Well, I don't know if you've ever played Ukulele but, I was wondering if the Mandolin consists of the same chord placements as the Ukulele just with more strings? And if Mandolin is any harder to learn from Ukulele?
Haha! Nice you are very good! I think you look like my dad when he plays music. He stares angrily at the neck. But he can't play that well! Great job!
@hippiejamsession thats because its a basic 12 bar blues play....which is exactly what rock and roll by led zeppelin is, along with red house and johnny b goode and countless other songs.
Thanks! The first part is in B flat, then it moves up to D via C. Second part is in D, first changing between D (fingering: 4 2 3) and D7 (4 2 1), with A/A7 and G/G7 - hope that helps - its is not very complicated
Nice work! Pretty cool. The only rock I have ever tried to do on the mandolin are some Buddy Holly tunes and etc. This is fun to listen to -- it is kind of hard to see exactly what frets are used on these video -- on the second part of the song you were making what looks to be a full D-chord and then playing off it?
What is the progression on this piece?
What kind of a mandolin are you playing? You make a good sound from it.

Love it! Watching your left hand reminds me of Brown Sugar by the Rolling Stones. I'd love to see you do that on a Mandolin. Great job, loved it!

Is that a normall size mando? Great song :)

This is a normal size american F5 style mandolin with a normal scale like a Gibson F5, it was built by french luthier Hervé Coufleau.
