazi and we both know that.

  • @n8glenn says Israel is far more violent than HAMAS. Rubbish Hamas have a death wish and the more violent they become the more they will be clobbered

  • @BGfromGB Rubbish?! Why don't you look into the numbers! Approximately 25,000 zionists have been killed since the 1850's. Almost that number were killed during the first part of the lebanon war in 1982 by israel! You're going to lose and lose big in this argument.

  • @n8glennYou're playing numbers now. 25000 deaths is 25000 deaths too many I'm not here to try and win or lose "big time" as you put it. That's your simple mentality.

Whether its 25000 Arabs or 25 Israelis is not the issue.. What is of concern is that 25000 deaths vs 25 deaths is 25025 deaths too many. Its this issue that makes me the "neo nazi" according to you!

It takes 2 to tango & like the rest your fanatical leftist ideology is powerless to do anything about it. It makes u the hypocrites

  • @BGfromGB as for the hamas rockets which are fired into sderot (an ethnically cleansed palestinian village now claimed by settlers), 30 people were killed during the entire history of that phenomenon. In response to those 30 deaths, israel killed over 1400 people, mostly women and children. And that's not even to mention the fact that while those rockets were being fired, israel was lobbing several times the number of rockets and mortars into gaza and killing people on a regular basis.

  • @777danzig. My apologies for barging your debate. But when I read the lies and invective being spewed by your leftist radical guest, I somehow have to get at him through other means as true free speech is seemingly anaethma to liberall extremists as your guest has demonstrated. He thinks he can muzzle me, but he is sadly mistaken.,

  • @BGfromGB Not accepted. Nobody was talking to you, and you didn't just "happen" upon our conversation. You barged in because you're stalking me and watching my conversations so you can spew some bile at me, and why? Because I had to block you from my channel, don't remember why but it was either because I got tired of your racism and bigotry, or because you broke the rules of my channel. It's not muzzling you to have my own personal channel where racists aren't allowed.

  • @n8glenn That's right I'm stalking you and yes I will continue to exploit your liberalistic egotism on other videos,so that others can see your platitudes are nothing but empty barrels.your debate with your guest is proof of that. You expect the successful hard working man owes a debt to those who are too lazy to go out do something, knowing full well that liberal bigots of your ilk will take pity on them. No sir, I was born poor & am now moderately successful, notr thru liberalistic ideals

  • @BGfromGB Now, don't bother kissing the hindquarters of danzig. He's not interested I would guess, because he's conservative, not neo-nazi like you. Probably not even a racist like you are. I can't speak for him, but I really doubt he's interested in your help, because like I said, he's not a neo-nazi or a racist, like you are.

  • For anyone who thinks that raising the taxes on the rich is effective, please watch 'EAT THE RICH!' on the BillWhittle channel and maybe get a little context and perspective on the matter

  • LMFAO!!!! Obviously Cenk never took economics to know what GDP is or A fiat currency is for that matter. Half the time I'm behind you Cenk and the other half you sound like a moron.

  • @Skindrift -- Koch brothers are private so it's hard to get exact #s.

But we do know from similiar operations that have incorporated that their "after taxes profit" is GREATER than their "before tfaxes profit" --

Indicating they don't send tax money in - they send a return in & get money back.

  • @DillonDee1 and that has what to do with GDP?

  • "What would you say to someone who made $50 million in an industry in which 90 percent of his fellow union members made less than $5,000 per year?

How about someone whose last project grossed over $220 million but who hired nonunion workers to save money? Unions should be up in arms." --Jerry Zandstra, Detroit News, March 25, 2011

  • you would say that michael moore is a fat ass.

  • honestly? low interest rates prove there is confidence in the U.S. government? almost ALL of that debt is in three month increments. Very few chicken little's think things will tank that fast. Add to that the fact that there is an indisputable global savings glut it's clear you can't draw that many good conclusions from the current rate. To top it off, You could CONFISCATE ALL the wealth of every millionaire and the country would be out of debt... for about three months.

  • Michael Moore made the bulk of his $25 million off Capitalism (GOOGLE - celebrity net worth). He disavows Capitalism by saying “Communism has won. Socialism has prevailed” watch?v=SRRe0EFdNpI

    .

Michael Moore states that the “Rich should share the wealth” He states that the money of the rich is ours. watch?v=wzfd_sNw2-Y

    .

“Michael, where’s my fair share of your money?”

  • We're not broke? This is so naive. Moore clearly shows he has no idea how money and credit are created in this country. We could tax 80% of all incomes and it still wouldn't be enough. We still have to sell the Chinese our debt. With over 50% of China's savings being in US debt it no longer makes sense for them to keep US dollars. If the dollar depreciates by half in 20 years, they lose half of their wealth.

Socialism simply isn't possible with creating money and credit out of thin air.

