Its my fault for even saying this on youtube because it is too long of a story to write. I did not get off the meds because of what the medium told me. I went off of them because I felt it was right and I actually functioned better afterwards then when I was on them. I believe schizophrenia should be treated with meds but not every person needs meds. Anyways, my story is too long to write here so I'm not going to bother.

The notion that an "entity" was "attached" to you as told to you by a psychic is distressing to say the least, particulalry if you had an emotional/psychological issue at the time. It's true what she said about dark spirits being attracted to people who are light and positive. I've always been a sensitive good hearted person and in my teens years I had terrible episodes where I thought I was going crazy because I opened myself to those energies. But what I'm really trying to get at is if you, yourself, were to have some kind of unexplained communication event you might then realize that it is a possibility for others as well. And that some people might be better at it than the rest of us.
Well, once again, to say that "some people might be better at it than the rest of us" implies that there was, in fact, a "communication" from some external source. This is the entire claim that requires testing. For instance, it is entirely possible the the communication was actually created by the person within his/her mind and therefore attributable to imagination, delusion, drugs or otherwise. Proof of the communication has to come first, and this is easily testable.
Also, the mere presence of unexplained phenomena does not indicate a similarly inexplicable source. For instance, seeing bright lights in the sky is no grounds for concluding that those lights are alien visitors; although many, many people make that error in logic often. The same is true here; an unexplained communication need not be attributable to an afterlife, pyschic message, or other supernatural source. And if someone can receive these types of things, it could be replicated.

I notice you avoid addressing your claim, which was, "oh and someone who helps police with cases cannot be a fraud idiot." Furthermore, the show is horrifically bad and appeals to the lowest common denominator, such as you, which explains why it is so successful; there are many simpletons just like you in the world. That's true; there is no accouting for bad taste. Funny that you first avoid stating whether you believe in her mularky but then go on to defend her saying she isn't "hurting" anyone with her fraudulent claims and actions. Well, perhaps you should talk to Karen Sitts. Or, talk to some of the families of crime victims who she claimed to have "helped". The hurt is done through capitalizing on highly emotional situations into which she contributed nothing yet benefitted from personally.

The implication was that the psychic somehow fixed your problem. This much we do know about you from your own statements. If what you say is true, then you have been sorely mis-treated at the hands of a medically untrained con artist. Psychics are no substitute for clinically trained physicians.

Its my fault for even saying this on youtube because it is too long of a story to write. I did not get off the meds because of what the medium told me. I went off of them because I felt it was right and I actually functioned better afterwards then when I was on them. I believe schizophrenia should be treated with meds but not every person needs meds. Anyways, my story is too long to write here so I'm not going to bother.

You story makes much better sense now with the clarification. I would be very wary, however, of psychics. The notion that an "entity" was "attached" to you as told to you by a psychic is distressing to say the least, particulalry if you had an emotional/psychological issue at the time. Such a thing might complicate any delusions or problems with reality, particularly if you are prone to such fantasies.

It's true what she said about dark spirits being attracted to people who are light and positive. I've always been a sensitive good hearted person and in my teens years I had terrible episodes where I thought I was going crazy because I opened myself to those energies. I finally went to a medium who told me about the entity that was attached to me. Getting on meds made things worse. Now im off meds and know how to recognize when I'm being messed with psychicly. It sounds bizarre but it is real.

Not necessarily. Dubois claims she can "head tap" through the mind of the killer him/herself. Meaning the actual living killer in a given case. This has nothing to do with an afterlife as this person is, according to Dubois, living at the time. With respect to the other claims, yes, it would be impossible to communicate with something that does not exist. Yet we cannot allow any examination of Dubois to pre-suppose an afterlife merely because she claims to communite with it.

Yes, as far as the "head tapping" goes an afterlife is a moot point. But what I'm really trying to get at is if you, yourself, were to have some kind of unexplained communication event you might then realize that it is a possibility for others as well. And that some people might be better at it than the rest of us.

Well, once again, to say that "some people might be better at it than the rest of us" implies that there was, in fact, a "communication" from some external source. This is the entire claim that requires testing. For instance, it is entirely possible the the communication was actually created by the person within his/her mind and therefore attributable to imagination, delusion, drugs or otherwise. Proof of the communication has to come first, and this is easily testable.

Also, the mere presence of unexplained phenomena does not indicate a similarly inexplicable source. For instance, seeing bright lights in the sky is no grounds for concluding that those lights are alien visitors; although many, many people make that error in logic often. The same is true here; an unexplained communication need not be attributable to an afterlife, pyschic message, or other supernatural source. And if someone can receive these types of things, it could be replicated.
