my theory on why an agent couldnt dodge a sword.... the guns agents use were matrix code thus they could dodge the bullets...the sword was being held by a person outside the matrix code thus they could not know the codes position..say a sword strike....once a bullet leaves an unplugged users gun, the matrix program will simply read its trajectory .but i would theorize held objects from unplugged users the code is not readable at the time thus sword strikes not predictable or like trinity

Or maybe it's because swords are very different from guns, and Agents are used to dodging bullets rather than melee weapons.

Bullets are very small, and easy to dodge for the Agents, also guns are used at long range. Swords have long thick blades, and used in close range. Agents are probably used to doging bullets and not swords, since nobody would ever get close enough to them to use a sword or any other blunt object.

98% of it's box office profit is attributed to corporate sponsorship from Coca Cola and McDonalds. There is no way anyone would have gone to see that movie unless it was thrown at them in commericals for 4 months leading up to it's release.

Cameron is not that good of a writer or director, he's the epitome of mediocre, he just has the money to stroke the dick of major corporations so they'll promote his shitty movies.

I use stumbleupon a lot so i'm bombarded with references to an old ass movie like 5 times a day even though I never once thumbed any references to it up, and am not a huge fan of it. Geeks are just SO SO SO obsessed with it that its like that first year after 9/11- no one will shut the fuck up about it, you have to hear about it every day. The difference is though that eventually died down. Star wars has been going for 30 goddamn years!

Star Wars had a huge impact on me, since it was big part of my childhood. I grew up watching those movies, even if they were well before my time.

I suppose that, if something has an impact on you, your never going to forget about it and talk about it forever.

Star Wars will go on for a long time.

To me, Star Wars was a first, just like The Matrix was a first.

Star Wars was the first time we saw lightsabers, blaster rifles, jedi and sith using the force, etc.

The Matrix was the first time we saw bullet time, Agents dodging bullets, people doing all these crazy moves, etc.

Both movies were revolutionary at the time they came out.

You also have to admit, for Star Wars coming out in 1977, those were damn good special effects.