  • sounds like the rich want us to die and go broke so they wont i dont think its right that america is becoming neo-fascist country that the well to do agree on our living and our standards for their own favor. I dont think this will go on for a while we will see another class warfare like the one on the twenties and thirty that thrusted the country into a 3 class system. What will happen now since the middle class is now obsolete will we need a new system to calm the masses or a new deal.

  • Oh man, I'm just arguing the definition of "broke" with some people.

  • How can we win if the election machines are fixed?

  • Yes legislature is being corrupted so lets give them even more power, lets increase the size of government, that will work. As it stands the rich are paying more in taxes than any other group per capita, so when people say they need to pay their fair share I don't know what the hell they are talking about. People act as though being wealthy is some sort of crime that people have committed. You do not have a right to other peoples money regardless of your income class.

  • What are oil companies profits if not a tax on the working class? Not to mention that most of the oil they extract is on public property.

  • the republican party is truly hard to believe in their clear contempt for the middle and lower classes. the only thing more shocking is that a good portion of the lower and middle classes vote against their own interests due to ridiculous wedge issues like gay marriage and gun control. if a country is that stupid, its hard not to think maybe they deserve what they get. which is screwed.

  • I know the Republicans are bought and payed for, but you just wonder how they can live with themselves for waging war on everyone except the highest earners.

  • Confiscate all of the money of all of the 400 Billionaires of this country!

Put them in jail and make them pay our debt!

    Wha?

You mean all of those Billions from the Billionaires that we confiscate couldn't even balance this years budget?

Oops. We're broke and heading for a big crash, and Cenk, Michael Moore, Buffet have their feet on the accelerator. Now why would they do that?

  • @jag10 -- /But we could start paying down the debt if we made the Billionaires pay as high an overall rate as tthe middle-class.

  • @DillonDee1 , That's the thing, we can't pay down the debt.

If you imprison and confiscate all of the assets from every Billionaire, and you can't even cover this year's budget.

If you imprison and confiscate all of the assets of every single millionaire and billionaire - you still can't cover our National debt.

The Progressive system was designed to fail.

You have choices: war (protect their dollar) or austerity (protect their dollar) or keep printing money (lose everything).

  • @jag10 Opinion.., not fact!

  • @jag1 -- you could say the same thing about the massive debt we acquired for WW 2 - it couldn't be paid off by confiscating the wealth of the super-rich.

And we didn't go for confiscating what they had accumulated like Lincoln did - but we did put a Max Tax Rate on new income in the range from 50 to 90% & over the years we were able to raise more than the debt.

That is the way we did it then - THAT IS THE WAY WE CAN DO IT NOW!

  • @DillonDee1, Times have changed bro. Inflation is the tax that Progressive policy chose instead of raising taxes. Growing government unsustainable. The middle class now lives paycheck to paycheck - pending foreclosures, fleeced retirement - downward spiral.

The debt cannot be paid by raising taxes and printing more money - and it targets the middle class anyway. Which is why it makes sense to for the ruling class to do just that. And why they will keep their foot upon the peddle.

  • @jag10 -- You must have rocks for brains if you believe it's fair for someone making $5 Billion to pay a lower overall tax rate than you do.

  • @DillonDee1 , I never said that. My rocks are big, but not that big.

We all should be taxed equally, according to fairness and the constitution..

Now, you might say - the wealthy should pay more. I agree, they should, but the system protects them. The elite will always shield themselves from paying tax.

You government does not work for you, it never has.

I suggest you grow up, wake up, and protect your family.

I suggest you vote liberty instead of voting for UN, IMF, FED, MIC and CFR.

  • @jag10 -- when we fought WW1 we ran up a tremendous debt.

People said we could never pay it off.

We increased the Max Tax rate on the super-rich from 15% to 77% & all went well.

E did the same thing for WW2, The Korean War, & The Vietnam War & all went well.

Bush lowered the tax rate on the super-rich to 15% - THAT'S INSANE AND PUT US IN A MESS!

  • @DillonDee1 , I agree with you, everyone should be paying.

What I find disturbing is Cenk's statement:

"you are only broke when people won't lend you money anymore"....

And people really believe that... sad.

We have a ghetto fabulous economy and our Credit Card in Chief is buying jewelry and sports cars.

  • Wow, Cenk. You must truly be delusional if you think we're not broke as a nation. All we have is debt at this point.

  • @Jidster01 No, but we're not broke because we're still aloud to accumulate more debt, haha, that is seriously Cenk's argument..

  • @willsbanana lol. According to his philosophy then, if I am living off a credit card with a limit of 1 million dollars but I don't have enough money to pay it off, I'm still pretty well off. What kind of rationale is that?

  • wait... are they saying that some politicians are... corrupt!?

