I bought this game around 1983. It has absolutely nothing to do with the film Alien, but was clearly a thinly-disguised Pac-Man ripoff--just like he says. However, it was so much more playable that Atari's own Pac-Man, it made up for the cheap Alien plug.
yea seriously. I clicked this thinking it would be about Paul Potts. This review sucked pretty bad and was boring on top of that. Leave the interesting old game reviews to the Angry Video Game Nerd.
Either you have a defective controller, or you didn't have your controllers properly mapped out in the emulator. Alien actually plays very well....it's 100X better than Pac-Man for the 2600.

Actually, you can use the fire button in the game. It fires the humans flamethrower.
