We actually use both. The raw movie is edited on a PC using Adobe Premiere but the titles and final product is created on a Mac with Livetype and Final Cut. The videos are exported using Quicktime and Visual Hub

okay, for people wanting to know how to lower your weapon in halo 3

What you do is: press and hold. RB LB Down ( on the D pad) Click in the Left Thumbstick. And A. Hold them for about 3 seconds. Then you gun will be lowered. But! it only works on Local matches. ( that i know of) and maybe system link. If you have any questions messege me.

nah man videos are game code and only viewable on 360's...Although you can't record and play ur halo 3 videos on Bungie, In Skate, you can record videos of yourself AND watch them on ur computer i dont understand why Bungie didn't take that approach...It would have helped sales with the games at least a little bit

we use a capture card. but there are many means of capturing footage. i'd recommend a capture card simply for simplicty, but you can also use many digital camcorders as well as advanced graphics devices to capture footage from tv (xbox) to your computer.

Thank you all for your suggestion on how to lower weapons. We do know of the glitch that can be done on a LAN and will look into incorporating it as needed in the future.

Only downside is that your guys are always pointing guns at each other. Can you not lower your weapon because you record this on XBox Live, or do you not know that holding LB+RB+A+Left Thumbstick In+Down on D-Pad for a second or two will lower your weapon.

I'd suggest avoid moving the "camera" while filming. The stationary angles seemed to suit it better.

Really? Rico is not a fucking moron; Sarge is. Shadow is not retarded pervert; Tucker is. We're not making 'skits' we're making a SERIES, with a PLOT LINE, a REAL plot line that RvB was sort of missing. I'm a huge fan of that series, mind you, but there wasn't a lot of sensical plot there.

Not only that, this was ONE scene from a teaser trailer and if you're basing your "U RIP OFF RVB" opinion on that, then you're a bigger idiot than you made yourself look.

The humor is way to similar to RvB but not as good, seriously though Id try to differentiate from them as much as possible, (personally I would have chosen a different game but hell) take some time to write something original or atleast get some less cliche characters.

I say all this after I failed at my own Machinima so I guess take my words with a grain of salt.

Thanks for your input but we have been doing this for over 3 years now and understand what we are doing. We also work very hard to create original plots and characters, but in case you haven't noticed, many movies tend to have similar character types. Why? Certain traits make for better, funnier movies.

yes, outpost backwash has basically been canceled. we had too much trouble getting the necessary people together to do it and then as halo 3 got closer and closer to release, we decided to abandon it altogether.