  • @Solareffects ...uhhhhhh, did you even read my fucking post, you retard? I was saying something NICE about Moore. Now go sit in a corner and think about what you did before I call social services to take your brain away so you cant abuse it any more.

  • @Etimos Hey hey now, aren't you a liberal? Now you go calling other liberals retarded and threaten them with Gestapo government, you kind of contradict your whole viewpoint and make the perfect case why government is totalitarian and elitist.

Always makes my belief stronger that the only decent left-wingers are the ones smoking pot and hugging trees (and typically dislike government), rather than the ones who are just whores for bigger and bigger government.

  • @Cyrus255

    1) No, I'm not a "Liberal", I'm actually more of a socialist, technically speaking.

    2) I said nothing about the gestapo or totalitarians. Read my fucking comment properly. I was talking about his ability to make speeches, NOT his policies.

Cant anyone fucking read the word 'nuremburg' without automatically assuming i'm calling somebody a nazi for christ sake? read the rest of the fucking sentence before you form an opinion on what I'm talking about.

  • Russ Feingold is haunting Wisconsin.

  • omg, dont worry about the economy michael, just live ur life. pls, economic problems last like 100 years soo just live it u lard ass.

  • Ok Since Were So Broke all Republican Governors Can Only Make $8000 a Year. Also No More Tax Cuts for Oil Companies Hey Were Broke Remember.....!

  • AMERICA IS STILL THE RICHEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. IT'S JUST THAT ALL THE BIG MONEY IS IN HOLLYWOOD N PRO SPORTS. THE TOP 2 PERCENT GOT IT ALL. EXCESSIVELY RICH YEAR AFTER YEAR. and they don't believe in sharing. that's not the american way-to share the wealth. the rite wingers just keep sayin over n over again we're broke 2 brainwash us in2 believing it. then they can pass their greedy, anti worker/ anti poor agenda. duh. the repub's can get away wit anything if ppl buy their lies n shit

  • @useacondompeople What Hollywood and pro sports have is nothing compared to the big banks. The actors, directors, and athletes who make multimillion dollar salaries deserve it because 90% of actors and athletes make middle class incomes or less because most of the money goes to the producers. Only when someone gets big enough that they can prove that audiences are paying for them do they get a big salary.

  • @scottandrewhutchins nah.u can b rich n then have salary caps/ income limits.the key word is EXCESSIVE here. the rich's greed has no limits/ no ending. how rich with millions each year does 1 f*cking person need?there's no need for these millionaires 2 get even more millions thrown at em over n over again.while the majority go without. it's all ABOUT SHOWING OFF.excessive, overwhelming wealth in the hands of the very few is stupid, sick, immoral,n wrong.ur defending n worrying bout the wrong ppl

  • @useacondompeople You're going after the wrong people. The people to go after are the bankers. the others need to be taxed fairly, but it' the bankers who are hoarding money for which they didn't actually work.

  • @scottandrewhutchins yea, talentless snooki and kim kardashiasn really earn/ deserve their excessive millions. wat a joke. the bankers r to blame yes. n wall street. but these dipshit, shallow, emptyheaded, greed obsessed TALENTLESS hollywood *unts are part of america's $ problem 2. wake up.

  • Right & left can agree Banksters are a leech on our society. Banks parasitically loan to people to buy stuff they don't need (bad by itself), then they charge those people further interest on that bad decision they encouraged. It's CRIMINAL when TAXPAYER money is given to banks so they can LOAN OUR money to US with interest.

Even Jesus forced banks to go bankrupt. The word bank = bench in latin, rupt = rupture. Jesus broke the bankers' tables in the temple. Pretty obvious whose side He is on.

  • @scottandrewhutchins you are an idiot and know absolutely nothing about sports/entertainment compensation

  • man someone has some indigestion problems

  • I think since so many Americans hate the rich Corperation, all the corperations should just leave America.

  • I want to know were MSNBC gets their information other then Bloomburg and Michael Moore? America is broke. If you make such little amount that you have to borrow more to pay your debt, then you are broke. It is only a matter of time before you go under. You can still borrow more money for awhile while you are broke. Going on MSNBC, Michael Moore and Bloomburgs theory, it is no wonder why so many people in America remain poor.

  • Did you know under our current tax system the poor pay no income tax but yet they get thousands of dollars? How about we end all tax credits and loop holes to both the rich and poor?

  • Actually Obama proposed to cut lots of the programs they are talking about in his budget proposal. But I want to know why the Demicrats are against the Fair Tax? With the fair tax there would be no loop holes and the federal government would bring in more money.

  • What happens when these debts become due? Eventually we wont be able to pay off our debt by getting loans from someone else. also what if interest rates rise? that means that the interest we pay will increase.

  • oh, oh, oh, I think corporations shouldn't be able to 'shelter' their income abroad.

I think corporations should pay taxes in USA.

