Dude, you don't know how to play the game to totally lose against the weakest ship the computer has! I have gotten my money's worth from this game 100X over, there is even a hooker ship with a stripper pole anime for the crew, lol. I like to play the little kamakazi squirel against the huge green battleships scenerio. I used to dominate my Son (younger) at this, now he holds his own whenever we play on reunions, good memories. I am way to good at this game though, lol. 20 years of entertainment!
@thegameulost I know your comment is ancient by Internet standards but it bears saying for those tempted to join in on the ridicule of Willowbob's performance: yes, emulated Star Control is incredibly laggy. I have tried several different ROMs in the last hour or so and it is nigh unplayable. Even the latest version of Fusion which runs historically troublesome games like Target Earth cannot run Star Control. Pity because the Genesis version of Star Control is superior to the original PC game.
no word of a lie...I became so good at this after playing it for six years...I could defeat anyone by playing with my toes! The transformer was effectively the best ship because u could launch missiles and hang back out of range, then transform quickly when you want to turn quicker.

Should make another vid "Let's play Star Control" demonstrating the games dynamic between strategy and action. Good vid though...even if the dummy opponents do play like they're deaf dumb and blind
My point is... you dont have a point. If you wanted to make a point, you would say "The Sega version is better then -insert game system here-" Or the Sega version is the best version. Using the word "better" implies that you are comparing. If you only list one side of a comparison, it doesnt make sense in English, and is pointless.

I was pretty good at this game too. The inertia ignoring, warp drive equiped, auto-laser Arilou was probably my favorite. Followed by the double machine & forcefield gun Yehat. The earthling missile sound was pretty cool. Urquans were menacing opponents.
Some ships weren't well represented in the video, heh.

Why do the Umgahs enemies just fly directly into his wall of death? It's easy to beat his ship with just about any of the opposing ships.
