Grover was so silly to go out on a cold night, but to lock Kermit outside was too heartbreaking to watch. I haven't seen this is almost 30 years and I feel happy and sad at the same time. I'd be setting Grover up with a nice warm jacket and send him on his way and then I'll take Kermie inside and warm him up with blankets and some green tea.
@maziebunny2 I never forgot this. It had upset me too. What are the chances that Blue's Clues or Dora will have that much of a memorable effect on today's kids?
I am glad to see I wasn't the only one who cried at the end of this skit. I was telling my 8 yo son about this skit and told him how it made me cry when I was little.
I remember this when I was 6 years old,and at the end I would always start to cry because I felt so sorry for Kermit because Grover locked him out of his own house in the freezing snow and could not hear Kermit scraping on the window with those earmuffs on. and today I still feel the same when the music plays at the end. Thanks for posting this classic.
I used to cry at the end when I saw this as a child. I just felt sorry for Kermit. I hope he doesn't become a frogcicle. He ought to keep a spare key over the door or under the mat.
Kermit: It's not easy being Warm.

They should've shown Kermit shiver and freeze more and then freeze into a popsicle and go all rigid and become a block of ice.

Grover is very naive, though he really is very loveable.

Respond to this video...
This sketch must have been made around Season 5 or earlier, because I think I remember it when I was four.

I thought cold weather was just a myth.

A little bit of a sociology lesson, too. How many people try to steal what other people have worked hard for?

That's the cruelest thing Grover ever did.
Kermit's condition reminds me of that of Elizabeth Taylor in "The Last Time I Saw Paris".

And then Kermit suffered Hypothermia and was treated by the best doctor Sesame Street had to offer... Sadly, this Doctor was Grover.