    The income tax in USA.

The income tax in USA, which should be 0%.

    0% income tax.

Income taxes must be 0% for all people and corporations. Government must be cut.

  • The country is 'awash in cash' alright. Printed worthless money.

Is the country 'awash in wealth'? Yes. Chinese wealth.

Chinese wealth, not US wealth. US doesn't have wealth. US buys wealth from Chinese (products) for worthless dollars, thus exporting inflation.

The private funds are all dumping US treasury bonds. The only ones are buying are national banks - they are throwing good money after bad. Fed is buying 29%. National banks are buying 71%.

    US is broke.

  • Why isn't he interviewing a republican?

  • Please, say it without bad language. You'll get people to agree with you but not if you can't express your anger, which is justified, by using simple non-degrading language. Thanks.

  • Jesus christ, is anyone else seriously impressed by the sound of Michael Moore's voice during that speech? In person he's kinda nasal and 'nerdy', but on a stage in front of a crowd of people, suddenly he turns into fucking Speechmaster Rumblechest or some shit. It was like a fucking nuremberg rally without the anti-Semitic undertone, those people were going nuts.

  • Iit's depressing to realize that you & I have paid an overall higher tax rate than Walton Family heirs & the Koch brothers.

It's also depressing to realize we paid more Fed Income Taxes in 2009 than Exxon.

  • @DillonDee1 "Iit's depressing to realize that you & I have paid an overall higher tax rate than Walton Family heirs & the Koch brothers."

Higher tax rate? You probably paid more in absolute taxes!

  • @DillonDee1 OH jesus, the top 1% provide more for the country than the bottom 75%

  • Iit's depressing to realize that I (and you, too) have paid an overall higher tax rate than Walton Family heirs & the Koch brothers.

It's also depressing to realize we paid more Fed Inc Taxes in 2009 than Exxon.

  • Nice disucssion I hope the white house was watching .

  • Cenk is a sell out

  • @TheyDidThis define how cenk is a sell out

  • The man who made $5 Billion Dollars last year made more than the combined salaries of all 60,000 Wisconsin teachers.

The man who made $5 Billion Dollars last year made more than the combined salaries of all residents of Madison, Wisconsin.

And yet he'll pay a lower overall tax rate than the average Wisconsin resident.

This is not only wrong - it's WAY, WAY, WRONG.

We must put the tax rates back to what they were under Reagan to get out of this hole!

  • @DillonDee1 Dude, if you put up the tax rates on the rich to Reagan levels, that will pay for roughly a month of Obama's stimulus..

And raising taxes on the rich means, the corporations have less income to invest back into the company, meaning less growth, i.e less growth. Logic would tell you that, if you were educated..

  • @willsbanana -- we've heard the supply-side crap before

When Clinton raised taxes the current financial experts on Fox predicated it'd cause unemployment to go up & the DOW to go down.

Unemployment went down to 3.8% & the DOW tripled.

When Bush gave massive tax cuts to the rich they predicated unemployment would go down (it went up) and the DOW would soar (the DOW was lower at the end of Bush's 8 yrs than when he took office)

  • IN Conclusion -- It''s not fair that I, as a small businessman, pay twice as high an overall tax rate as the ueber-rich.

Warren Buffet admitted he paid 17% as his secretary paid 34%.

  • LOL!!!!

Did you say "DRACONION BUDGET CUTS CENK?"

Right!! $60 Billion in cuts out of a $4,700,000,000.000 ( $4.7 Trillion) Budget is "DRACONION" to you? We need to cut over $1.5 Trillion out of the budget before we even make a dent in our debt. Otherwise, we're not just broke, we're dead.

  • michael moore is a twat don't care if hes on the right side or not. He makes the right side of things look bad

  • @hmongboi206 if jesus came back we'd have Zombies AND rich people to contend with :/

  • anyone else's TYT vids extremely slow?

  • rendell has it exactly right - moderate dems are bullshit - they should stand up for what they believe in and if they lose, they lose but at least you can still hold your head high and you haven't validated the rigthwing bullshit by trying to play their game.

  • America is Oily, and stinks if lies, have a shower and put on some Odorono.

if you don't understand, I'm saying you need to reform your god damn country, because your stench is affecting everyone in the classroom.

  • Greece is such a false comparison... they have no Central Bank and thus must rely upon the EU for their monetary policy. And regardless of our debt - US Treasuries are still the most sought bond in the world even though they are only paying 2% and that right there is why Wall Street wants us to cut spending and pay off our debt so they can get a higher yield. Uh... hey you jackasses you already got 12.8 trillion dollars FUCK OFF!!!!

  • Wealthy have lowest tax rate in history and all cuts coming all affect low income Americans the most. The fix is in....

  • iF WE JUST PUT THE TAX RATES BACK WHERE THEY WERE UN
